"Excellent service! This restaurant is warm and inviting. We opted for Tom-Kha soup, Papaya Salad (also known as Som Tam) and White Spring rolls paired with the iced Jasmine Tea to keep our meal light after a long walk in the park.My friend and i thoroughly enjoyed every layer and complexity of our meal. It was pure perfection! I absolutely love Thai food. And this restaurant is quite authentic. I had only had Som Tam with blue crab previously, but the dried shrimp gives it a different flavor profile (just as delicious). We did Thai spicy, I love heat and this dish did not disappoint! The soup was aromatic and coconut-cream. Spring rolls had fresh ingredients, sauce was not too peanutty. Everything was delicious. *This is a must visit restaurant here in SA. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes."

"On Friday evening, my boyfriend suggested Vietnamese for dinner. While he wanted Pho, I saw some photos of tasty vermicelli bowls that looked like they would hit the spot. After searching online, Heavenly Pho popped up in our search so we made our way slowly to the restaurant during rush hour traffic. The restaurant was decorated beautiful inside and we were greeted immediately upon entry and seated by our waiter. While our waiter took our drink orders, we browsed the menu and I decided to dine on the Vermicelli Chicken bowl that included an eggroll and shrimp, while my boyfriend selected the Pho special and an order of Crispy Calamari. Our waiter came out often to check on us and even warmed my noodles at my request for my Vermicelli bowl. While i understand we are dealing with inflation, I wasn't pleased to count 5 pieces of chicken and see 2 pieces of shrimp heaped on a bowl of noodles and bean sprouts. After viewing other restaurants and seeing what was in placed in front of me, I started to doubt our choice to dine here. I for one love eating at home and my boyfriend loves eating out, but if you are going to raise prices to around $14 a bowl, 1/3 cup of meat should at least be the standard to serve to your guest. I also wasn't pleased with the poorly cleaned shrimp with the dirt line that glowed on the plate in front of me. I felt a bit slighted as he dined on his Pho so I ended up tasting his selection, which was seasoned to perfection. He also ordered a Banh Mi to go and we paid our tab.For nearly $64 with a tip, I do believe I could have found a meal that I felt was worth the trip and cost elsewhere. When I eat out, I like to find restaurants that have ingredients that I normally don't cook with so that I feel like it was worth the trip, labor and cost. My meal, I feel I definitely could have prepared off of a YouTube tutorial and enjoyed more at home. I felt like they tried to disguise the protein under the vegetables to make you think you were getting more than you were (sigh).I did post a photo of what I expected vs what I received and will continue looking around San Antonio for other selections."

"Great food and options. Friendly staff. Spacious, clean restaurant. Plenty of parking. I discovered this restaurant after I received their menu in my mailbox. I noticed that they have plenty of options that I was interested in, so I made a point to go there for dinner last night. I couldn't make up my mind, but ended up with general tso shrimp. My friend got the lemon chicken. Both serving sizes were huge. The general tso shrimp is marked as spicy on the menu. I did ask for them to make it less spicy. I am a chicken when it comes to spice, so I did feel like the less spicy version was a tad bit spicy still. Next time, I'll just ask for no spice and add my own spice as needed. The meal came with either fried rice or white rice. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The sauce was delicious and they gave me enough to soak my rice in it. My friend enjoyed her lemon chicken. I saw a lot of people taking their food to go. Definitely a great to go spot. I want to return to eat a few of the other items on the menu."

"Came in on a Sunday around 11 am when they opened and there were a lot of seats available.We were easily attended too. Ordered our usual summer roll and brisket and steak pho.The broth was flavorful!The summer roll was good amount of shrimp, the peanut sauce was a tadbit too think for me. The kids meal sesame chicken was a lot for a 3 year old, so we had some to take home! Overall good dining experience here! No issues!"

"Formosa Garden is my go-to spot when I'm craving flavorful dishes and standout cocktails. Their Pad Thai is a must-try--sweet, tangy, and absolutely packed with protein. It's loaded with chicken, shrimp, and fried tofu, along with scallions, bean sprouts, and eggs, all tossed in a delicious Thai specialty sauce and topped with freshly ground peanuts. The portion is generous enough to share, though I usually keep it all to myself because it's just that good!When it comes to drinks, the cucumber martini steals the show. It's refreshing, perfectly balanced, and has just the right amount of kick to make it memorable. It's easily one of my favorite cocktails in town.The restaurant has an old-school casual vibe that feels warm and welcoming. "Stopped into this area Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant for lunch with a group of work colleagues. I was the only one in the group who had a Vietnamese dish, though, and I ordered the beef vermicelli bowl along with an order of fresh Summer rolls (shrimp and pork) with peanut sauce. Both were done well and tasted fine. The Summer rolls were a bit heavy on the leaves and didn't have as many sprouts as I like. Also, the peanut sauce was a little thinner than I like as well. Food: C+The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, and there were plenty of tables available, even on a Friday at noon. Ambiance: BThe service was not over-friendly, but very good and attentive. We were in and out of the restaurant in just under an hour. Service: BThe value for the meal was about average for this type of meal, running just under $20 for both items. Value: B-Overall, it was a nice experience with a group of work friends, although it probably still isn't my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town."

"I am not a buffet person, preferring instead to have kitchen personnel focus on preparing my order and deliver it directly to my table. I find buffet food cooked for many and placed in a warming tray for who knows how long to affect doneness. Which I found to be true here. That said, this is one of the better Chinese buffets I have tried in town. There is a vast array of options, from raw or cooked sushi to ice cream and other desserts to all the oriental dishes to pizza and french fries and salads. There's even a Mongolian grill. The salad bar has less of the typical lettuce and veg to put on it but instead more of the mac or potato or seafood salads. I found some of the fish dishes too done and dry. There are many types of chicken, some fried and some not. They were busy when I was there, so perhaps that accounts for the dining room not as clean on the floors. It is a large place so not a long wait. But overall I recommend if a Chinese buffet is what you are looking for."

"Came here for dinner with a friend earlier this week. I don't have too much to say about the ambiance - it felt like your average Chinese restaurant. The menus were nice, though. Thoroughly bound and hefty. The two ladies at the cash out were super friendly, and were kind enough to seat me while I waited for my friend to arrive. We ordered the Lovers Beef (a cold, refreshing appetizer), the Xialongbao (wrapper had good chew, filling was nicely flavored - wish it had a bit more brothy-ness on the inside), what I think was the Sweet Garlic Beef (It was spicy and had lots of garlic flavor), and the Dongpo Pork (tender, delicious, sweet).My choices (xialongbao and dongpo pork) were excellent. The pork belly in particular was probably my favorite dish of the evening. It had a sweet, stick sauce and came semi-pre-sliced. Sliced enough to cut tender pieces of it with a spoon. In short, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed everything we ordered.Would I come back? Maybe. Would I order for delivery? Absolutely."

"On a cold day, Phō is always good medicine! They don't disappoint here and there is something for everyone because the menu is huge! Starting with drinks there is a wide variety of favorites to choose from and some items you don't typically see at a Vietnamese restaurant, but they seem to have a lot of food and drink items from all of southeastern Asia! I started with the classic Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk which was a smooth little pick me up!The phō broth was out of this world so flavorful, real bone broth flavor and not just hot water poured over noodles. Definitely that was something that will be bringing me back. The meat was great too and also seemed to have some skirt steak as well and not just meatballs.Also not pictured was fried rice with steak pieces and that was a good entree to share and took as leftovers!"
