"I had driven by Main Street Bar plenty of times, and it seemed small.. run down...almost too divey if that's a thing. Or more like it just wouldn't be my cup of tea. Boy.. was I wrong. It's a nice, quaint, neighborhood bar, that definitely needs to be judged once inside. The bartenders are prompt and super friendly. The inside of the bar has about 10-15 tables, and then stools around the bar. There is a nice large patio as well. They do offer bar food, which I did not try. There was a shuffle board table inside as well, and plenty of TVs. They have been around for like 30 years! They did have house infused liquors as well, but I just went with my usual, and ordered a beer. Which was served to me in a koozie! Whoa. You just won my heart, Main Street Bar! We came in on a Saturday night, they were going to have a band, and my MIL was looking for some good live music. The band had a nice little set up, there is a small stage where they preform. I am under the impression there is live music every Saturday, different bands. It was definitely busy for a Saturday night, but not too packed, still enjoyable. Definitely a dive bar. Different specials offered each day! And a comedy night!"

"First things first! We had thee BEST service here!!!!!! Our waitress was at point. We were there with a large party and she never forgot about us! The place is such nice and a chill. If it wasn't for this TEXAS heat we would have appreciated it so much more lol! But they do have seating inside so that's a very good thing! We had appetizers and they were delicious! I definitely want to be back."

"I love this place. Always a good time with friends or siblings. Brunch on Sunday was nice with Bucho. The outside patio and roof top area are nice. Roof top has a pretty great view. Mimosa set up is a nice price at $10-11 I believe. I've seen it change before though. Would continue to come back for the drinks. Not all customer service has been great though."

"My pharmacy school friends and I enjoy going to Sideliners to play volleyball and relax after exams. It's turned into a weekly tradition for us. Some of us get in on the game, while others hang out, chat, and order some food. It's just $5 per person to play. The courts are always clean, and the atmosphere is really welcoming. I definitely recommend checking it out!"

"We personally enjoyed it here. We went during the day on a Sunday. There were people but not over crowded at all. We were able to order quickly at the bar downstairs. Ordered a rum punch. Paid $7. We went upstairs to the patio area. They also have a bar upstairs. We were able to find seating at the edge of the patio. It was a beautiful day to be outside. We loved the music they had playing (country music). We had been wanting to come to this place for a while. So glad we were finally able to make it out."

"23 Aug 2024Knockouts was part of our pub crawl this past Friday. It's not as 'nice' as say, Sparky's, but it's not totally a dive, either. We were there relatively early, about 5:30pm. We sat at the bar with a few other people. The bottled beer was cold and only $2.00. There are a couple of TVs at the bar and they weren't tuned to RuPaul!! Ha. Ha. Actually tuned to ESPN. Khloe was the bartender and the music we were hearing was one of her playlists. Pretty good stuff. She was quite personable. This bar is quite spacious with ample indoor seating as well as patio seating out front. There is a window from which the outsiders can order a drink without coming in. Another plus is that you can walk through to Pup's Pizza, right next door if you get the hangries. Go there."

"I was hungry for fish and chips - English style, so my wife and I went to eat there. It was a little difficult to find because it's tucked in behind a building. Anyway, it was pretty dark when we arrived and not busy at all. Luckily, the bartender/waiter was there. We told him we heard about how good their fish and chips were and wanted to try them. My ordered a Cobb salad, which she declared, was delicious! The fish and chips were as good as advertised. I would not say similar to the English version though. I got a pint of Guinness to wash it down. Overall, the place was ok. It may be a little dark inside but maybe it needed more people in it. Their fish and chips are worth going back though. I'm just saying!"

"Retro video games! This bar is part of a chain of two other Slackers. They specialize in cheap drinks and games! This bar is smaller than the other locations, it's kind of a hole in the wall. But it's jam packed with old video games! When I went, I got to play some first person shooter game and a round of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! They have basketball, Ms. Pac-Man and plenty of other old games that will make you wanna keep pumping quarters into the machines all night! The video games all worked properly, and the controls were still firm- just like they were in the '80s. With the mix of sweat and alcohol, those joysticks can get icky, but someone seems to be maintaining these games!The service was fast, and the beer was cold! They're more than happy to make change for you too. My only complaint is that when I went, they didn't have nearly enough seating. However, if you're sitting in some chair, you're not playing any games, so maybe that's for the best! The place is relatively clean. Parking can be challenging here- it's located amid all kinds of other bars and the area can get hoppin' on a weekend night. It's a fun bar! When you're considering alternative forms of entertainment on the strip, paying a quarter for a video game is cheap!"

"Little Woodrows has literally everything you want in a bar. Like if you're in the mood for a club scene, you'll feel it. Play darts and skee ball? You can. Catch a sports game? It's on. Tasty food? They've got that too. They have a good outdoor space where pups are welcomed. They have garage doors inside that I'm assuming at some point open up to the outside during less hot months. DJ was located in the corner and if you're above 30yr you might have wanted him to turn down the music a tad lolThe loaded fries were damn good and please do yourself a favor and get the chicharrones and yes you'll need to share them, such a huge order. Tasty beer on tap too."

"We visited this location on a Sunday for Sunday-Funday. When we arrived the DJ was playing great music and it was an older crowd because it was Fathers Day. They were also promoting tequilas and tacos for the day. The drinks were good but kind of small for the price We switched to beer because it seemed more cost effective. The bartenders were not too friendly but were ok. I would go back again...maybe during happy hour."

"Even though I live near this place and have been driving by it for long time now, it was only recently that I finally stopped in when I was craving a burger. I must say it's a real good deal for the price, for the most part. However, the only complaint I have comes today. I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich, great crunch and flavor. They pound the chicken breast pretty thin so it looks HUGE (see my pictures of it) . I would say maybe leave a little bit of the thickness to it. My other complaint is that I decided to add bacon and cheese to it. A couple of strips of bacon came to $2.25 and cheese was $1.45 The food comes out of the kitchen super fast and the waitresses are almost always super attentive!"

"I love Evil Olive so much. The food is sneaky good. You know what I mean. Like WAY BETTER than you'd think it would be, drunk or not. Kelli is the best bartender I have ever known in my life and probably will ever know. The quesadillas, the mozz sticks, the wings, the nachos, the sandwiches (all of them; I have had all of them) the burgers, everything is amazing. Everything. I will love this place until I die because the company, the vibes, the service and the quality are exactly what I need. I hope you always come to Evil Olive. I love this place."

It's your typical neighborhood bar where the men to women ratio is pretty outnumbered. Nonetheless my girlfriends and I have enjoyed the quaint and relaxed environment. You can 100% tell who the regulars are. Their loaded fries are my favorite food item if you need a buffer for the alcohol."

"It's been a while since I've been to this location but we went on a Wednesday Happy Hour ALL DAY by the way. We were a little disappointed to see that the food menu changed but we were hungry and that didn't stop us from ordering. We dabbled in the lemon pepper wings and chicken quesadillas... and they were both SO good!! Their crowd was minimal so we were able to get drinks quickly and appreciated the $3 wells happy hour special for sure! Bartender was polite and the place was clean. It was my first time sitting at the actual bar and I must say.. those barstools are COMFORTABLE as heck! Haha can't speak for the night crowd as I'm more of a happy hour, drinks right after work and head home early kind of gal so I def recommend the 5-8pm crowd if you're looking to just relax and catch up with friends! The outside is huge, lots of seating, two big TV screens and some games to enjoy. FYI my chicken quesadillas picture is of two slices but it comes with 4 (got hungry before I snapped the photo)."

"Great dive bar that seems to have the charm of regulars and special events viewings. I wasn't thrilled with the location or the unfriendly bartenders but in their defense it was pretty busy on a special day. Our friends invited us for their annual philly cheesesteak sandwhich day and the place was packed and waiting for the cowboys/eagles? game. It's a smoking bar so I wasn't able to stay long since my allergies don't allow it and I'm not keen to eating while breathing smoke. Otherwise, I can definately see this being a great hangout bar for those who do."

"It was our first visit and meeting up with family for a casual get together driving between San Antonio and Austin. The food was delicious and freshly made and the bartender and server were so sweet and welcoming. The fried green beans were tasty and I loved the homemade ranch dressing to dip it in. The Philly cheese steak sandwich and crinkle cut fries were so crispy and good. The cheese burgers were the most popular at our table and everyone said they were so good and flavorful. "I started going to the 4th Quarter during football season. It's my favorite bar to watch the games. In some ways it's a typical neighborhood sports bar. Lots of TVs, including a giant screen with 6 tvs around it, and central bar on the first floor. Local folks, local flavor. Then there's the differences. They have an upstairs area that has more of a "lounge" feel with three distinct areas. There's a card area that is semi walled off and the two lounges. One area has red couches and ottomans, with 2 tv's, the other has blue couches and 1 tv. It has a semi intimate feel. These lounges overlook the bar downstairs so you're never far from the action.I love the Long Island Ice Tea in a pitcher for $5. Silly me thought the pitcher was to share (why was there 2 straws in it?). No, it's meant for one...I usually get extra cups and try share anyhow. They also had a food truck on the weekends after 2p. Good food, reasonable prices and they'll deliver TO YOUR SEAT! What more can you ask?"

"I had so much fun here. I went with a group of friends. We got there around 10:30 and had to park down the side street. We walked in not knowing what to expect but we had a BLAST!! There is one huge room when you walk in with TVs and pool tables then next to that there is another room and that's where the magic happens. DJ was amazing. He played so many great songs. It was super easy to order drinks at the bar and the girls were super sweet. The dance floor is kinda small but we managed to dance the night away. There is a taco truck across the street and it was so good to. I wish I had the name of it but trust me... it's good and fresh. If you want to listen to some cumbias and old school music this is the place to be. I will definitely be returning to dance another night away."

I can't speak for the night time staff and crowd however my friends and I went to enjoy some happy hour drinks on a Sunday and had a great time! The place was super clean I must say! (I did have to ask for soap for the bathroom though). Dez was our bartender and she was super welcoming and attentive to us, she will be the reason we return for sure. "If I could give it more stars I would, this place is phenomenal ! Pricey, but you're getting what you paid for. Atmosphere is great, very inviting. The food was freakin delicious, me and my family cleaned our plates. Philly cheesesteaks for them and I got a pizza steak, so cheesy. My brother got beer on the house, they're generous with the sizes of margs beers and fountain drinks, so crisp. And the sweet potato fries are some of the best I've had. I'll definitely be returning and trying out more of what they have to offer"
