"Wow! Everything was flavorful and fresh! We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day. Must have the carne asada nacho fries and the elote bowl with fish."
"Great breakfast spot! Will come back for lunch! They close at 3 on Saturday. This was our first visit not sure on the rest of their hours. See if was great!"
"I was driving home when I saw this food truck and decided to stop by and check it out! Talked to the owner, Daniel and he mentioned that he just opened a day ago. We ended up ordering some filled fried plantain and man, it sure wasn't disappointing! The place is new and just opened so there is not a big area to seat but they do have a few chairs to sit and eat!"
"Located inside the new Intercontinental Hotel, this bar located on the third floor is gorgeously decorated with plenty of comfortable seating area inside as well as two rooftop patio areas (no heated lamps when we went this past Saturday). Their menu as of now is limited, so we just got a beer and truffle fries. Truffle fries were crispy on outside and fluffy on inside, but not worth the $16 price tag (I think more reasonable would be between $8-10). Our server was super attentive to us and appreciated the DJ who played mainly pop and hip hop at a good volume where you could enjoy the music but not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Prices were a little on higher side, which I do think is a con. It is a newer bar - we went on a Saturday night at 9:30 pm and it was only my husband and I for awhile until 10:30 pm when a group of 9 people came in I think after they were at a wedding. Parking wise they do validate your parking for an hour! So that's a plus. I think if you're looking for some pre or post dinner drinks, the ambiance alone is worth the visit but wouldn't recommend buying more than one drink/dish as the quality is not worth the price tag."
"The best Argentinian food I've had outside Argentina! Everything was on point. The chimichurri was amazing. Choripan brought back childhood memories of late nights around the grill with the neighbors. Empanadas were just like my mom's. If you want legit authentic Argentinian food, I don't think you can do better than Dorrego's."
"Small pop up tucked into the back corner of a convenience with tremendous taste and friendly service.I'm glad to have found this store and that it's finally up and running. The owner operator, Shonda, gave this dream a second chance when she moved it from her We tried a couple of things and we're pleased with the product. It's simple and humble but the entrees were generous and delicious. I tried the bistec encebollada, the think steak was flavorful and cooked just right. It was covered with grilled onions and peppers and served over a generous helping of arroz con guandupes. The entree also came with a side of tostones. It was really good.Liz got a small portion of the ceviche, which she really enjoyed. The kids enjoyed a helping of arroz con pollo. And there was plenty leftover to feed all of us the next day.Keep in mind that the pop up is set in the back of a convenience store, so there's not much seating, and only the parking around the gas station and the surrounding areas (Toyota Field, Morgan's Wonderland, etc). Plan for pre order and take out for expectations sake. I'm sure Shonda will get better the longer she goes at it, but for now it's just her and her fabulous food.We recommended some ideas to get the post game crowd to get some quick to go snacks (like a Panamanian tamale, tostones, etc.)Next time I will try the ropa viejas, Panamanian tamale, or the chicharron...there's plenty to try, actually. We'll be back."
"Bilia Eatery is a true San Antonio gem and one of my favorite lunch spots in the city! This amazing restaurant specializes in a wide variety of breakfast and lunch dishes inspired by wide variety of latin american countries. Everything is fresh and made to order, and they also have seasonal dishes that are a must! I think their best seller and my favorite dish is their cuban sandwich. It is absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! If you are not in the mood of a sandwich then I recommend their steak salad. It is the best steak salad you can find in the city and the flavors of the meat they use are insane! If you are planning to visit them during a weekday try to get here before or after the lunch rush. They do tend to get pretty busy, but they do their best to get all dishes out as quickly as possible. They also have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which I am sure will be pretty nice in the fall. Overall, this place is 10/10 in my book and I hope everyone gives them a chance!"
"If you are into Caribbean food., You don't want to let this truck roll by.My job is lucky enough to secure food trucks to raise the employee morale, and boy did it :)Aside from just another option, El Jibarazo (on the go) is delicious food with better than average servings.Friendly and quick service. If there's something you like, these guys are flexible. Great rice, not overdone, not too salty. Flavor and consistency was very good...and that's the staple! The rice allows you to enjoy the rest of the food. In my case, it paired well with my torta.Happy to try out their other meals. Looking forward to their tripleta."
"Wow I can't believe I've never been here. I don't live far either. I came across it online. Saw the menu and was blown away. Asian and Latin mix? What a beautiful combo. My husband is half Puerto Rican and when we saw Puerto Rican dishes on the menu we knew it was a must try. Threw me off that it was inside of a gas station but it's definitely a hidden gem. Everything was so tasty and the portions are hefty. We bought 2 orders of tostones thinking one wouldn't be enough but one order is definitely enough they are Huge. I make mine crispier but they were still good. The chicken and teriyaki with fried rice was so fulfilling. Again bigger than expected. The plantains were delightful and those Latin wontons...amazing. This place was a hit with the family. Will be a returning customer :)"

Impeccably fresh fish; steamy, creamy refried beans; a crisp veggie and salsa bar; and friendly, helpful employees add up to a wonderful experience. I actually look forward to my medical center visits because I know where I'll be having lunch.

I came for breakfast tacos, went through the drive through and the service is very fast. I've noticed that their chilaquiles is a bit different than what I've had in other places as theirs does not have eggs in it. It's just chips and salsa lol it took me by surprise last time. The migas does have pico scrambled eggs and cheese, but no salsa, it is tasty! The breakfast tacos are reasonably priced and a good portion. I've also gotten it at a couple of different locations and they are pretty consistent, I recommend the drive through! Have not dined in so cannot comment on that.

Delicious food and drinks. The vibe is elevated and they have indoor or outdoor dining options. The breeze on the patio is nice to make it enjoyable year around.

We can't for Easter brunch and they had a pretty standard water brunch buffet setup. I think compared to other Easter brunches the cost was comparable. There was a carving station, made to order omelets & waffles, salads, charcuterie, and entrees. Everything was good but nothing was a huge stand out. To me the best items were the red velvet waffles, mashed potatoes, and almond cake. I liked that the champagne and mimosas were included in the cost but I wish our server was a bit more attentive. Overall the staff was nice and the hotel is gorgeous. At check in for the restaurant there are glass oranges signed by famous people which is pretty cool. I really want to give this place a shot during normal dining services. It also looked like they had a great outdoor area overlooking the Riverwalk.

It was exciting to find a Panamanian restaurant in the city. Tucked inside a gas station this place is a great find, particularly before or after an SAFC soccer game! I had the ceviche and it was delicious!! The kids had chicken fried rice. The servings were very generous so plenty to share. The owner was great and kept us posted on our order.

I am embarrassed at how long it took me to try Bilia, seeing as how I live so close. It is such a cute place, modern with accents of traditional Mexican decor. It reminds me of one the quaint little brunch places in Mexico City. Walk in to place an order at the counter, the guy there was super nice and helpful with answering questions I had about the menu. There are laminated menus there for you to grab and study if you need to. I went with the barbacoa grilled cheese which comes with a side of fries. My husband ordered the Peruvian chicken. We went outside to grab a table since it was such a nice day. It didn't take long before someone was out with our food. First off, that barbacoa grilled cheese STILL haunts my dreams weeks later! It was so flavorful without being overwhelming. I ate slowly because I didn't want it to end. The fries were excellent too. I just got the regular ones, not the yucca. I've noticed that in other restaurants, when fries come as a side, they're kind of phoned in and taste a bit bland or plain. These were seasoned with, I don't know what, but they were so good! There was not a single crumb left on my plate. My husband really enjoyed his Peruvian grilled chicken as well. Though I can't even speak for it because we were both so immersed in our own meals that we didn't get to taste each other's dishes as we usually do. It looked amazing and fresh! We will definitely return!!

"Food was cooked right. Good portions. Filling.Fresh ingredients.Definitely coming back again."
"Best happy hour specials on the Riverwalk! 5.00 ritas, bloody mary's, micheladas. Can't beat the specials or the atmosphere. Great music too."
"The ceviche was amazing! So fresh and a large portion. I'm only giving this place a 4 because the lime margarita was undrinkable. It taste like bad sour mix so I ordered water. The music is loud, so be ready for it."
"Great Taquitos and great people who work here. Gabe has built a wonderful restaurant with fresh authentic Mexican food and hand made tortillas. I recommend the corn tortillas!"
"This is a really cute restaurant on the property of La Cantera Resort. This seemed like the most casual of the options, so we ate here on the first night after a day of traveling. It's big and there are lots of TVs, but they were intrusive on our dining experience. My mom and I shared the nachos with picadillo, the taco salad and the ceviche. Everything was really delicious, but the nachos were my fave! Or actually, the chips that came with the ceviche were my fave- they were puffier! Our server was super sweet and friendly, although the poor guy was definitely overworked- I think there were just two servers in the entire dining room! Not his fault, but the management should do something about that. All in all, I highly recommend!"
"Delicious food and drinks from several Latin American countries. My meal of Beef Skirt, Spanish Rice, Red Beans, Sweet Plantains and Banana soda was delicious but, the serving size was so generous that I was fully stuffed before I could finish my meal (and my wife wound up finishing it for me)! It was delicious, the staff was friendly and informative in describing the dishes that we weren't familiar with. The meals that we got for my wife and daughter will have to be finished later, probably tomorrow. We'll definitely be returning there again for more meals.A truly enjoyable dining experience (although there was plenty of outdoor seating, we chose to get our meals as takeout orders)."
"Food was delicious. My husband brought me here, as he has ate here with a few of his co-workers for lunch, and wanted to bring me here to try the food. This is my first time coming here, and definitely won't be the last. As mentioned the food was delicious. We came on a Friday during lunch time, and you have the option to either order through a set menu, or eat whatever is served at the buffet, which is $12.99 for all you can eat. Both my husband and I opted for the buffet, and I'm glad we did. I got the seafood rice, Puerto Rican rice, beans, fried tilapia, and fried sweet plantains, which were all delicious. My husband got the same and some other pork options they had, and he enjoyed them all. The only thing we ordered from the menu were the empanadillas (2 chicken and 1 beef) and tostones, which came with a green sauce. Both were good, however I wasn't a fan of the green oil sauce that came with the tostones, so we ate the tostones by itself, which was still good. *Note that the food being served at the buffet changes every week -- this is what I was told by the gentleman at the register.Ambiance was good. Service was great! Very welcoming and friendly. Parking is a little tight, which was the only downside, but nonetheless, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try."
"The ambiance was nice overlooking the River but the view is best because of the trees and foliage surrounding it.The service was a little slow but the food arrived hot. I did not like the sopas. They tasted like they were cooked in old oil and they were hard to eat. I ordered spinach salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was a little dry but the salad was fine."
"I didn't snap a picture b/c I attacked the food. The chips and salsa are delicious. Sweet tea was yummy! Chicken puffy taco plate was great! Restaurant is clean inside. It's a hidden gem for sure. I never expected to see it when I did!"
"Nice hotel and the scent as you enter is intoxicating. I went early afternoon on a Sunday and no wait time for the bar area. I sat inside next to the bar. It was too hot to be outside even with fans on. Their happy hour drink menu is quite good. Their la villita margarita was superb. I had their burrata and it was fantastic and original with their red chili glaze. I would definitely come back for it. Their grilled chicken club was ok. Bacon was thick and tough and their chicken was chewy. It was overcooked. I would try other menu items next time I'm back."
"I was here for a work conference and all I had been having was heavy steak, burgers, and meat tacos for days, so I was craving something lighter and leafier. Azuca Nuevo Latino seemed like it had a good selection of seafood fare, so I dropped by on an unassuming Friday night. It was surprisingly not bustling, but every table was filled. I liked that it had an open-kitchen concept so that you could see the food being prepared right in front of you -- seeing hanging paella pans is always comforting.Because I wanted lighter, I went with two smaller plates instead of a heavier main with fish -- I opted for the spinach, strawberry, goat cheese salad and the ceviche appetizers. Both combined were definitely more than enough for one person. The salad was exactly what I needed -- everything was fresh and light, and the fiber was really doing its job pushing away all of that meat in my body. The ceviche was nice and light, and that citrus really did help cut away the heavyness that I had been feeling for the past few days. As for drinks, their specialty seemed to be mojitos, so I went with the passion fruit variety which was perfectly made. All in all, a positive experience. I would like to come back and try one of their main fish plates, as they all sounded good, but for now, the lighter fare was perfect for what I needed."
"I visited here with my colleague since it was very close to my hotel on a recent business trip. This restaurant also has the best reviews in the area. My colleague wasn't super thrilled about eating chicken so he ordered the diced sirloin with bacon as his meat. Surprisingly, this was one of his favorite restaurants during our entire trip. For 1 person, the half chicken is around 11 with beans and you get tons of food you can make into tacos. The chicken is well seasoned, not dry, and partially cut up for you already. Overall, a great deal! The beans are really good, as is their famous green sauce which goes well on pretty much everything you'll order. My colleague loved his meal and said the bacon made it just that much better.Service is fast and excellent here as they have several employees to stop by and check on your table.I would definitely return if I am ever in the area again."
"What a great breakfast taco meal in downtown SA. Try Mi Casa if you're a chorizo fan. The tacos were delicious with homemade tortillas and a moist chorizo with egg taco. The plate came with spicy potatoes, chips n salsa, with a side of bacon. The green salsa is very hot and one of the best green salsas I have tried. The entire staff were friendly, responsive, and the food is prepared fresh in minutes. You can order take out from the front register or have a nice meal inside. Plenty of large tables for families seating if you're dining inside. Mi Casa is located in a downtown strip mall and definitely worth the time and drive if you're in SA and hungry for a breakfast taco."
