"Smaller place but great ambiance. If you want somewhere quiet yet with great staff to cater fully to you this is the place. Pro tip: Order a bottle of wine and share. A meal is best with a bottle you can bond over. I like and recommend their Malbecs and Pinot Noirs from the California region. Appetizers are all top notch. I can't help but repeatedly order the Antipasto- adult charcuterie board for those not in the know ;) so many meats, cheeses, honey, fruits, olives and crostinis. I'm typically a fan or the chicken or eggplant parm. The special this week is scallops over fettuccine with a mushroom sauce. Can I get a chefs kiss? Seriously though, this place is the real deal. I've never had a bad meal. The menu is yours to conquer.Don't forget a nice tiramisu or crème brûlée for dessert"
"Came to San Antonio for the weekend and both of my sisters have previously come to Dough when they visited. It's all they still talk about if you mention San Antonio at all.We came for lunch and were immediately seated. The entire staff was super sweet and our waitress, Lily went above and beyond with everything. The inside was super cute and smelled amazing. We shared the cupped pepperoni pizza and got two small salads to start. The salads were delicious and the pizza was soft, gooey and had so many toppings! I can totally see why my sisters have never stopped talking about this place :)"

"2025 Update: This place is going strong! Try the bubble waffle! The biscoff flavor is a new fav. Lots of dairy free options too!Update: try the afogato flight! You'll receive 3 hot drinks (espresso, hot chocolate, or matcha) and a gelato flavor for each! It's a tastebud delight...literally heaven in your mouth! So many choices you'll wanna visit every day!First time here and definitely not the last! Macaroon ice cream sandwiches and gelato truffles greet you when you first walk in. There are at least 30 gelato flavors with at least 8 dairy free flavors, and sugar free/fat free options available as well. Taro root was my absolute favorite! Although there was a line the staff advised us to choose as many samples to pick from! They were constantly smiling and offering flavor combos and cups, toppings, you name it. Honestly the best customer service I've had in a long time. I ordered the bubble waffle in a bowl (also available in a cone style wrap) with taro and pistachio gelatos. Perfect for an afternoon pick me up or dessert date. They offer multiple drink options including house made coffee, waters, sparkling sober beverages. Will be coming here soon...maybe even tomorrow!!"
"Love this place & need to come back! I met up with some friends here on a weekday and we had a fantastic time. The pizza is great- classic thin crust and made fresh. They have plenty of beer and wine to choose from as well as canned beverages that are mostly Texas brews. It can be a difficult area to park, and I'd imagine it would be especially bad on a weekend. The seating is great for large groups because there's a lot of bench style seating. The outdoor patio was also really nice and kept us comfortable."
"Great happy hour prices! Service was very attentive. It was nice to be followed up by two managers about our experience, but not overwhelming. We have been here before and the sandwiches are excellent and easily shareable! Get the meatball or Italian sandwich. You won't be disappointed. Lots of TVs. Good place to watch a game."
"Little Italy is definitely the best Italian restaurant in San Antonio. The ministroni soup is the best I have ever had. The red gravy is very good as is everything I have ever eaten there."
"I was interested to see if there any more Restaurant Week places we could check out and the menu for @luceristorante piqued my interest. Hubby agreed when he took a look as well. I made reservations through Open Table for dinner tonight. We found out that the prix fixe menu is part of their regular offering. Included is a glass of sparkling wine, pinot noir or chardonnay. Hubby and I both chose pinot noir and it's really smooth. Dad and I shared the Ravioli al Quattro Formaggi/Cheese Ravioli, and Pan-Seared Sea Bass, Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto. Hubby had the Gamberi al Limone/Sauteed Shrimp, and Linguine Mare Chiaro/Pasta with seafood. We all shared the Creme Brulee and Tiramisu. The portions are pretty generous that hubby wasn't able to finish his pasta dish. It was a pleasure meeting owner and chef Joe Buonincontri. He's been blessed with running @luceristorante for 18 years! I'm looking forward to warmer weather and sitting in their outdoor patio. We were noticing that several tables ordered their pizza so we might try that the next time.If you haven't tried @luceristorante, add it to your list to check out!"
"We really enjoyed our delicious brunch off the Culinaria Week menu. We started with huge cups of coffee and banana coffee cake. This alone was enough for breakfast. So good! Our server asked if he could take the leftover cake. No way. Those few bites are going home with me for later! Next, my husband had breakfast carbonara pasta (w/the over-medium egg on the side) and I had Breakfast Rosa pizza (w/the over-medium egg on the side). Both were flavorful and unique. We were pretty full though so we have lots of leftovers. It's a three-course meal, so we chose the Italian doughnuts to go. I snuck a bite and yum! The ambience is beautiful and the service -- perfect! Santiago was friendly and attentive. And he also took our compliments in stride. He looks and sounds like he could be a model or actor and we told him so"
"My husband and I have been to Paesanos several times, but we recently went to check out happy hour. We especially appreciated that all of the drinks are made with fresh ingredients and house made syrups. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed talking with the friendly bartender, Claire. The bar area is small, but cozy. It's a great spot for happy hour appetizers and drinks."
"This was a last minute pick for pizza on a day off. We ordered with ease. Got our food quickly. The Caprese salad was savory and encompassed so many flavors that paired with each other famously. The Greek pizza oozed with cheese. The crust was crisp and held the amazing and flavorful toppings (grilled chicken, spinach, fresh tomatoes, and artichokes) excellently.Poppy's gave me that classic 90s pizza vibe. Definitely will be back to try some of the pasta."
"Paesanos is one of my favorite places to eat at in SA. This location offers lots of seating. With a n option to be seated indoors, outdoors or in between in what I like to call the sun room. The sourdough bread and hummus are one of my many things which Jew me coming back. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but my Persia l favorites are the chicken Parmesan and shrimp paesano. The servers are super helpful when it comes to ordering and also come by frequently for refills. I always leave here satisfied."
"My husband had had lunch in this tiny little restaurant with coworkers a few weeks back. So on our Friday night date night that's where we headed. We didn't have reservations ( they do recommend) but we happen to get there at just the right time when there were only two tables occupied. We were sat down rather quickly and put our order in. We ordered the garlic cheese bread for the appetizer and it was just enough for two people. I tried their chicken francese and my husband ordered the salmon Florentino. Both plates came wonderfully presented. I was pleased that there wasn't so much food as to take home although I know Italians love to feed people! My husband and I will definitely be back and we'll make sure that we have reservations; the restaurant got full rather quickly which isn't hard because I believe there are only about 10-12 tables total."

Let me preface this by saying everything on this menu is delicious. The one food that stood out to me here (not pictured) is the chicken Parmesan. Olive Garden could never ...... this one supersedes it! I asked for the chicken parm to have a littleSpice and they did a perfect job at doing this for me. This is another little hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center off bandera but totally worth the stop. Both times I have receive phenomenal service. Yelpers be sure to check in here!

Great service and awesome staff! Outgoing and lively vibes indoor ~Pizza was delicious! But extremely pricey. Got their classic Americana pizza - 12 inch. Did have a good amount of toppings but $25 for a personal size plus tax came over $27 dollar for this ONE item...As delicious as it was, definitely not almost $30 worth 7/10 perhaps may come back to try a different item ~

Very nice gelateria in Quarry Crossing.Plenty of space, great service, and plenty of options. Between gelato, spaghetti ice cream, cookies, etc. you couldn't go wrong with this place.I enjoyed a regular sized tarot root gelato. It's a good size, but they have a larger size available if you want more.Noah went back for a chocolate chio cookie after his mango sorbet cone.Plenty of tables and lounging furniture to hangout, and enjoy just being out of the sun. However, they have a couple of small tables outside if you wish to suffer in the Texas heat.Parking can get tight, but if you can cross the street to the rear of the Quarry parking then you can totally enjoy the gelato.

We're visiting SA for 2 days and we wanted pizza for dinner tonight. A local friend suggested Il Forno - so here we are!It wasn't very busy at 6:15 pm this Thursday night. We ordered at the counter and took seats at the long table with bench-type seating. Our server (April) came by with table service. She was super sweet and returned to check on us often.Staff let me take pics of the wood fired pizza oven and a pizza with an egg in the center, fresh out of the oven. Our salads came out quickly and were fresh and tasty. Pizzas took about 10 to 15 minutes to come out. They were hot and tasty. I got a chance to speak with co-owner Jacob for a few minutes after dinner. He and his partners are very proud of what they've created at Il Forno. From making their own sausage and pizza dough, the locally sourcing as much ingredients as they can, there's a lot of intentionality and what their doing here that make great pizza and more. There's a Neapolitan style pizza place we go to in Goshen, Indiana. It's very good as well - but I'm placing Il Forno above it. Read their Mission Statement on the wall before you enter, then decide for yourself if they're meeting their mission. I believe they are. Thank you Il Forno for a great tasting meal with great service!

Confession...I've eaten at Parry's 4 times this week!! The first time I ordered delivery and it was GREAT! The wings were especially good and the reason for the following three visits! The other times I picked up from the restaurant because I wanted to see where it was (South Rim).During visit 2 I tried the meatball bake and it was the best meatballs I've ever had. So needless to say I've eaten wings, pizza, and meatballs all week! Oh and the White Ketchup (Ranch) should be bottled up and sold!! The service is great...the manager DK is especially nice and friendly!!I have not dined in the restaurant yet....but I plan on it! There is a nice outdoor seating area with several TV's and the atmosphere is just inviting for a fun time. Can't wait to dine in!!

I'd never actually heard of Luce before until a friend suggested we give it a try one evening and now I'm mad at myself for sleeping on this delicious gem located off of Huebner Rd. The property is spacious with a bar area, large dining room, and outdoor patio. Long story short, the space was very cute, service was AMAZING, and the food was soooooo good. For my starter I went with the cheese ravioli which was super tasty. My entree was the Costolette Brasate and YALL this thing was soooo good and came in a large enough portion I had plenty left for lunch the next day. The short rib was so tender and flavorful. I'm getting hungry for it just writing this review. To close out the meal I went with the Chocolate Lava Torta W/ Vanilla Gelato and a glass of Prosecco and it was another home run. My friend also loved everything he ordered and I have to agree that his dishes were delicious as well because I of course had to sample them! The caprese app, and lobster ravioli, and pistachio cannoli were also very, very good (although I may be biased but I do think my dishes were better). All in all, I don't think it's possible to go wrong with anything you find Luce serving up. Get here and get here fast yall!

The spicy rigatoni vodka pasta is everything! Sooooo good. The Italian donuts were great too (wasn't able to snag a photo of those). They reminded me of beignets.

"The pizza, the meat, and the pasta were so delicious. The ambience was beautiful and great service"
"Food was amazing! Very flavorful honestly on my list now! Service was good nice waiter very attentive and helpful with the recommendation! I got pasta and pizza so yummy!"
"Delicious, authentic Italian food in San Antonio, Texas! And obviously I'm one of the last people to know. When I got to La focaccia Italian Grill, the place was already filled with patrons. Everyone mid meal, sipping on red wine and enjoying their entrées. That was a huge reassurance for me. The wait staff was super helpful and nice. We were seated quickly. Inside they have booths and a wide open floor plan dining room. A gorgeous chandelier, right in the middle, setting the ambience of romance. It seems like a great place to go as a family and have a nice family style dining experience and also go for a romantic first date. I had the five layer lasagna and it was delicious. It was robust in flavor, cheesy and everything you would expect from a traditional lasagna. I also enjoyed their homemade in-house focaccia bread. I paired it with olive oil, seasonings and vinaigrette, and also sprinkled some Parmesan. At that point, I practically made my own little pizza. It was really good. my sister had the seafood stuffed cannoli and I didn't taste it but she seemed to enjoy it. The caesar salad was crispy and tossed and ample dressing. Very delicious. When I'm back in San Antonio, I would come back."
"My waitress was Audrey who I thought was a great host/waitress. The location and vibe here is really good. The food was hot and tasteful. The music needs some work (tell the owner let the music do its thing. Quit skipping tracks, let that thang go lol). But because of Audrey, 5 's. I will be back next for pizza. Thanks also for the military discount ( Vets, roll that into the tip, don't be that guy/girl lol)."
"The food was good! I liked the smoked Gouda polenta! Would totally come again. I was stuffed and cleared my plate since I was on vacation I didn't want to waste any of the food. It was in walking distance and had a view of the Riverwalk too."
"Ever since my bf and I discovered Albis we've gone about once a month since. It's always super consistent, but today we were supper impressed! As we were walking in, a party of 10 asked if there was room for them due to it being a Friday and them being busy. The workers put some tables together and were able to get them situated. Not long after we came in, there was a handful of people coming in after us to eat as well. Once the gentleman that was in front of us was seated we got our table not long after. While we were waiting to get seated we over heard that there were 2 separate parties for the night apart from the group of 10 eating tonight as well. We were a little hesitant on staying because we didn't know how long it would take for our food to get to us, but because we like them so much we decided to stay after all. Our waiter came to get our drink order and luckily we already knew what were going to order app / & entree wise so we put it in. We got the free bread about 5 minutes after getting seated, and then I was surprised that we got our appetizer 10 minutes after just barely sitting down. Once we hit the 20 minute mark at being at our table our food came out. Again we were pretty shocked with the rush, but we were super happy. Unfortunately my boyfriend ordered Fettuccine Alfredo without the chicken, but he didn't realize it until after we got our food. We flagged someone down luckily and said we were sorry and asked for chicken on the side. It took about 20 minutes for the chicken to come out, which again was our fault, but our server checked on us throughout the whole night. Gio was so attentive and great and he was apologetic (which he had no reason to be) even though we were the ones that messed up. In total were in and out within 45 minutes from getting there, to paying and leaving. So happy with the service and attentiveness tonight regardless of the crazy rush. Tonight just gave us another reason to keep going back."
"Black owned pizza restaurant located on the east side of San Antonio. Great seating located inside and outside for patrons to enjoy the meal. They have a nice open bar to order drinks. Food comes out on time, fresh and hot. Great music and vibes playing in the background. Definitely can watch all the different sports. They have TVs located inside and outside. Definitely centrally located on N. New Braunfels Ave. on the east side. Delicious pizza and great wings. You can't beat that."
"We love Sohill Cafe, best pizza ever! great cocktails and super beer selection. The atmosphere is comfortable and the customer service is excellent. highly recommend this neighborhood cafe!"
"Great Meat Lover's Pizza!Great Meat Lover's Pizza! My buddy and I ordered our pizza to go... We both were anxious, to try our new neighborhood pizza restaurant. Our excitement was met with one of the best tasting pizzas, we've had in quite some time! The meat lovers was absolutely delicious... I do prefer it cooked a little crispier, but I had already planned on warming it up so it came out perfect after 10 minutes in my oven. Next time I'll know to order to be cooked a bit longer. We decided to return a few days later, to try their Italian Panini, which is a sandwich with delicious homemade bread, it has Ham, Smoked Salami, Provolone, Pepperoni, lettuce, tomato, and onions with homemade Italian dressing.WOW, it was Awesome! They have an assortment of soft drinks in a self service dispenser. The atmosphere is nice and clean, with a television hanging on one of the walls. It wasn't on, but Joe was playing some great tunes to enhance your senses. There's also an outside seating, if you want to enjoy the great weather we're having. If you haven't been by, be sure to stop in and say hi to Joe, and be sure to try any of their pizzas or sandwiches...I'm hoping you'll like it, as much as we did! Buon Appetitogeorge"
"Upon entering, I thought this is such a cute little New York was pretty clean however employees could've been clean tables floor. I was greeted by the cashier young lady who was nice. She did have an AirPod AirPod in her ear which I thought that was a bit unprofessional and she came out from kitchen area wearing black gloves. She touched the registered took my cash money and went back into the back. That is a huge concern however I normally just pray over my food and hope for the best. I ordered the lunch special for about $11 got two large slices of pizza one with spinach and mushrooms the other with pepperoni and sausage! The pizza was delicious! Definitely NY style and I do recommend this place overall. To management I would recommend additional training in cross contamination, professionalism and find something for the workers to do besides on their phone. I also like the tea selection. The arcade games add a cute nostalgic vibe to the place."
"Perfect perfect place for some YUMMY and FRESH pasta. We sat at a high top table next to the bar, got waters and they gave us some fresh bread with seasoned olive oil while we looked at the menu. There was about 6 other occupied tables, and they had some games playing on the 3 TV's they have.I ordered the Linguini Prosciutto and had 2 glasses of white wine. The pasta was amazing, it was literally STEAMING, that's how fresh it was. They give a great amount, I ended up taking more than half of it home for leftovers. Our server seemed to be the manager for that evening I believe, either way he was so great and attentive!"
"The pizza rolls have a chokehold on me. The pasta is so delicious, portions are generous. There are so many options on the menu we're still trying things. But the pizza sauce keeps me going back. Don't skip dessert, even if you're full, take it to go it's so great! We usually get our order to go, because there isn't too much seats g, and it's usually very fast and friendly."
"Came here on a whim, and it honestly did not disappoint 10/10. The ambiance is very causal, and still gives a kid friendly vibe as well as adult vibe. So date night or family night can be done here. The parking was great plenty of room for your vroom vroom. The service was amazing, constantly being checked on and making sure we had everything we needed and never leaving our drinks empty. The food was amazing!! Every single bite was popping with flavors. Fresh, hot and big portions.Definitely recommend"
"This is our go-to spot if we haven't sorted out something for lunch or dinner. Time(s): Too many to narrow down.Vibes: It's a cute place, simple. Service: They take the order and that's pretty much it. They've always been friendly at checkout but that's the extent of the service as far as we know. Food: I like it because they have both gluten free crust and pasta. Is it the best gluten free some have had, maybe not BUT I think it's pretty darn good! My go-tos are gluten free pizza with ricotta and sausage, caprese salad, and gluten free Alfredo. Never disappointed at this location. Hubby gets whatever pizza is on his mind that day but normally cheese or sausage. Always gets an order of pizza rolls too which he loves! I will say THIS location is the BEST in our opinion. We have gone to another location and my pasta was so dry. They barely gave me any Alfredo sauce. We now only go to this location."
"Walk up window or delivery - we did walk up. DELICIOUS pizza (pepperoni and Hawaiian), very friendly staff, and a nice little seating area for the wait. Adding this place to my San Antonio shortlist for the next time I visit."
"This place is absolute gem. We are from NYC and know good Italian food. This place is it. Pizza, pasta, salad, calamari, apps, all excellent. They even make Greta martinis! Portions are huge, service is friendly and very accommodating. Something not on the menu? They'll make it for you if they have the ingredients. Run, don't walk. You won't be sorry."
"Excellent! The food was delicious and the service was great! Took my mom here for her birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back! While I was dining here I felt like I was a part of an exclusive group who knows about this restaurant. It was so good! Plus they had a meal, 2 for $40. Two entrees and a dessert for $40! Great deal and great meal! Perfect portions!"
"Gotta try the pizzaBut the best surprise is the pear carpaccio salad. Delish. The inability feels like the old Pharmacy/Bharmacy. Gotta eat local. Gotta try the chicken parm"
"We went on a very busy Friday evening. We've always wanted to try this place out bury never had the opportunity until now. When you walk into this restaurant, I felt as though I was transported to a small Italian restaurant nestled in Venice...it wasn't the decorations but possible just the building itself that reminded me of restaurants in Europe. Although the place only has window units, it wasn't as hot as the 100°+ heat outside and it was welcoming. Note to everyone: make reservations for Friday or Saturday evening as they are packed! We didn't know this and the lady asked if we wanted to sit outside and because it was nearly 110° outside we asked if we could sit inside. She stated they were completely booked but she will do what she can. There was a large group of 15 that had reservations and her and the owner, Luigi, made accommodations to fit my family of 4. You can tell the atmosphere was one where these people are regulars the way the owner interacted with them. The menu was extensive and had everything for everyone. They also gave you complimentary garlic bread that were beyond amazing! This can be a meal in itself! They came out piping hot and fresh! Beware, you can get full off of these alone! One is not enough! We ordered the following:1. Cheese pizza2. Chicken piccata 3. Chicken tetrazzini4. Spaghetti with meatballsAsk my daughter and the cheese pizza was two thumbs up, ask my husband and he said the pizza was really good! Great flavor, not too thick, not too thin for their liking. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was very good. The only criticism I have and it's a weird one, was that I thought there was too much chicken. Don't get me wrong, I like chicken but when it comes to pasta, I love pasta and the sauce much more! Next time I will ask for less chicken and more pasta. It was great. Not too buttery, capers gave it a punch, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. My husband had the tetrazzini and I will tell you I absolutely thought it was better than mine! I loved his more and it had such a great balance of flavors of peppers and artichoke and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I will probably order this next time! My son ate the spaghetti and meatballs and said it was the best spaghetti and meatballs he's ever had! He tore right into it and loved it, which is rare. The meatballs had great flavor, but the sauce reminded me of the chefboyree, which my husband loves so he loved it as well. Update: we are here again and did the meat sauce and it was soooo much better in my opinion. I ordered some Dessert and all were so good. The owner is incredibly nice and accommodating! The service was great as well! I love this hole in the wall! Love this place! Definitively Recommended!"
"The Alfredo pizza is my favorite! It does take some time for it to be prepared and cooked. Warms up well."
"Always nice wait staff and amazing food. There's always a comfortable feeling in this restaurant as you see lots of families and frequently firemen or policemen there to have lunch/dinner. My favorite is the Tuscan and I always get the full order and take it home so it becomes three meals usually - so when you look at it that way its not too pricey although for a family with four and ordering an appetizer we usually spend about $120 ish."
"If I could give them 10 stars I would! I ordered the Shrimp Milano. The starter salad was delicious! The dressing was divine. Our server was awesome! Great service. Our entree was perfect. The best part was that I stayed chatting with our family friend for an extra hour and they didn't boot us. We lost track of time! Thank you for your excellent food and service. Perfect for conversation. I want to come back and try the Chicken Picatta!"
"The Italian subs and the combo sandwiches here are amazing! Fresh bread, lots of meats, beautiful lettuce, tomatoes and the Italian dressing tops it off perfectly. We always get them toasted and usually end up taking half home."
