"Great service, polite employees and the owner was very hospitable. Would recommend the funnel cake, the Gorilla Drank as well as the Gorilla Blood."
"Wonderful little place. Reminds me of the snack shops in Laredo and the valley.Stopped next door to get an appliance and while we were waiting the kids and I snuck next door to la Chiquita for some scoops and fun.The staff is super nice and friendly. There's plenty of flavors of ice cream, paletas, and tons of snacks. All your favorite drinks like topo Chico and big red are present and ready to wash down whatever you're eating. Don't miss this neighborhood gem!"
"Love this place! My husband gets mangonada and I get corn cup.. The prices are great and kids are all happy with icecream and snow cones"
"Finally a real paleta place on the north side!! So tired of paying crazy north side prices!! This place is open til 10pm so I can always swing by on my way home to stock up. The man up front is always so sweet and helpful and of course the paletas are yummy! The location is clean and easy to find with plenty of parking. Love this place!!"
"I love this place! I wish it was open everyday! Check out their FB page for their open times. They have plenty of parking but it is a small business so it's not meant for large crowds(maybe two families). I go here just for their white corn! I totally recommend it! If your from el Valle and are in search of a good corn-in-cup or tosti-elote, you will LOVE this place!! Very authentic! Very clean place and a menu with a variety of delicious items to order. My family loves their ice cream cones and ice cream in a cup(they can add toppings). They have photos on the wall of the items so you know what to expect. I recommend, 10 outta 10!!"
"Shaved ice and corn in a cup. The perfect summer snack combo. What I love about Snow Monkey is they have what they call "natural" flavored shaved ice. So instead of the sugary, sticky syrup, they put real fruit and juice on the fluffiest ice ever. Mango, pina colada, strawberry, coffee, tamarindo, etc. You still have your choice of about 50 syrup flavors too, if that's your thing. The reason for only four stars is because I wish they had a better hang out spot to sit and enjoy the ice. Instead, there are two small tables that may or may not be available, and you are so close to Fredericksburg Rd that you hear and smell Via busses drive by every 5-7 minutes. Still doesn't keep me from going."
"Just stopped by this new business on the south side of canyon lake when I saw their flags advertising hot dogs and elote. I ordered two burgers that came with chips and a drink for $8.50 each. It was a pretty good deal for the size of the burger, and it was a good burger. The service is awesome! The owners are very courteous and seem very determined to serve their customers the best they can. They sell a variety of snacks such as snow cones, some ice cream, and classic Mexican snacks like elote and hot Cheetos with cheese. This is a place I'll go back to for sure. The only down side is that they seem to only take cash for now, but definitely worth it. Hope to see this business thrive!"
"Typical fruteria with big assortment of ice cream flavors and fruit. They also have nachos, a little stale, and beverages. The employees serve generous helpings of your favorite snack. It is hot inside on summer days and the are occasionally uncouth parents there who let their nasty kids run around, including in the parking lot, with no concern for safety or the comfort of other patrons."
"Dropped by a late Saturday afternoon and there was already a line. Line moves a bit slow but totally worth it. Menu is on the wall with tons of items so the slow moving line actually worked in my favor.Italian Ice Large - $4.50Got a strawberry and a mango with chamoy and lucas. Both were fabulous in flavor and cheap for the quantity/quality. Wasn't too sweet, didn't taste artificial, and super refreshing and flavorful on a hot day.Corn in a Cup Large - $4.50Corn was filled to the brim with corn, cheese, mayo, and they give you the option to add in lucas, lime, and a spicy mixture. Great flavor with everything you'd expect on an Elote. I appreciated finding a second layer of cheese and mayo halfway down the Styrofoam cup so that it wasn't just the first few inches that had the extra stuff with the corn.Had a great snack with both sweet and savory options. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area!"
"My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week if not more. We have tried most things on the menu at this point and every food and drink item we've tried has been delicious. I especially have enjoyed the elote (corn in a cup) and aguas frescas topped with chamoy and fruit. It's a cute little spot and we are usually in and out in under 15 minutes. It's nice that the employees speak Spanish as my boyfriend speaks Spanish to communicate well with them. Our orders always come out perfectly."
"When you want a snack-ie snack hit this place up! Delicious treats, excellent customer service, family owned & operated. Also picked up some filter water that tasted great 5 gallons for like two dollars honestly cannot beat that !"

2118 IH 35 right off the access road next to Ross Hair Salon. For the last 10 years better known as Snowcone Addiction is now open and running for San Antonio to fulfill its tummy's desires as ALAMO CITY ADDICTION. Great spot to relax with a large variety of snacks to choose from! Home of Da Real Gorilla Drank! If you haven't tried their menu then you are definitely missing out! The Morales family is amazing and is growing as a true favorite spot in San Antonio! I will continue to be a loyal customer!

I really wanted to love this place as much as many of the reviewers, but I have been spoiled by the awesome food at Raspas El Payasito. The young man in the store was very nice and quickly took my order. I ordered corn in a cup and a fruit cup.The first thing I noticed about the corn was that it's just average canned corn. It should be made with freshly roasted corn. The fruit cup contained watermelon, pineapple, cucumber, and cantaloupe. The watermelon they used was overly ripe. The cantaloupe was hard. So I'm still in pursuit of a good cup of corn in San Antonio.

I'm a huge fan of the piccadillies here. They put plenty of crushed pickle and don't use huge pieces like Big Daddy's and the shaved ice isn't melted either so you still get the balance of the pickle's sourness with the sweet and tartness of the snow cone syrup and the fine crushed snow. That's right, snow, not crushed or shaved ice. The machine actually cranks out snow that is much more coarse than the shaved ice you get at the competition and doesn't stick together. So if you want a good piccadilly then you gotta come on over to Snow Monkey. I crown them the Piccadilly Kings.I don't care much for the mangonadas though. Go to Snowcone Addiction or Gorilla's for those. Snow Monkey isn't generous with the chamoy either. The service, however, is good and there's no huge line.

"Very clean & it's never disappoints me! My go to place for a fruit cup and agua fresca! No line. They have drive thur open, they take Credit, debit or cash. So good located on the southeast side. By bill Miller lane"
"Local Bandera Gem!!! My family and I came here on a Tuesday night around 7:30 pm. We parked in their small parking which is shared with other businesses but there were plenty of spot open. Walking inside the music is loud but plays good hip-hop/pop gems, probably to satisfy its younger clientele. Ice Ice baby serves mainly savory/spicy/sweet Mexican-inspired treats using natural fruit, Lucas, Tajín, chamoy, and other gummy/spicy toppings to enhance any treat for a customers personal preference. Their wall behind the creation station features images and names of their products offered which makes it very helpful for any customers unfamiliar with these types of treats. The two young ladies working were both friendly, efficient, and great multi taskers. They explained options very well, and very considerate when helping my older family make their choices of sweets. We decided to try both sweet and savory treats to share amongst my family so we got to try as much as we could. The corn in a cup was by far my favorite choice as I ordered it spicy with Taki-dust and had lots of other chili pepper spice and good creamy mayo for a delicious taste and amazing texture. Yum!! The Italian ice was very smooth with great fruit flavor that was not an overpowering sweetness. The pineapple treat (piñanada) was also a very fresh/sweet/spicy choice with lots of sliced pineapple, good amounts of Lucas and chamoy drizzled across the top, we added some spicy fruit bands for more chewy texture. The price after tax and tip were not too bad, I think the presentation, serving amounts, and fresh ingredients were all very much worth the value. The service was very good, and the spot was well maintained. My family all loved the food and said they'd want to come back again. Great spot for a sweet/spicy fruit tooth!"
"Everything was amazing and I can't wait to go back to try other things. I had the strawberry raspa with lechera, I hadn't found a raspa that reminded me of my hometown until now, they even add fresh strawberries on top, I loved it. My husband had the Guava raspa which apparently won an award, I understand why, it was also really good and with fresh fruit as well. We both ordered corn on a cup, I asked for nacho cheese on mine as well, so good!! They had yellow or white corn which I loved because I usually just find yellow corn. Can't wait to go back for another raspa and another yummy snack!"
"Just witnessed a woman order "the usual" and proceed to spend $60 on four trays of mangonadas, if that isn't a testament to the tasty treats offered, I don't know what is. My go-to order is either the fruit cup with cucumber and jicama and a limonada or a cup of lime and strawberry shave ice. The shave ice is absolutely fantastic and perfect for the summer months ahead. I'm not a fan of the standard raspa but (as I pointed out in a tip) instead of crushed ice with various syrups added, theirs is frozen fruit ground superfine with ice for an extra fruity frozen treat. There's nothing especially fancy about Regios, it's a small hole in the wall with cramped parking but everything offered is as fresh as it gets, the prices are great, and the employees are kind. It gets pretty packed in the weekends but it is super worth the wait."
"I ordered an Elote Loko with Hot Cheetos and it was absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend it, it's such a hole in the wall type of place."
"Even though the weather is cooling down, a shaved ice is always a nice treat. I came here around 6:30 on a Wednesday and there was basically no wait. I ordered the mangonilla and it tasted just like an actual mango fruit and there were little mango pieces on top as well. The consistency of the ice was literally like fresh snow. It was creamy and smooth at the start and became more and more clumpy and snow like as I ate it. The best spoonful is when you have the perfect ratio of ice to the condensed milk ratio with a couple pieces of actual mango. Definitely will be back to try the other flavors!"
"Everything fresh made to order. Generous portions. Clean establishment. A variety of selections to choose from. You'll find a treat to your liking for sure."
"BEST CANDIED GRAPES EVER!Customer service was great especially since we walked in right before closing. So pleasant and excited to take our order. Looks like a great lil hang out for small families. The grapes are a lil pricey but taste soooooo goooood! I crave them on a daily! The nachos are good and crispy. I will be returning to taste more of their menu."
"This place is always so much fun. They pour the cereal and toppings (.50 each) and not messy at all either. A lot of parking, paid $14 for three popcicles. It's really nice enjoying small businesses in my area as well"
"Cheat day was a total success due to this place ! ! Was driving by and literally did a U-turn to go back and satisfy my sweet tooth. We parked, got out and ordered. The guy working the window let us know we could get back in our car and get in the drive thru line to wait for our treats since it was STUPID cold outside. How awesome is that ?! That made our visit even better. I got a funnel cake and a coconut blue shaved ice. Both were the tastiest thing I have had in a long time. The guy brought our food out to us from the back door so we could cut around the car in front of us and leave. Best customer service evvveerrrr ! ! I regretted and loved every second of this meal."
"If you are looking for junky snacks, this is perfect for a junk food junky. Huge variety of items for purchase. I went with a chili dog. Was hoping for a fruit cup but they were out. Great outdoor seating and the server was attentive and apologetic. I'll be back!"
"Are they quick? No. Do they offer a bunch of amazing Mexican treats from mangonadas, snowcones, pickledillys, special candies, fresh fruit, aguas frescas and tons of treats? YES. While we were eating next door at La Unica, I kept seeing people walk by with the most amazing treats! Our server said to go next door for dessert and we did. Watermelon aguas frescas did not disappoint. Mangonada dilly with pickles, chamoy and gummy bears was insane. And a friend had the Bionico which was fresh fruit and cream. There is an outside are but also a small air conditioned area too. We will be back. I need a good snow one."
"Customer service was top notch and gladly answered any questions I had. Coffee tastes great milk/syrup ratios are perf. Check it out!"
"Place just opened and great friendly service and delicious treats! We had the banana split, guava lechera raspado and strawberry sunday. They were all really great portions and the price was good too. Definitely recommend this spot!"
"We were in search of shaved ice/snowcone to cool us off on a hot day and found Frostbites on the search. I hadn't looked too much at the reviews and didn't realize that it was a food truck. Google maps initially directed us to the plaza area where the stores were instead of the parking area where the food truck was.The New Orleans style intrigued me and they were so nice to provide us with samples of the shaved ice and different flavors. Pillowy soft ice for sure and very reasonable prices! My husband and I both had the Cajun sizes though after I got started, it felt like a lot for me. I had the Blueberry and Pina Colada combo. I think the Blueberry took over the Pina Colada taste and color in my cup. That's the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. My husband had the Root Beer and Strawberry and enjoyed his. Strawberry is one of their more popular flavors.Until I looked at the reviews, I didn't realize that this food truck has been around for several years already!Definitely a great one to remember for more hot summer days!"
"Great little place, a little out of my way, sad to say I hadn't discovered this little gem since it's been in business for nearly 10 years. Waitress was very attentive in a caring, not overburdensome way. I asked for Wifi and she worked with me a few times to get the password without much luck. I'm sure they'll have it figured out soon. Super kind and caring people, great pho, I highly recommend!"
"The shakes were differently good. By that, they tasted more of chocolate flavor than chocolate ice cream. In my case, it was well received. I got the 16 oz shake which was the SMALL (don't forget, everything is bigger in Texas). I'd probably drop in there again when in town. You should too.It did take almost 15 minutes to get our shake. I hope that was just because of sparse help."
"I love this place! Prices are adorable and the place is very clean. Everyone working there is very friendly too. I've been several times already. It's my fave spot for a mangonada!"
