Toni V. "Came here based on Yelp rating. Very disappointed in the food. I had lunch special of red beans and rice with sausage and two small round cornbread muffins with lemonade. Husband had shrimp and fried catfish, green beans, french fries and 2 small cornbread muffins with a big red. It cost us $41 with the tipGood things first: Atmosphere/decor is spot on. Am told on Sundays they have a buffet and live Jazz and Soul Music. The waitress was amazing. She spoke clearly, was charming and did not keep us waiting.Next the not so good. The beans and rice w/sausage was bland! The green beans had bacon in them, but still tasted like canned green beans. The cornbread muffins taste like Martha White mix (not bad, but not what you would expect from such a reputed place) the fried shrimp and catfish were ok; Crispy and not oily. I won't say I will not come back, but if I do will try something different next time."

The drink was delicious, with a great coconut flavor. It was cold, refreshing, and I drank it down pretty quickly. We did order fried pickles and chips and salsa as well to share. I really liked the salsa. It was a little chunky, with a medium heat. Fried pickles were great too. Waitress was nice. It was a nice end to our day at the River Walk"

Every time I go on my annual boys trip with the same guys for almost 10 years now, we always go to a Margaritaville. Well, I did a majority of the trip planning this time, so I decided to get this out of the way and have this be the first stop we go to right after we landed to start our trip. There's nothing really to run home about. It just gets the job done. It's right on the river walk, but we opted to sit inside as it was way too hot during the day. Service is pretty good and the food is good enough to fill you up.

Nice big burgers that don't skimp on the toppings or the taste.An unintended trip led me back to Sam's Burger Joint after a long hiatus. It was a good experience, as much as it was in the past. I love their bean burger, but this time I went with the guacamole Jack Burger. It came loaded with lots of guac' and a huge piece of cheese that pretty much wrapped the burger. I always love their sweet potato fries, but they also have tater tots, regular fries, and fried pickles. Next time I will re-investigate their fried pickles.I got street parking for a quarter (yep, 25¢) for the hour.They have a small bar, but I was in uniform and decided to quench my thirst in bottomless Texas sweet tea, that I transitioned to an Arni Palmer on our way out. If I had the opportunity, I would certainly return to hang out for the live music entertainment that Sam's is known for.I'm glad I got a chance to revisit Sam's. It's a good place for fun and a good burger.

Really depends when you decide to visit this facility. We planned and looked forward to attending the Drag Brunch! Which by far was not a drag! If you like a good show, (by far this is one of the best) suggest you make reservations in advance. Yes, I have seen plenty of shows even at the Paradise in South Beach. Yes, Picks sells out & reservations come with a fee. The bar is casual, open doors, so there is fresh air. Music is loud, and after a few drinks you start to pop too! I will say the service is here probably one of the best! Rebecca goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. Alayna Marquez, girl, you are amazing! I could watch her emcee anything! Alayna is fun, witty & sexy! Food meh. Probably better off eating else where. I get it the bar has to make money. However the food was less than mediocre. However if you focus on the entertainment and the service, not a bad deal! San Antonio come out and support your local entertainers. Bring your tip money, for staff and entertainment!Now on to the details. Drinks were good, a wide variety of opinions. Drinks overall were decent.

Amanda B. "This is the perfect Sunday Funday place!!!! The vibe, live music, decor and staff are all FIVE STARS!!! The Happy Hour is the best around and $18 Margarita Pitchers is such an amazing price! Cute photo ops all over the bar and the outside patio is perfect for a fall sunny day. Small intimate areas to catch up with the girls or to catch the game outside on one of the many TV's!I have not been to the Drag Show on Sunday yet but I've heard that it was such a fun time so it is definitely on my list of things to do! I've been Friday evening for HH right after work hours and at around 8/9pmish the vibe definitely started to change as the live music moved out and the DJ started playing and people were definitely dressed to impress. Cute drinks that all seem handcrafted! I will definitely be returning here!"
