"Try: Mama B's Famous Shrimp & Grits. Why: Grilled jumbo shrimp, smothered in andouille cream sauce over a bed of cheese grits. I liked the cream sauce and smother the shrimp in it. I got a side of Collared Greens, which hit the spot after a few years of not having it. The Bacon wrapped Chicken stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños with a side of Cajun cream sauce were good but I was hoping for more pop on flavor. I was pleasantly surprised with complimentary Chips & Bean Dip, which came out right after we ordered drinks. I washed everything down with a refreshing Alamo Ale.Notes: There was a 15 min wait around 7pm on a weekend even though we saw many open tables - they seemed short staffed and/or had reservations. We decided to eat at bar since there was no wait. Hostess and Bartender were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Overall, solid Cajun-Tex meal with friends."
"The brisket was tender and flavorful and red beans are exceptional. The restaurant is always clean with a welcoming atmosphere with great service!"

"I ordered from here for the first time and once again, YELP did not disappoint!! I got the shrimp and wings and wedge fries! The OG sauce was amazing!!! They were really know how to season their food!! Love this place!!"
"Went to pick up 2 king cakes (really good) and ended up ordering the whole menu. Was hosting a house shindig and April was gracious enough to provide more than enough food for around 30 guest. Huge pans of catfish, Cajun pasta, red beans and rice, jazzy grits, sautéed shrimp, chicken and sausage. The delivery was timely, pricing was very reasonable, the communication was easy and the food was great everyone loved everything and took leftovers home . Despite them being Saints fan (I'm a Bucs fan lol, I would absolutely highly recommend !!"
"Went on a Friday for brunch and service was exceptional! There were a lot of people but we got everything pretty quick! Our server was really nice and helpful. The place was nice and clean. Food is always great here! I've tried a variety of things and have never had a complaint. Definitely worth going to. Did want to point out that adding extra cheese to anything is $3!!! Definitely made my tab go up. Not worth $3 in my opinion."
"We happened upon this food truck at a bar in cibolo. We were thrilled to get greens. DELICIOUS!! Not sure if it's a permanent item But they were delicious. We ordered a to go to take home. We also ordered the red beans and rice. Another great choice. It's honestly been a bit since we've eaten there Can't wait to go back soon."
"Could not ask for better service from Matt. He was running around all over the place and helping multiple tables. His recommendation for the dirty rice was great. Great service from Matt!!!!!! We would return for his customer service."
"The half shell raw oysters were so delicious and fresh!!! My friend and I had literally 24! 2Dozen !!! of oysters!!! Service at the time we went ,kinda went right at closing time ,the man was pretty amazing! and we sat outside ONLY TWO PEOPLE! It was fun! totally recommend!"
"I found this place by typing in "soul food " ... YELP! This is definitely what my husband and I needed in our bellies. Ma graced us with her presence and wisdom. We felt right at home in Louisiana . If I had a bullhorn I would scream to everyone I know to go have a great ,stick to your stomach then grab a couch/bed meal ! from Ma Harper's Creole Kitchen. Sorry folks the aroma was so good that I didn't take pictures of the food. I will go back when I'm in town for sure for sure :)"
"This place is a little gem it isn't fancy - you get great food, hot and fresh! I love a nice catfish fillet - the batter was light and crispy, fish was well seasoned and not over cooked. Loved the hush puppies corn meal, celery and onion - crispy and hot! I paired my dinner with wonderful malt vinegar, creamy tarter, cocktail sauce and fresh lemons."
"Was pretty good. Quality worth coming to try. Dong know if I would come again but it was okay"

BB's Tex-Orleans delivers a solid Tex-Orleans experience with their shrimp and crab boil! The dish was generously seasoned with a perfect balance of spicy and buttery flavors. The portion size was incredible--our boil included two king crabs, two Dungeness crabs, a pound of shrimp, corn, potatoes, and a variety of veggies. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the flavors soaked into every bite. The ambiance was casual and relaxed, making it a great spot to unwind over a hearty meal. Service was prompt, with short wait times even during our visit. The staff kept things running smoothly, adding to the overall positive experience. For the quality, flavor, and generous portions, BB's Tex-Orleans is a spot I'd gladly visit again. Highly recommend it for seafood lovers looking for bold flavors in a laid-back setting!

I visited this To-Go place today. The food was pretty good. They do have a long wait so I would suggest you order at least 30 min ahead of your arrival. They also have outdoor seating that's nice when the weather and outdoor environment is good.

"This food truck is making the rounds in New Braunfels, Seguin, and especially its home base right next to the Marion Post office. These folks are from Beaumont and they sure no seafood. They have a very limited menu from fried shrimp and fish fillet plates to crawfish etouffee and award-winning seafood gumbo. They have won several regional gumbo championships at festivals and it was some of the best tasting seafood gumbo I've had and I'm from New Orleans. The fish and shrimp lacked Creole seasoning and even basic salt so I picked it up myself with my Tony chachere's which I always have with me. I have chicken and sausage gumbo or seafood gumbo. it was out of this world rich and delicious. It was super spicy with a very thick roux. There was plenty of shrimp sausage and even gumbo crabs in it.everyone in Marion is craving this gumbo there even ordering it. Marion needed something like this and I hope they stay for a long time. there in an empty parking lot where a taco truck has been for about the last two years. Everyone in marion is welcoming them including City officials."
"We decided to check out the new seafood place in Boerne. The decor is a little bland but typical for a family catfish/seafood place. We're from Mississippi and we have these all over and it reminds us a lot of home. I had the seafood platter and my wife and daughter just had the Catfish. It was all WONDERFUL!! The fried Shrimp was GREAT and I'm not a big shrimp guy, the boiled shrimp was the same, wonderful and perfectly seasoned. The catfish was excellent as well. Could have been a little more catfish on the seafood platter, but I was still STUFFED!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!"
"Crawfish tasted dirty and had lots of grass in the bag as well. The guy working and cleaning had great customer service, the other girl taking orders had 0 customer service skills. Better luck going somewhere else for good food and service"
"Took our friend here yesterday. She has never been here. It was too loud for her. It was a bit loud. We ordered a muffuletta and it was good. Not as good as the one we eat in New Orleans but good. Took a long time to get on a day that wasn't busy. Our waitress made up for the wait. She was very friendly and attentive."
"We had a reservation for 14 people. When are group arrived we were sat at 2 different tables. When we asked if the tables could be moved together we were told they didn't have space. I feel like if the tables were not together this is something that should have been stated at the time of the reservation obefore seating us. So we ended up with a reservation for 6 and 8. Not ideal. The music was a little loud for my taste but we could still have a conversation so it was acceptable. I was a little annoyed our waiter decided to rap along with the song while I was trying to put in my order. Had some issues with getting our food, ordered things that were forgotten. Our 2nd table didn't get their food til 20 minutes after our table did. Guess this was fine since we weren't seated together. Our meals came out and everything was prepared well and tasted pretty good. Ordered dessert, yeah they forgot all of the dessert orders so we canceled those. Would have like to have tried them too. Overall, not a great experience for our group. With the mishaps of the night. I would like to give this place another chance with a smaller group to see if the service improves and try more of the food."
"The service was great! Unfortunately, the food was lacking. I ordered small steak tenderloins. There were three of them and they all were overcooked. Even my mashed potatoes were greasy and dripping in oil. My spouse had the Diablo red fish and it was so salty and over spiced he could not finish it. The staff was really amazing. They tried to fix things as it happened but the night was lost to us and when the bill is over 200$ you expect to be able to rave about one thing"
"Earlier this week, we went to @smashincrab Stone Oak for dinner. Happy hour with food and drinks end at 6pm on weekdays.Dad and hubby had their flavored Lemonade, and I had the Signature Margarita on happy hour. Dad and hubby shared a bowl of Clam Chowder. Dad had the Cod Fish & Chips. Hubby had the Crawfish Etouffee. I had the Lobster Roll with Onion Rings instead of the cajun fries. There was much lobster on that roll. The food was pretty good and Jennifer was an attentive server. Overall, 5 stars."
"I'm usually not the type to enjoy in seafood boils, but if they were all as good as Surfing Crab, I think I'd indulge more often. I really enjoyed how fresh my seafood was, the seasoning, and the hearty portions for each item ordered. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but they've done a good job with the layout, the cleanliness, and even the semi-cheesy decor (#1). It's a place that is casual enough for a messy date night, group dining affair and extremely family friendlyThe spread of everything from clams to shrimp to crawfish and calamari is impressive. My favorite item would have to be the snow crabs and each leg was filled with copious amounts of meat. Even the crawfish was on point, even if it's not in season. Their non-boil items, such as the shrimp cocktail, fried shrimp, and oysters were also surprisingly good. I think if I'm to go back, I'll be ordering everything from their clams to even the spicy edamame.Service has their moments and I think the prices are about average for a place like this. Seafood isn't going to be cheap, but I wouldn't hesitate about coming back here to feast and preferably in a large group of hungry companions.____________(#1) Giant crab and Captain Jack Sparrow? Yes."
"Ok this might be a short review. I really like this spot. But I will be honest and say it might not be for everyone. Now what I have noticed and I love, EVERYONE is welcomed. Not only welcomed but treated kindly and friendly. I have been about 4 times and it's always been that way. You have music that is hip hop and R&B. So if that's not your cup of tea then this isn't the place for you. But this reminds me so much of places at home (Cali). Really chill spot where people play cards and dominoes. Laugh, dance and have a few drinks. This is a place that i will be back many many more times. I mean this place had great energy and a wonderful vibe. Like that they had the games on the big screen. Oh what I think is kind of funny but cool is that at the bar outside the seats are swings. Yes that's right swings. That is awesome. So if you like hip hop and R&B with a nice vibe. And you grown and sexy...this is the place for you. I might see you there if so says what's up."
"They are so friendly here. The food is delicious and fresh. We were only in town for the weekend and was so glad we found this place."
"Do you like boils? If so, this is your spot! Why?? They do boil COMBOS!!! Yaaaas! The few spots I went to either didn't have the utensils that are typically provided, they overcooked majority of the boil (corn, 2lbs shrimp), or they served everything à la carte which can become pricey and still not have everything you want included. Our server, Mya, was incredible and explained the menu and when we saw the combos, I was sold! They were unable to provide the sweet tea order due to some difficulties that occurred in the back, but it's ok... the food was on point! Mya was friendly, we were welcomed to ask questions, and all our needs were met. We ordered our app, steamed oysters with the hook and reel special blend. I wanted to make sure I set aside this blend to mix with some of the items in my boil. For the Reel Catch combo boil, we got garlic butter sauce... spicy. I was afraid but also felt a bit brave for trying something new. Lol No regrets; it pretty good! I would def try with the hook and reel special blend next time. Drool! We had enough left overs that would feed about 2 more people when we got home. Not being a big fruity drink fan, I still wanted to try the Cajun Candy thinking it would help simmer the spicy down. It was ok not sure if I'd spend $11 on that again. We were here early afternoon, so the place wasn't busy. It was nice that Mya made time to chat with us. We shared previous experiences with places that served similar food. It was great to hear and understand someone else's perspective! We will return! Recommended indeed!"
"Came to this food truck park and tried Sauce's. Ordered the red beans and rice and boudin link. The service was super friendly and fast. I loved the deep toasted roux flavor from the red beans and rice gravy/sauce /gumbo that coated the rice and sausage and boudin was very tasty also."
"This is a little mom and pop restaurant inside the Tex Stop gas station. Everything is made hot and fresh while you wait. Nothing is premade or sitting under a warmer . They serve large portions of food and everything is just fresh and amazing. This was my first time here and I definitely plan on going back and trying the shrimp Poboy. The cajun rice was extremely good and the fried catfish was fresh. The collard greens were very flavorful. The gumbo was extremely good , and the homemade peach cobbler was to die for."
"Just moved from Las Vegas and I must say I was very impressed. Jaime our waitress, made our first seafood boil find here such a fun and rememberable experience. Than you Jamie for the Boudin balls recommendation 10/10! definitely will be back."
"Best soul and Creole food since I left New Orleans.Fried boudin balls, handbreaded with remoulade sauce 4/$5. Fun fact: the lady here is the granddaughter of Ma Harpers, Creole Kitchen. They have an ongoing rivalry about who can cook best.I went to the new food truck Park on Austin Highway and all the trucks that have been there have been pretty good but this is absolutely the best truck that can be there. I do not know how she can pack so many items on her menu with that little bitty trailer. Everything has spice and flavor and is cooked to perfection. Look for this truck anywhere in town. You won't be sorry."
"Delicious creole /cajun food . I ordered the. Chicken and sausage gumbo and a lemon pepper wing plate .The food is made to order and hot when you receive it . Tia , Gramdma Honey, and Chef Uncle are the best !"
"Casual, great ambiance. Good music, good drinks. Close walk to Tesla supercharger (2 mins). I like sitting on the swing seats at the bar. No food here during the day, but you can bring in outside food. One of my go to spots whenever I'm in the area. Very relaxing!"
"I'm so happy they built a Smashing crab in the Alamo Ranch area. Anytime I don't feel like cooking, it's this spot for the win. Service is always on point with friendly staff and the wait is never long. I recently tried the Lobster Pasta and it's now my new fav"
