Victoria C. "Growing up and subsequently going to college in different parts of northern California, I grew up with the assumption that hole in the wall Chinese restaurants were usually the most authentic and best tasting. Thinking this and missing California this weekend, I decided to give Full House a try, but I'm not sure it really met my expectations.I will say, their portion sizes are generous and their food comes out quickly, for a very fair price given the amount of food that you get. The dishes themselves will also do in a pinch, but I don't feel like it was white I was looking for.The beef lo mein, to start with, was by far the highlight of the meal. It was well prepared, with the noodles not overcooked or undercooked, and a generous amount of meat. The sesame balls were a little more cooked than I'm used to but not overcooked (the sesame seeds were toasted pretty dark), but had a good outside to filling ratio. Also, hot and freshly made, which was something I deeply missed. The sweet and sour pork was sort of a miss. The pieces of pork were very tiny, sort of fingertip sized, and there was only pineapples - not bell peppers or onions or anything like I'm accustomed to. The sweet and sour sauce was kind of bland, had more of a vinegar kick to it than anything else, but not bad. The cream cheese wontons/rangoons were cooked a little unevenly so they were really chewy in the middle but really thoroughly cooked at the tips, and they tasted sort of fishy, like they'd been fried in oil just used to fry fish in. Overall, it wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it was a decent and fairly priced restaurant that will do when you're in need of a quick lunch."

That said, it is a comfortable restaurant.I believe they have the best egg drop soup I have had anywhere. It is fantastic. I also love the way they prepare their beef dishes and egg rolls. The beef broccoli and Mongolian beef are standouts. I already want to go back as I type this review!"

Too much fried stuff, wish they had spare ribs instead of all the fried goodies, . Other than that. It was a 10 out of 10"

The crab ragoon, General Tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, all of it, is some of the best I've ever had. Keep up the excellent quality so we can keep ordering from here. They included everything we needed, including plasticware, sauces, soup crunchies, etc. Excellent Chinese delivery: 5/5."

I had the spicy Mongolian chicken, orange chicken, hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, crab rangoon, and fried dumplings. The orange chicken and Mongolia chicken came with the choice of fried rice or white rice and egg roll, spring roll, or crab rangoon, I upgraded mine to have combination lo mein. These dishes were so flavorful and fresh, then the spice level came through so nice on the Mongolia chicken! Now the soups were both delicious, that hot & sour soup though is AMAZING!! The crab Rangoon and dumplings were yummy as well. My server was Jaime and he was wonderful and so attentive. This is a family owed restaurant with about 5 tables, the perfect hole in the wall in my opinion! I can't wait to come back and try some more plates."

Jacqueline J. "On Friday evening, my boyfriend suggested Vietnamese for dinner. While he wanted Pho, I saw some photos of tasty vermicelli bowls that looked like they would hit the spot. After searching online, Heavenly Pho popped up in our search so we made our way slowly to the restaurant during rush hour traffic. The restaurant was decorated beautiful inside and we were greeted immediately upon entry and seated by our waiter. While our waiter took our drink orders, we browsed the menu and I decided to dine on the Vermicelli Chicken bowl that included an eggroll and shrimp, while my boyfriend selected the Pho special and an order of Crispy Calamari. Our waiter came out often to check on us and even warmed my noodles at my request for my Vermicelli bowl. While i understand we are dealing with inflation, I wasn't pleased to count 5 pieces of chicken and see 2 pieces of shrimp heaped on a bowl of noodles and bean sprouts. After viewing other restaurants and seeing what was in placed in front of me, I started to doubt our choice to dine here. I for one love eating at home and my boyfriend loves eating out, but if you are going to raise prices to around $14 a bowl, 1/3 cup of meat should at least be the standard to serve to your guest. I also wasn't pleased with the poorly cleaned shrimp with the dirt line that glowed on the plate in front of me. I felt a bit slighted as he dined on his Pho so I ended up tasting his selection, which was seasoned to perfection. He also ordered a Banh Mi to go and we paid our tab.For nearly $64 with a tip, I do believe I could have found a meal that I felt was worth the trip and cost elsewhere. When I eat out, I like to find restaurants that have ingredients that I normally don't cook with so that I feel like it was worth the trip, labor and cost. My meal, I feel I definitely could have prepared off of a YouTube tutorial and enjoyed more at home. I felt like they tried to disguise the protein under the vegetables to make you think you were getting more than you were (sigh).I did post a photo of what I expected vs what I received and will continue looking around San Antonio for other selections."

Susan C. "Why all the super bad reviews? It's a Chinese buffet. You're not going to get gourmet food. You're there for quantity. We had several plates of food (not the filled to over-flowing like most folks). Come on people, you can go back for seconds, thirds, etc. The buffet is the usual appetizers of spicy wings, spring and egg rolls, Rangoon, dumplings, bbq ribs. Entrees include bed and broccoli, spicy chicken, crab legs, fish, shrimp, etc. The surprise was that the sushi was not bad. Fresh-tasting. Give them a try."

Dimona E. "Formosa Garden is my go-to spot when I'm craving flavorful dishes and standout cocktails. Their Pad Thai is a must-try--sweet, tangy, and absolutely packed with protein. It's loaded with chicken, shrimp, and fried tofu, along with scallions, bean sprouts, and eggs, all tossed in a delicious Thai specialty sauce and topped with freshly ground peanuts. The portion is generous enough to share, though I usually keep it all to myself because it's just that good! When it comes to drinks, the cucumber martini steals the show. It's refreshing, perfectly balanced, and has just the right amount of kick to make it memorable. It's easily one of my favorite cocktails in town. The restaurant has an old-school casual vibe that feels warm and welcoming. Their service is always prompt, whether it's seating, taking orders, or getting food to the table. I'd also recommend trying their egg drop soup--it's simple yet delicious and complements the meal beautifully.Formosa Garden combines great food, excellent drinks, and reliable service, making it a spot I return to again and again."

Walter S. "Acceptable I feel is the best I can bestow upon Wok Inn. Having coworkers order this in for a training, it got the job done; that is I was not hungry afterwards but I also didn't feel overly full or gross. The flip side of it is, had I paid for this out of pocket, I would have been more so disappointed. Their website makes ordering a breeze (kudos them)! It's super streamlined and user friendly and delivery was quick. Our food arrived hot, ahead of the estimated wait time, and correct. I opted for the Cantonese Broccoli over whole grain rice with tofu and a side of egg drop soup. The portion was spot on for lunch, not too much but left me satiated. The tofu and broccoli were well coated in sauced and cooked nice but the sauce wasn't overly flavorful. The rice by itself bland but improved upon when mixed with the tofu and broccoli. The egg drop soup was a nuclear orange color, and mostly broth. There was a strand or two of egg floating in it but few and far between to be found. It not only was devoid of texture with no crispy noodles provided but also devoid of flavor. Suffice it to say I don't foresee me order from Wok Inn anytime soon especially if I am paying out of pocket rather than it being a work expense. It just didn't bring anything to the table other than I wasn't full afterwards and I can get that from almost any dining experience in the area."

The pad Thai (child's portion shown) fresh and hot, really tasty. The Thai dish pad pak was great also; heat options were medium, hot, or Thai hot. I chose medium, and it had a nice spice that enhanced the flavor. A large portion of freshly cooked veg and meat. A small restaurant, but busy enough when we were there. Also a steady stream of to go and DoorDash orders going out, but we still got our plates within 15 minutes. Very helpful staff, nice clean place, reasonably priced. Now we want to go back to try the Chinese dishes they offer. Highly recommend!"

I usually order the Kung Pao Chicken (which is delicious) but decided to try the Jalapeno Chicken tonight. I got the deluxe combo that comes with egg roll, rice, soup, and a drink. I upgraded the veggie fried rice. The rice was great, tons of veggies and the perfect amount of egg. The Jalapeno Chicken was good but not very spicy. The Hot and Sour soup was ok but not great. Customer service is acceptable, only one table inside. I would say the cummulative rate of getting the order right is about 60 percent (granted, often ask for no onions which they will forget). Plus, I am pretty sure that when I sent it back, even after the receipt indicated "No onions", all they did was take them out, rather than remake it, since my second one still has several pieces in it. They are meant to be a delivery + take out business. Nothing spectacular, but meets the minimum when required. They raised their prices here, making it more than most other Chinese places in the area that actually taste better. This, there are many better options that are definitely worth the few extra minutes for takeout, but for proximity for me + I imagine others, Lee's will have to do sometimes!"
