Steve B. "Review # 400, and I'm so glad it is for an outstanding place! My wife was having dental work nearby and one of the dental assistants recommended this place. I looked on Yelp and found out that I had bookmarked this place some time ago as one of the places I needed to try. This place was in the extended shopping center we were in, and we decided to drive to it as it was so hot. Finding it, we found a nearby parking spot in the shade and took it. We arrived a little early, so there was not a crowd (that changed considerably before we left).Walking in, we found a few tables were taken, but that nearly all in the overflow area were empty. We only had 1 couple in front of us waiting in line so that gave us time to look at the menu that is on the wall. We decided what we wanted by the time the other couple had ordered. The help was so nice and knowledgeable and helped us with ordering. She also was quick to tell us about how they grind the meat daily, made their own chips daily, and in fact just about everything was made in house daily. While we were talking with her a young man walked up behind the counter. It turned out he was the owner's son, and he was so friendly. We paid for our order and went and got a table in the overflow area. It was not long until the food arrived. It was just as we ordered, hot, juicy, and so very tasty. The burgers were cooked to order, the chips were amazing, and the side order of fries were great. Everything was seasoned so well, just like I would have done it at home:)Talk about service. While we were eating a young lady came to check on our food. After a while, the owner's son came to check on us. Finally, the owner came around to check on us. Amazing!!! The owner actually spent quite a while with us talking and told us his story about how the restaurant came to be. Such a nice man, and in fact, they all were. Will I return? A definite yes. I will go out of my way to eat here again."

Katina J. "Grabbed lunch with my co-worker and so glad he suggested this small food truck park. We were undecided, so grabbed wings from the truck across the way. And I was lured in by the big beautiful smile of the young lady at this truck's window. I ordered the fried rice (Khao Pad) and a Thai tea (bag). We chose to share our lunch with each other and Wow! That's all I can say. The wings from the other truck were soooo tasty (perfectly seasoned), sorry I don't know the name of the other truck. But then we tried the rice from Aroy Ver and when I say it was freaking delicious! We only had one fork, my coworker ate his with his hands, yep it was just that good. Initially I thought it was a bit pricey, but then I realized the portion (easily three servings) and the amount of meat...and that delicious flavor...mmm. This experience was well worth the price and that bag of Thai tea was the icing on the cake, thank you for this culinary creativity."

Grace C. "We had the Carne Asada Fries and bacon ranch quesadilla. Contrary to the menu stating $14 we were charged $16 and change for the Carne Asada Fries. The carne asada itself had no seasoning and was pretty bland. But the fries were good fries. They definitely needed some salt though. The fries look appetizing but with no seasoning on meat and no salt on the fries, I was pretty disappointed with the value for almost $17. The bacon ranch quesadillas were actually not bad, but veryyyy greasy. I would stay away from it if you have a problem with your food dripping in oil. I forgot to take a photo of that so I won't mention it too much. It is worth mentioning that the house made ranch they serve with the quesadilla was good. Might give them another shot if I return to Texas dog co."

Brad B. "Great tacos, they were at my neighborhood pool so I went by instead of cooking for the fam. Loved their tacos. I had the pastor street tacos, very flavorful. The beef was very finely chopped which is a bit different but delicious! Also tried my kid's asada taco it was also delicious. The regular tacos are probably a better deal as far as amount of meat. My wife had the nachos which were surprisingly good too. I wasn't expecting much from food truck nachos but they were great. The chicken is dark meat which I love and they were just floating in cheese. The one misfire was the Mexican hotdog. I was expecting more from the bun and the dog. The beans and other toppings were good."

Yizhen L. "I think this is the right place - it's a taco truck called Mi Taco on the side of Rittiman in a gas station. They seem to come out sometime after 5pm and has been open past midnight. I've driven by it so many times and finally gave it a try one night. There were a lot of people waiting, for me that's always a good sign. It made the wait a little ridiculous, 25 minutes for a burrito, but at least I know it will be piping hot and fresh. The red and green salsas were both great. I had the al pastor burrito and it was a generous size, but not like some ginormous ones I've had where it's straight up 2 meals. Some people got mini tacos which looked pretty good too, next time I would bring a friend and try the tacos and eat it there. Tacos to-go are a no no for me and it's a little too sketchy for a girl to eat there by the truck alone at night."

Chris A. "I noshed on their patty melt which looked like it was cooked in a Panini press. The patty melt had some cooked onions and a generous helping of cheese - two varieties it looked like but I don't know for sure. It was quite the tasty treat. The only negative thing would be the price - at $8 for a patty melt with no side and no drink, it's quite dear.My wife got the soy ginger salmon with noodles and loved it. The salmon was cooked very well and not at all dried out. The soy ginger glaze was very delicious, too. The noodles had a strong soy sauce flavor with a hint of sweetness. Very tasty. We also tried the scratch fries. Meh, as Yelp would say. They were OK, but I didn't find them to be anything other than ordinary jazzed up fries. Overall, Scratch Bistro puts out a good product. I would not hesitate to order from them again."

Mesquite coal inferno powers the taco cooking outside while patrons, jarritos, salsa bar stay cool inside listening to festive rhythms.Fun place. Owner??/manage?? Was super nice and checked on us several times and clearly is putting in the effort to create excellent fare.Three main dishes to choose from - tacos (pollo, asada, al pastor), mulitas (cheesy, meaty gold) and vampiritos (similar but on crisp tortilla). Hot, served a few seconds off the grill. Big selection of chilled, ultra-fresh salsas, chiles, radishes etc at the salsa bar. Trust me, you will want to try all of these...Also had a tasty unique dish called Chile Cabrone. Consists of chile, sliced open, stuffed with cheese, meat and a splash of soy sauce. It works ans its great!!Get off of your couch and get you some tacos cabron!Oh and take a snap with Wemba at the cool mural outside on the wall. Wembamania just starting to heat up."

Brandi P. "The staff were very friendly and although it was not busy, the food took a little while. They have nice outdoor seating, which is good because during this pandemic we do not stay inside of restaurants. We got the Carne Mechada - Shredded Beef Empanada and the Cachapa - corn pancake stuffed with cheese and butter. The empanada was good, not the best I have had, but good. The meat is inside a fried corn crust. It was hot and fresh. The meat was tender and juicy, but I would have liked more flavor. The outside was a little sweet, crisp, and crunchy. One is really not enough, get 2 or something else off the menu to compliment it.The Cachapa was really good, but way too expensive. Just 1 is $8.99. The corn pancake is sweet, thick, and fluffy. It had a great flavor. The cheese is gooey and also really good. These are also not a meal, so at that price I will not be making a habit out of getting them."

They have a variety of options and would like to sample some more. The sliders were so juicy and make a great snack as you hangout here! Each order also comes with a bag of Vicky's chips. For the sliders, I chose the beef option, but you can also choose chicken. I had the Lil' Kahuna, Cowboy From Hell, and Chuck Norris (from my picture left to right). Lil' Kahuna had a great mix of full flavor and the pineapples weren't too overwhelming. The Cowboy From Hell was truly spicy and flavorful if you need some heat. The Chuck Norris was my favorite...sweet, spicy, with a roundhouse of flavor in the slider ground beef patty! Sliders from a food truck, new concept perhaps, but perfectly satisfying!"

Brent L. "They're currently posted up at The Block, and as the name implies, there are plenty of bulgogi items available here. You can get 4 bulgogi street tacos for $5. Most food trucks are pricey, so I consider this a good value for $5 and they were very filling. The corn tortillas they were served on were hot, fresh, and very tasty. Topped with cilantro, feta cheese, fresh cabbage, a light dousing of sriracha sauce AND a spicy mayo. All the toppings made these tacos a flavor bomb, but it detracted from the flavor of the bulgogi meat. I'm not saying I wouldn't get these again, I'm just saying that the bulgogi deserves to stand out just a tad bit more. I also ordered the Yaki Mandu - six chicken dumplings with a sweet spicy dipping sauce for a total of $6. This was the best item ordered from this food trailer. They were awesome! After letting my food digest and playing giant Connect Four for a while, I found myself back at this food trailer. That's when I ordered the Bulgogi Fries ($8). The bulgogi in this dish was much more flavorful because it wasn't covered up by everything else. Although the flavor of the bulgogi stood out in this dish, the fries weren't the best, and the combination of the other toppings just didn't mix well with the fries. The toppings were good, and they were fresh, they just don't belong on fries in my opinion. I'd take a pass on this dish in the future. All in all, the Bull Gogi Boys have a good thing going. Don't let this review scare you away. I'd try the street tacos again, and definitely the dumplings. I'm just not sold on the fries."

They have a limited menu, but it the chef knows how to cook these menu items perfectly.I bought a plate of five carne asada tacos for $6. That's an unbelievable price compared to what other places charge per taco, especially when you consider the cilantro and onions are freshly cut and prepared. At a dollar extra for a slice of avocado for each taco, you can't beat the price of the food at Tacos El Pelon."
