"Great food great service. The food is always consistent and perfect portion sizes. The boards are always my go to but the skewers are fantastic as well."
"It's a really sweet place. Cute woodsy area in the front - entrance can be a bit confusing if you park in their small lot. Doesn't help when there is a lot of construction going on. It looks like they have a very busy catering / take out, multiple bags being prepared and picked up while we were there. The staff (guy) who helped us was really friendly and very helpful while funny. The space is tight. Older converted small house with small rooms- poor ventilation, not very cool rooms. Went with my friend and we ordered the chicken salad and grilled pimento cheese sandwiches and we shared. We had the combo (potato rosemary, kettle chips & my friend had the soup & quinoa). Soup was a little heavy. My friend really liked the quinoa. The chicken salad definitely was pickle forward and had a bit going on- I didn't taste much of the chicken and a bit dry. Reminded me of a really good tuna salad. The pimento sandwich was good- different when grilled. I would almost ask for it cold - the pimento was that good. They have bottle and canned drinks. We had the lemon bar and the Mexican wedding cookie. I will say the flies were pretty bad which was surprising but not shocking based on the last review. They are everywhere and pesky as can be. This really took away from the experience. I hope you stop by and share your experience."
"O Chela's, Chela's... wherefore art thou Chela's...? Don't mind me... I just got done watching that horrible Leonardo version of Romeo & Juliet and Chela's popped up in my head. I don't believe there is ANY correlation between the two whatsoever. I'm weird like that.My go-to at Chela's? The shrimp taco on corn. Plump & satisfying accompanied with thin slices of grilled sweet red onion, white onion, green bell pepper, and whatever other flavorful goodness is incorporated within this luscious mix. I've tried other tacos they offer like the gringas, carnita, asada, & barbacoa but the tacos de camaron are my staple. Service has always been friendly and the prices are fair for the amount you get (not to mention the full on flavor that's included)."
"If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, I would! This is the real thing - it is genuine Mexican food. I'm always on the look out for foods of my homeland, but the majority fall very short. Their food is very tasty and well served. No shortage of flavors or servings here. The location is tiny. As of now they have suspended all dining inside, as well as on their patio. They have converted to takeout orders only. Order may be placed by phone or on arrival at their counter. They have a variety of casual street foods along with some American sandwiches and pastries (although I wish they would just stick to Mexican specialties). We ordered a Torta Mixta (Pastor and Bistec). It was served on a perfectly soft French bread roll where it was filled with meat, avocado, white cheese and Mexican cream. Every bite was filled with so many savory flavors. We also ordered the Tacos De Canasta. I have never seen this on any menu in the US. The cooking process is completed in a basket with steam. The order had 15 mini-tacos of bean and cheese, Carme desherbada, and papa con chorizo (for $15 it is one of their most value items). Similar to the torta, these tiny tacos were packed with so much flavor. The best part - was the dessert. We ordered Pan De Muerto (Bread of the Dead) which is a seasonal item. It is a sweet bread that has a hard sugary shell with a super soft, almost buttery inside. The bread looks simple but the flavor is far from it. It is one of the most delicious breads I have EVER tasted.Pricing for their regular tacos are a bit high for street food - especially since they are permanently becoming strictly takeout. Their website and location still announces All-You-Can-Eat Taco Tuesdays - which is no longer available. Updating the website along with their new hours will avoid some confusion. In all - this is a place which I intend on frequenting regularly."
"I visited this establishment for a small luncheon. What I liked most is that there was an employee greeting guests and directing us where to park upon arrival. The facility has two rooms, a larger space upon entry, and a smaller room towards the back. The hostesses of the event I attended were able to decorate the room as desired. The food (mixed pasta plate, salad, iced tea and rolls) was plentiful. The taste was not my preference but there was nothing overtly wrong with it - simply personal preference.Although I don't know the cost, I would definitely recommend this place for a birthday party, shower, family event, etc."

Our first night in San Antonio and we were looking for a cool new spot to try and we landed on Postino. Now I'm just sad we're leaving since there's no Postino in Vegas! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a bustling ambiance and were immediately brought over to a table. It was pretty busy for a Monday night, so be sure to make a reservation beforehand. Our server, Grace, was so lovely! She was super kind and explained the menu and checked up on us several times. We got a bunch of stuff to share, but the standouts were the Bruschetta Board and the Crispy Cauliflower. The Bruschetta Board is such a great idea, and each one we tried was unique and tasted amazing. For our 4 choices we got the French Onion, Warm Artichoke, Smoked Salmon and the chefs selection which was Beets Cheese with candied Pecans. Wow. I was obsessed!! The beets were my personal favorite, but we each enjoyed all of them. And they cut it up for the table which was such a good touch. The Crispy Cauliflower was outstanding. It was loaded with sauce underneath and the cauliflower was warm and soft as you cut through it. Really delicious! They also had a great variety of lemonade "mocktails" which was nice to see. I opted for the Blackberry Smash, which I believe was a blackberry arnold palmer. It wasn't too sweet and was super refreshing!Overall, our experience was amazing thanks to the out of this world food and consistent service. Next time we're in Texas, we're definitely coming back!

Always delicious and a delight. Such a charming setting to sit and snack in their garden area. And it's honestly so hard these days to find the perfect classic gingerbread.

Ok, so I ordered an overpriced taco from Chela's at the Block a couple of weeks ago. It was $10 and I was told it was pretty big, so I went for it. It was pretty strange actually. It seemed to consist of a HUGE chunk of some sort of fried cheese. I can't recall exactly what else was in it, but it really wasn't very good. Given my overall experience with Chela's since 2011, I will not ding them too badly. Everything else is good and pretty consistent. I just wanted to let y'all now that they missed it with this item. I wish I remember what it was called - but I can't find it on their menu.

I am so glad I stopped by yesterday because I truly found an excellent little restaurant in Stone Oak. This place definitely takes pride and joy in preparing their delicious food and the place is situated for a quick in and out or a cafe lounging type setting. I got to try the street tacos which they have everyday after 6 pm. EXCELLENT! I also had a side of rice and FIDEO and was loving every taste of it. The owner understands her clientele and caters to everyone from sandwiches and muffins to FIDEO and tacos, there is something for everyone at Marioli. It is also a family friendly establishment and there is a nice patio seating outside for those who want to eat outside with a nice night breeze. Stop by sometime, you won't be disappointed!

I have known the people at Anne Marie's for well over 15 years- so when I got engaged I knew Anne Marie's would be our caterers. While going for a taste test we learned about the reception room. (I had totally forgotten about this room-- my dad's Lions Club had their 50th anniversary party in this same room about 10 years earlier). Robert, the head chef totally out did himself on our taste test. Go on an empty stomach because they know how to stuff you! The room is beautiful and went with our color scheme (Robin's Egg Blue with touches of pink). We used Anne Marie's for our ceremony/reception and for our catering too. They are easy to work with. Matt is a doll! They have been doing this for so many years, you can trust them with all the details! ** the only thing I would suggest is possibly hiring a day of wedding planner or have a friend tap you on the shoulder with the times for key moments ... i.e: cake cutting, dances, speeches, garter/bouquet **

We chose Got it Covered for our December wedding and they were fabulous. We had a 4 month engagement and were scrambling to find vendors. We were fortunate they still had our date open. After contacting them, they provided several meal options and tiers as I wanted a plated dinner. My fiance and I met them for a tasting and every dish they brought out was superb. We opted for the pecan crusted chicken and the poblano chicken. From the initial bite, we knew we had found the caterer. The flavors and attention to detail for every plate is well thought through. I was looking forward to our wedding day to eat again. They helped me develop a time line for the reception which was very appreciated. We also had a Smores bar at the end of the night, which was a hit with all the guests. The serving crew was professional at all times and treated every guest with the up most attention. I am very thankful for their service, meals and communication throughout the planning and the event itself. I highly recommend them, they are professional and helpful and made our wedding stress free. My family is still raving about the food and service. Thank you Got it Covered!

"El Cerviche De Waldito? There is no sign. But thank goodness it still showed up on Yelp and I saw the sign for Puerto Rican, Cuban & Peruvian food. My friends wanted to share their favorite restaurant with me and I'm so glad they ordered because I can't figure out most of the menu. If you ask them, they will definitely make recommendations on their daily specials. Lunch buffet is easy- dinner is a little harder :-)Hole-in-the-walls are the best. And for good reason. They are usually started from scratch with sweat, blood and tears. You can taste the passion in their dishes. Waldo and his wife started off as a catering business and just expanded into a restaurant a year ago and are going strong. It's definitely a two person show so be patient and go when it's slow...you'll get to spend time with him and maybe he'll share his stories with you.It was all to-die-for and I'll be dreaming of this dinner for years to come. The pictures don't do justice. You need to try it for yourself.Tostones-fried plantains with homemade lemon juice/garlic dipping saucePeruvian chicken tamaleThere was some special plate with pork and chicken and rice Coffee! the coffee for dessert was like espresso on crack. Super strong and sweet. yum. Oh cheese, reliving this is making me want to go for dinner."
"Got it Covered Events really DOES have it covered! We had so many compliments on both the food and the linens that we utilized at our wedding from Got It Covered. There was a nut allergy in the family that Martha adjusted the menu for and we really appreciated that. The staff was courteous, professional, and in time! We had some left over food and we were so happy to have the leftovers for the out of town family to eat for the rest of their stay here! We will definitely be recommending Got It Covered."
"Truck was posted up on second Saturday at Essex Modern Art, there was no line when I decided to give em a shot and my food was out super quickly. I believe each of their entree items were priced at $9 and they offered some canned sodas and water bottles. My homie ordered the street tacos and I got the carne asada fries, yoooooo, they were some of the best I've had. Not only was the meat super flavorful and tender but the fries were perfectly crispy and tossed in some seasoning as well. I'm so used to at least one component being bland but these were poppin. For $9 it was a huge plate, too. I let a few people sample off my plate, wound up super full, and still had a good chunk for my homie to help polish off. My interactions with the staff were pretty short, just ordered then ran back for my pickup, but what was spoken was friendly. I'd def give em another try but I'd be torn between wanting to try everything and getting more of those super tasty fries."
"Start off by saying this review is of their food truck. The guys there were friendly and super helpful. We just happened to pass by as they were setting up and decided to give them a shot.Wife and daughter had their grilled chicken sandwich with provolone, wife added bacon.I tried their brisket street tacos fully loaded.Food was great (not enough tacos - I should have asked for 4 - comes with 3)They had tea and lemonade (complimentary?) wife got a Diet Coke and didn't see that on the receipt (mistake or drinks part of the meals?) Either way, we were very pleased with the food and service. If you see the truck, give em a try."
