"I went here on a Wednesday and on Wednesdays they have a special where a blue cup (16 oz) is charged by weight but only up to $5...so you can fill it up and add all the toppings and it'll only be $5.I tried coconut and cake batter. The coconut is non dairy so the consistency is a little watery but both were still yummy. Staff was extra friendly. They even have dividers for people who want multiple flavors without mixing them. I 100% recommend this place."
"I was craving some ice cream and looked on Yelp to see what ice cream shop was near me. This spot popped up so I wanted to try it out. The owner Josh served us. We tried at least 5 flavors of ice cream. Each flavor was unique and different. They were all so good, I couldn't make up my mind. So I decided to get a pint of Red Velvet. It was so smooth, not crazy over powering with flavor, just perfect. Thank you! We will be back soon!"

"Amazing dessert spot! As someone lactose-adverse, this is my kind of place. Fantastic array of flavors including kiwi, passion fruit, coffee, peanut butter and more! Not to mention the toppings, milkshakes, slushies, etc. Only $4.80 for a small cup-- but get the large cup to fit three flavors (definitely worth it)! Friendly staff but minimal seating for large groups; luckily you can get pints to go!"
"I wanted to get a sweet treat before I left San Antonio and Matcha Cafe Maiko is the perfect spot for a 9pm dessert. When I think of good matcha I always think about Cafe Maiko and others must feel the same way because the store was completely packed when I came by. There was no seating available and some customers were even sitting on the floor. They were sold out of some things like the cones so I opted for the Ube Matcha Soft Serve Ice Cream which was a little over $7. Pretty good value considering they give you a lot and my ice cream wasn't hollow like some people in the past has complaiend about. Not gonna lie I really enjoyed the Ube more than the Matcha with it being a lot sweeter. Both flavors go great together. It was so smooth and creamy too. Definitely worth it.Also a bit of a downside their kiosk was down at the time too so I had to order at the cashier, but the service was good and my order was made very quickly. In San Antonio, it's hard to find a better dedicated Matcha store than this one that is for sure."
"Ok so I do love this place. Happen to be in the Quarry area three days in a row and three days in a row I visited Amy's. Quite embarrassed to say it but there it is. My absolute favorite is the malt milkshake with Mexican Vanilla ice cream. Mmmmmmmmm:)))))))))The environment is super fun. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They make it entertaining, not just taking your order. We can't wait to go back"
"My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week if not more. We have tried most things on the menu at this point and every food and drink item we've tried has been delicious. I especially have enjoyed the elote (corn in a cup) and aguas frescas topped with chamoy and fruit. It's a cute little spot and we are usually in and out in under 15 minutes. It's nice that the employees speak Spanish as my boyfriend speaks Spanish to communicate well with them. Our orders always come out perfectly."
"Hanamaru Café is one of my all-time favorite spots for dessert in San Antonio! If you haven't been, you're missing out--especially on their matcha and vanilla swirl taiyaki. It's the perfect treat: the crispy, warm fish-shaped pastry filled with soft, creamy ice cream, and when you add condensed milk and mochi, it's an absolute game-changer. The matcha ice cream has a robust, authentic matcha flavor that really shines through, and it pairs so well with the sweetness of the vanilla. But Hanamaru isn't just about desserts. The spam musubi here is another standout. If you're a fan of this Hawaiian classic, you'll love their take--it's savory and satisfying. It's definitely a win-win when you can enjoy both a savory and a sweet option in one visit. I've also noticed that people around me are always enjoying their curry, so that's definitely on my list to try next time. The place is always clean and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making each visit feel special. If you're in the mood for a sweet treat (or even something savory), Hanamaru Café is the spot to be. Their combination of high-quality desserts, tasty bites, and great service makes it a place I'll keep coming back to. Highly recommend!"
"Pretty good ice cream bars at a very cheap price. 60Cents a bar, can't beat it. Load up a basket and buy for everyone at home or work :-p cappuccino flavor was my favorite."
"First time here and it was delicious. You can order at the counter or at a kiosk and it's very user friendly. The food came out within maybe 10 minutes, super quick. I had the shroom burger and was very surprised when cheese was filled inside the portobello and fried-it was fantastic. All of the vegetables were super crispy and fresh on both burgers too. The seasoning and Shake bbq sauce made the bbq fries top notch too. We will definitely be back."
"A few Fridays ago, my girlfriend and I wanted to catch up on the week and decided we'd like to treat ourselves for her birthday. I had never been to KUMA before and browsed the unique and tasty arrangements of ice-cream within a waffle or cup on the Yelp-o-Sphere. The ice-cream looked amazing (thanks Yelpers) and within the hour we were seated in a cool little spot with the aroma of sweet gooey goodness wafting in our noses. The cashier saw the glazed look in my eye and was very helpful and let us try different ice-creams before we made our final choice. Our waffle maker was also helpful and explained his process while I took notes for my review. Wanting to ensure my waffle was just as gooey as the previous one he made, I watched the waffle-making process as the skilled creator made unique combo after combo while I took my time thinking of my add-ons. While the menu seems to be made for the ice-cream lovers, it also boasts cold drinks, ice cream, as well as hot snacks to include, my Japanese Favorite, Gyoza, Wing combos, Mac Bites and Jalapeno poppers. While I studied the board, we choose a delectable combination of Caramel Truffle Ice-cream enclosed in a soft warm waffle. I decided to add an Oreo, toasted marshmallow and cookie crisp cereal to the mix, along with a caramel drizzle to sweeten the team. My girlfriend created a close combo but added strawberries to hers. The combination was mouthwatering and such a treat on a warm day. The waffle had just the right amount of gooey goodness that didn't get soggy and melt my ice-cream while we caught up on the week. Normally, I only see sweet treats like this on Guy's Diners and Dives and I'm so excited that it was a short 15 minutes away from my home (located on 1604). I would definitely recommend this location and indulgence and at $8 a winning combination. Don't walk... Run to get you a KUMA Creation.Highly recommended AKA as Da Islandgal29412"
"Had my first pickledilly and it was amazing. The nachos came way too overloaded with cheese, which made the chips super soggy and messy."
"This place is the cutest, the young ladies behind the counter were the sweetest. I love the low music they play and how relaxed the atmosphere feels. I tried their Cookie Monster Mash & I can't wait to bring my kids to try it. I had never heard of Ube but their purple passion ube was DELICIOUS!She also told me they make their own ice cream and have pints for sale!"

Tried this new place with the family. The kids loved it. Lots of options but would suggest offering more sugar-free ice cream flavors as well as toppings. We had fun and the place is cute.

Brindles Awesome Ice cream is truly awesome! I am a creature of habit and I always get plain cheesecake. I've tried many of the flavors in the past. I went yesterday to pick up some journals from next door. I had to get ice cream since I was already there. Brindles is located inside Huebner Oaks Shopping Center which is like clusters of plazas in a big area on I-10 and Huebner. This area is really nice to shop and it seems even during the week it's fairly busy. Brindles is a long-time favorite, the texture of the ice cream is definitely milk. I can taste the difference if it was powdered milk or fresh milk. I like to think of myself as someone who has tried all brands of ice cream, it's a hobby. Could that be a hobby, LOL Well, it's clean inside and the ladies who attended me were kind. I was the only one in the store. I love how they change the pictures on the walls. I saw funny cats with cowboy hats this time. I enjoyed my ice cream sitting down in the fresh cool air. It was a lovely experience. It looked like it wanted to rain so I got to going. Take your friends! Take your family! Take Your Beloved! You will be pleasantly surprised! :) P.S. I still have not met not one person who doesn't like ice cream. Let me know if you have.

If you want ice cream that uses all natural ingredients and has no artificial coloring -- this is your spot. Me and my family came in and were immediately greeted and asked if we've been there.... This allowed them to explain what they were all about. Hubby had peanut butter, Oreo and vanilla with marshmallow topping. (All he needed was a graham cracker to make it a s'more) I had vanilla, apple/peach, and Romeo& Juliet (guava and cream cheese) Kiddo had pina colada - all that was missing was the beach lolMy other youngin had peanut butter - if you're a PB fan... this one is for you! We were allotted 3 samples and were told which were dairy and non dairy. Temp was nicer than outside so we decided to stay and enjoyed our dessert. Even got to see Angela work her magic while sitting in the bar area. (Seeing her start the process with making a new batch was enjoyable to me) Now that we are familiar with this spot; we will definitely return next time in the area. #MustCheckOut

P.M.C.M is a cute cafe. It's a fun, casual place to sit, relax, and enjoy a sweet treat. Vendors are set up inside, selling different items if you want to shop for cute things. My husband and I ordered the matcha ube swirl ice cream, and my daughter ordered the matcha ice cream. The matcha was delicious, with a robust earthy flavor, but it was still tasty. You could taste that it was authentic ceremonial-grade matcha, complementing the ube ice cream very well. There are other treats for you to enjoy, which we'll try the next time we return. The service was excellent!

5 star service from the friendly staff! Clean, calm spot (when I came anyway)! I've passed by before and there was lots of people! It's evident too from the laid out & roped off entrance & exit, which organizes how to line up w/ directions as you enter. Woman who I ordered with was really nice. Answered my question inquiring what was in the cucumber split-mango Italian ice and more! I wanted it to be smaller so I didn't order it. Ordered nachos w/ jalapeños and a small strawberry Italian ice. Nachos were the familiar favorite & exactly as expected. Italian ice was super soft and quite tasty. It wasn't at all overly sweet, in fact, I kind of wanted sweeter. I also didn't ask if it was an option to get two different kinds in the choice of flavors. I didn't even think about it. Honestly, for the taste I wanted, a mini with one scoop would've served me perfectly. Some of the other snacks looked like super sized snacks. I just wanted little snacks. Ha. Maverick, who is the assistant manager & prepared both of my things was super friendly & when I told him I wanted the cucumber split, but thought it was too big, he said to try it next time because it's served in the same dish as the nachos, so it's not very big. He also said the Italian ice does pretty well in the freezer if you don't finish it. Aguas frescas are also made fresh in house. I'll be back to try at least a few more things on their extensive menu! Only criticism is beyond their control, or maybe something to bring up with building management since it's outside of the store- There were a couple of unhoused people sitting next to the building drinking and tweeking. They weren't a bother but in that mental state, we all just have to be safe & aware of our surroundings (wherever we go, really), that's all.

We came here after shopping at the supermarket next door. Quite spacious but not too well lit for a cloudy day. Still a good number of patrons hanging out inside though. We got the ube and red bean taiyaki. They were both moist and the filling was nice and warm. Def done proper. They also had a bunch of other seasonal flavors like apple or pumpkin pie taiyaki but we didn't have the stomach for them. You can get teas with various sweetness levels. We got ours unsweetened and they were still pretty good.We ordered ahead by 10 min and our order was ready by the time we got there!

"Food: my kids were desperate to try rolled ice cream. Got the oreo one. They had no complaints. Said it was yummy! Service: took awhile to be helped, no one was really at the front, we ended up going outside to come back in just so the door bell would go off again in hopes it'll get someones attention. It worked. Friendly staff, also welcoming. Ambiance: nothing fancy, more like your mom and pop shop, but good enough to get what you need. No complaints."
"What better way to stay cool and enjoying the view in San Antonio than eating ice cream along the Riverwalk. We were walking along the Riverwalk and saw the sign above us for Mr Ice Cream. They serve Blue Bell ice cream which is local to Texas located in Brenham. There are plenty of flavors to choose from. You can order them in a cup or come or waffle cones. They also have different toppings like hot fudge.Shop is well lighted and was ok. There is a bar and some tables inside. There was a line of people waiting to be served when we came in. There were 2 scoopers that night so line went quickly. We ordered 2 scoops in a cup... sea salt caramel and Dutch chocolate. They were yummy! even though it may be an unlikely combo. After grabbing our order went out the back where there are some table and chairs where you can enjoy your ice cream while people watching walking along the Riverwalk. This is one of our favorite stops in San Antonio."
"Owner was very friendly and helpful. Froyo was delicious. Really like this place. Four years ago, it was $.55 per ounce. Now, it's $.77 per ounce. We got two small cups today (17 ounces) and the bill was $14.33. I'm sorry but that's just absurd. We want to come here often. It's just cost prohibitive."
"Cheat day was a total success due to this place ! ! Was driving by and literally did a U-turn to go back and satisfy my sweet tooth. We parked, got out and ordered. The guy working the window let us know we could get back in our car and get in the drive thru line to wait for our treats since it was STUPID cold outside. How awesome is that ?! That made our visit even better. I got a funnel cake and a coconut blue shaved ice. Both were the tastiest thing I have had in a long time. The guy brought our food out to us from the back door so we could cut around the car in front of us and leave. Best customer service evvveerrrr ! ! I regretted and loved every second of this meal."
"The coffee Oreo is unmatched!! The girls were really sweet and nice that worked there. Cute spot, wish I had something like it at home! Delicious!!"
"This place is awesome! You can tell it's likely family owned, lots of new treats and familiar favorites. This place is a must when we come through!"
"I LOVE this place so much! The staff is so welcoming and friendly, the food is great quality and the restaurant itself is a fun vibe. We ordered birria tacos, Baja shrimp tacos, hot cheeto esquete with the watermelon lime agua fresca and omg it was the best meal! (They clearly make their agua Frescas with actual fruit, not premade stuff) We're looking forward to visiting again to try more food and their paletas at their patio"
"We visited this location on a Friday at 8 and had a short line in front of us which moved rather quickly. There's really so much here to choose from but we landed on ice cream and a fruit cup. When it was our turn we were greeted and asked if we had any questions. All the staff were friendly and courteous. We placed our order and received our treats within minutes and headed to check out. The seating area is kinda small but adequate for the size of location. We picked a table and enjoyed our ice cream. Personally I had the Rocky Road that was full of flavor. I highly recommend this flavor if you don't know what to choose. The fruit cup was loaded as well with several types of fruit. Overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend the location."
"We love having different options in San Antonio and this new nitrogen ice cream spot in San Antonio is so glorious! It's great visually for the kids to enjoy and the flavors are excellent! The place is clean and tidy and it's very easy to order! PS: They have so many vegan options available!"
"When you want a snack-ie snack hit this place up! Delicious treats, excellent customer service, family owned & operated. Also picked up some filter water that tasted great 5 gallons for like two dollars honestly cannot beat that !"
"The shakes were differently good. By that, they tasted more of chocolate flavor than chocolate ice cream. In my case, it was well received. I got the 16 oz shake which was the SMALL (don't forget, everything is bigger in Texas). I'd probably drop in there again when in town. You should too.It did take almost 15 minutes to get our shake. I hope that was just because of sparse help."
"I have been searching high and low for milk tea this creamy and smooth. The hunt for these standards is what began my Yelp Elite journey 10 years ago and yet I'm still at it to find the best everywhere I go. Inside was very tranquil and peaceful, I was greeted by a very friendly young man who was eager to help me when I told him it was my first time in. He got right to work on my drink and even brought it to me with a straw from behind the counter. Having a simple yet delicious house milk tea says a lot about what other great drinks they have, I can't wait to find out!"
"We stopped in for a sweet treat and we were not disappointed. The selection was outstanding, the portion sizes were generous, and the staff was friendly. Will be back!"
"I ordered the coconada. It was good. Their coconut ice cream was different, not traditional ice cream but still good. The strawberries were fresh and it came with the right amount of Oreos and chocolate syrup. Was is worth $6, I don't think so. I can't say anything about their fancy fruit snacks but I hope they are worth the $12 that they cost."
"I ordered an Elote Loko with Hot Cheetos and it was absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend it, it's such a hole in the wall type of place."
"Shaved ice and corn in a cup. The perfect summer snack combo. What I love about Snow Monkey is they have what they call "natural" flavored shaved ice. So instead of the sugary, sticky syrup, they put real fruit and juice on the fluffiest ice ever. Mango, pina colada, strawberry, coffee, tamarindo, etc. You still have your choice of about 50 syrup flavors too, if that's your thing. The reason for only four stars is because I wish they had a better hang out spot to sit and enjoy the ice. Instead, there are two small tables that may or may not be available, and you are so close to Fredericksburg Rd that you hear and smell Via busses drive by every 5-7 minutes. Still doesn't keep me from going."
"Great spot to try some Mexican goodies. This place has pretty good mangonadas! If you don't know what this is, go get one. Specially if you love mango! They have several types of ice creams, corn in a cups, as well as fruit waters you can try. I highly recommend this spot."
"Wonderful little place. Reminds me of the snack shops in Laredo and the valley.Stopped next door to get an appliance and while we were waiting the kids and I snuck next door to la Chiquita for some scoops and fun.The staff is super nice and friendly. There's plenty of flavors of ice cream, paletas, and tons of snacks. All your favorite drinks like topo Chico and big red are present and ready to wash down whatever you're eating. Don't miss this neighborhood gem!"
"Everything fresh made to order. Generous portions. Clean establishment. A variety of selections to choose from. You'll find a treat to your liking for sure."
"Hidden unassuming place that takes care of all snack cravings. They have an extensive menu and lots of various snacks to appease all in the family. My favorite go to is corn in the cup and their large was a true large 24oz cup for under $5 with all the fixings. On this trip we ordered 2 large corn in cups, fresa con crema, mango en palo, and chicharrón chorreado all for under $25!! I can't wait for my next visit."
"This location is super close. Plenty of parking and selection. I love how each menu item has a picture on the wall. It's not that expensive either."
"I waited too long to try this place. I'm a big fan of Singhs restaurant and didn't think this place would measure up but it definitely did. I got a rice bowl with teriyaki chicken and I loved it. The service is quick everything seems freshly made. The building is clean and there are places to eat inside. Pros: would be the portion size and cost. Cons: no drive thru and limited menu. I'll be back."
