"hubbie had tried ilsong garden & wanted to take me.we both enjoy korean bbq & have tried several places around town.we were a bit confused about the grill tables. apparently they are only available for all you can eat. some places let you order portions of meat & let you grill it.deciding we werent hungry enough for AYCE ($38), hubbie ordered hot stone pot bibimbap ($15) and i got the beef bulgogi ($24). we started with steamed yaki mandu ($8)- they also offer it deep fried or pan fried. they were very good, and i enjoyed them steamed as we usually get pan fried.muchim is almost more important to me than the meat! i love the radishes & cucumbers the most, followed by potatoes.i liked that the veggies are served as all you care to eat salad bar style. i like some radish or cucumber with each bite of bulgogi. so it was nice to serve myself.hubbie declared his meal delicious and mine was flavorful & tender. portions were very generous, im pretty sure myleftover bulgogi will feed us both! it was 7:00 on a sunday, so not too many people there, but service was fast & friendly.i did notice lunch specials were available during the week."

The pad Thai (child's portion shown) fresh and hot, really tasty. The Thai dish pad pak was great also; heat options were medium, hot, or Thai hot. I chose medium, and it had a nice spice that enhanced the flavor. A large portion of freshly cooked veg and meat. A small restaurant, but busy enough when we were there. Also a steady stream of to go and DoorDash orders going out, but we still got our plates within 15 minutes. Very helpful staff, nice clean place, reasonably priced. Now we want to go back to try the Chinese dishes they offer. Highly recommend!"

"Wow, just wow! I visited Yoshiya's because the menu and pictures reminded me of a chain in SoCal called 'Yoshinoya's'. When I mentioned this to the owner, he said, "You can think of us as Yoshinoya's, only upgraded. And he was right!Yoshiya's is in a strip mall, there's plenty of parking. The place is small, with about 3-4 tables and bench+table seating for a dozen more against a wall. However it's very clean and I like the anime decorations! The J-pop or K-pop's played overhead is a little annoying but it does match the atmosphere.Service was fast and friendly, and DANG the food was good. Get the beef bowl with green onion and pickled ginger, you won't be disappointed. "Hidden gem!! My mom actually discovered this little restaurant during a visit in the HEB plaza down the street from our home! It's nestled between the UPS Store and an alterations shop and has dark curtains/blacked out windows that don't allow you to see it. So you see why it's literally hidden, haha. At any rate, don't judge a book - or restaurant in this case - by its cover!! The food is DELICIOUS!! We've gotten the veggie, chicken, and combo (beef, chicken and shrimp) fried rice, miso soup, edamame (steamed and garlic), teriyaki beef bento meal, California roll, shrimp tempura roll, and chicken teriyaki meal and they were ALL fresh, flavorful and plentiful! I didn't give it a 5-star rating just because I've had better sushi rolls, but we will absolutely be coming back again and again! Highly recommend for some fresh & tasty Japanese food :) We got take out, but will have to come back for dining in the neighborhood hidden gem ;)"

"I'm going to go ahead & give this place the 5 stars that it deserves! Even though upon dining here for the first time, there was an issue with us getting our food in a timely manner. We live fairly close to & every time we have driven by, the parking lot is usually packed. We were intrigued. So, we decided to give it a shot on a Monday night, around 6 PM. We figured it shouldn't be too bad. Wrong! We got there & the parking lot was packed! Upon entering, the waiting area was packed & it's not really much of a waiting area. Just for reference, it is a former IHOP, so you get the idea. Anyway, you stroll up to the host station & there is a QR code that you have to scan for the waitlist & there is also one for the menu right next to it. We were 9th on the list & it seemed to move at a decent pace & we waited 36 minutes to be seated.We were greeted by our server Isaiah, who asked if this was our first time; to which we replied yes. He then took us on a little tour on the way to our table, which included a trip past the Thai/Milk tea/Boba station & then on past the show kitchen, where there were a little Auntie & Uncle making dumpling & hand stretching noodles. It was really cool & I appreciated that touch. I was even more excited to try the food after that!We were seated in a booth, which I prefer. Unfortunately, they were only able to provide one menu at the time, so I had to look on my phone, but I had perused the menu earlier in the day & pretty much had an idea of what I wanted to order already. During our tour, Isaiah made mention that the dumplings took about 15 minutes to prepare, which is also stated in their menu, so they are setting the expectation. So, we knew that we wanted to try the Colorful Combo Dumplings first, which we ordered pan fried. So, Isaiah went to put that in first. Upon his return, we ordered Beef Broccoli, Fried Noods w/Chicken, Fried Rice w/Chicken & Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumpling), which came in an oder of 6 - 3 Chicken & 3 Pork.Sadly, this is where it took a turn. 15 minutes came & went & no dumplings. We watched the near empty area that we had been seated, fill up with people that had obviously been seated after us & delicious looking plates come out to those other parties. But where was our food? Where, Isaiah? We had been there about an hour before he came back to let us know that he wasn't sure what happened with our order & he assured us that they were now working on it & apologized & would see what he could do for the inconvenience & stepped away & suddenly returned to let us know that he would be taking 20% off the check. We said that would be fine.Finally the food came out, one dish after the next & I almost didn't let my camera eat first, I was so hungry! However, I managed to compose myself long enough to get photos, with the exception of the Chicken Fried Rice. I mean, we all know what Chicken Fried Rice looks like, right?As I was saying; the food. Let me tell you. As inconvenient as the wait was, it was worth it. The quality & the flavor of the dumplings were tip-top! At that moment, I had wished that I was blessed with the stomach of a cow, because I promise that my Rumen, Reticulum, Omasum & Abomasum would have been overflowing with ALL the dumplings! Also, the Noods were AMAZING! They certainly live up to their name. Sadly, the Beef Broccoli didn't really have great flavor. However, it was filled with decent quality meat & really fresh & plentiful pieces of broccoli. Oh, did I mention the Chicken Fried Rice? No need.Well, that is my story. I am so glad that I live so close, because in the future, I may just do online orders, rather than dining in. Because, I will be coming back for more!! One last note. Isaiah was awesome & the staff there is super friendly!"

I would think this place gets very packed and busy on weekends. So it might be best to come in on weekdays when it might be less crowded, and you can be seated right away. There is generally plenty of parking since this restaurant is located in an outdoor mall with plenty of parking spaces. A favorite Thai dish for me is basil stir fry. When I saw it on the menu I decided to try it with shrimp. I was really glad I did. Fantastic dish! Pad Thai is great too. The restaurant is small and appears very clean. Service is good but not exceptional. For those looking for some great Thai food I'd recommend you give it a shot. Don't think you'd be disappointed."
