"Went during lunch time and their lunch menu options are great for $12. The Caesar salad has to be one of the best in San Antonio and the green chile chicken sandwich was sooooo good!! The service was great, we went with our pup, so happy to say they are a patio pet friendly restaurant. We sat outside and the climate was perfect for an outside lunch. The Brussels had a good crisp, but I personally prefer more of a honey siracha Brussels type. Lunch Menu is 11am-3pm. Happy hour begins at 3pm with their unbeatable 3pm: $3, 4pm: $4 and 5pm: $5."
"Late Post: Dined in for lunch on 12/07/2023I enjoyed my first dining experience at Wood Fire Grill & Bar. CUSTOMER SERVICE is absolutely SUPERB! I hate that I can't remember our server's name. The food was COOKED TO PERFECTION! Although it's a restaurant, it felt more to me like I was at home with my family eating good southern food! The AMBIENCE is the best. The restaurant was so CLEAN which is hard to come by nowadays. We didn't have to wait a long time to receive our food after ordering. MAJOR PLUS! I can't wait to eat here again, and I hope my experience is the same."

"Food was excellent. The bread selections they give you during brunch complimentary are awesome. Muffins, scones, cornbread. Whipped fruit butter. Service was good too. Prices are reasonable for the quality"
"This is an awesome experience for the kiddos! Ambience takes you back in time. The staff really keep the vibe exciting and fun! Birthday here birthday there... every where is a happy birthday song! I'd recommend for adults a burger and salad bar. There's face painting, balloons and a game room. My grandkids had a blast! Wonder which character we'll get next time???"
"Great food, VERY large servings, but very expensive. There's also an extra 2% fee for "Kitchen Love" added to every check. We've been here a couple of times. It's really good food. The serving sizes are VERY generous, but they can lower the prices by decreasing the serving sizes. Most of the people in here are taking half of their food to go. The prices are just ridiculous. The service is fantastic and friendly - no complaints there. However, it gets very noisy, especially on the weekends. It's not as bad for lunch on a weekday, but still kinda noisy. These prices are from the fall of 2023 and the spring of 2024:* Spicy Chicken Salad - OMG, the chicken is like crack. So moist and spicy. ($16.99)* Omelet - The eggs are kinda dry and lacking cheese. When the waitress asked how things were, we told her. The manager comped half off the price. ($14.99)* Single Pancake - Comes with compote and almond slices. ($8.99)* Shiner Bock Draft - $7 before 3 pm on a Monday.* Iced Tea - $3.49 on a Monday before 3 pm.* Side of Toast - $2.99.I was surprised with an extra charge on my bill. It was labeled "kitchen love." It was 2% of the total check. This might sound like a small cost, but it's not cool when you are surprised with this added cost. When I asked what the "kitchen love" fee was, the waitress told me it was for the staff in the back kitchen. She offered to remove it, and I said yes. (Kitchen love is 2%)The bottom line is that they have great food, and great service, but the prices are just insane."
"The chicken was delicious! The moment you walk in, you're hit with the delectable aroma and your mouth starts watering. I got the quarter chicken and the camp fries. Both were delicious, but I overshot how many potatoes I could eat because the chicken already came with potatoes. I wish I had gotten the Brussels because they looked so good. The staff were a bit standoffish. We were some of the first customers of the day so maybe they hadn't gotten into service-mode yet, but they were helpful and did everything they were supposed to."
"My husband and I have been to Paesanos several times, but we recently went to check out happy hour. We especially appreciated that all of the drinks are made with fresh ingredients and house made syrups. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed talking with the friendly bartender, Claire. The bar area is small, but cozy. It's a great spot for happy hour appetizers and drinks."
"I can't say enough good things about this place! Wow the vibe was intimate but still so fun and the food was too reasonably priced bc it's so much for the price and the flavor wow. Im ofc Hispanic lived in Mexico for a while and I go back and forth and for me to praise mariscos in SA oof. The service is great! Fernando was an excellent server, super efficient, friendly and informative. Please give it a try but head the warning that if the server says it's spicy it's actually spicy!"
"Paesanos is one of my favorite places to eat at in SA. This location offers lots of seating. With a n option to be seated indoors, outdoors or in between in what I like to call the sun room. The sourdough bread and hummus are one of my many things which Jew me coming back. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but my Persia l favorites are the chicken Parmesan and shrimp paesano. The servers are super helpful when it comes to ordering and also come by frequently for refills. I always leave here satisfied."
"We've been gone for several years and moving back we kept seeing posts that Texas Pride was no longer good and had completely changed. Let me tell you this couldn't be further from the truth and the food was excellent, service was fast and the atmosphere screams Texas BBQ. Don't listen to the haters, this is the best BBQ in the area. Brisket is tender and moist, Turkey flavor is excellent, and the peach cobbler is to die for! If you want authentic Texas BBQ, this is it!!!!!"
"Parking in the back of restaurant. Got seated right away, order Ed specials of menudo and barbacoa taco and soda. . Waiter was very nice and attentive."
"Anchor Bar is an awesome spot! Denise was an incredible server--attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The pickle hot wings were absolutely delicious, with just the right kick of flavor. They're a must-try! The atmosphere is perfect for watching sports, with plenty of screens and a lively vibe. Whether you're there for the food, the drinks, or to catch a game, Anchor Bar delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend it!"

This place is so good! We came here during lunch and they had a really great lunch special menu. We absolute loved all the food. We started with the artichoke dip and we got the $12 dollar lunch special fish and chips. It was a generous basket and the fish was so crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. I loved it. Our waiter Tommy was so nice, we enjoyed his recommendations. It was not busy when we went but they do take reservations. I like it felt like a very relaxed place to come eat.

Here from California and staying at a hotel that does not have a restaurant. I ordered the American burger, Jalapeno Mac n cheese, with a side salad and had it delivered to my hotel. The burger was perfect medium, with crispy THICK bacon, mayo and the rest is history. It was a big burger! The Mac and cheese had the perfect amount of heat topped with a side salad, because why not?! I'm satisfied and thankful that my first experience in TX was a great one. Cheers!

While it's on the pricier side, the personalized attention and overall experience make it well worth it. The outdoor patio is especially awesome in the spring. It's hard to believe I've lived here all my life and have never been!I had the Redfish Pontchartrain, and it was a pleasant surprise. The subtle, sweet cinnamon flavor was unexpected but really nice, and they're generous with the lump crab on top, which is a big plus. For dessert, don't miss the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It's absolutely amazing! The interior is also thoughtfully done. It's not too loud, making it perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

Ooof ! The food was horrible. The only things we enjoyed were the salad and bread, which both are hard to mess up. You definitely come here for the experience. It's super cute inside and the servers are silly and definitely work hard. Would I come back? No , but it was forsure fun for my daughter's birthday.Oh also there was face painting and it was $18!!!!! Which is absolutely crazy! You'd think Picasso was painting faces for god sake. Horrible !

I had the Latke with Chicken brunch item with the plant based chicken! It was super good with a unique flavor profile. I appreciate the vegetarian option to try something I usually could not eat! The atmosphere in The Hayden is so cute too! A bit loud, but fun with a group!

I've always driven past this place not knowing what it was, but I'm glad to have stopped by!Camp Outpost has a wonderful atmosphere once you enter the building. Everything has a modern feel to it and is very kempt. I enjoyed the wood and metal decor that is around the restaurant.Being it was our first time at Camp Outpost, the cashier was very helpful to us in explaining the menu and giving recommendations on what to order. I ended up getting the Camp Burger with a side of Street Corn and my girlfriend ordered the Blackened Fish Tacos. Both items were very tasty and I enjoyed the presentation of the food. Their sweet tea was exceptional as well. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this restaurant was the taste of their water; it tasted like it was unfiltered and straight out of a dirty tap. They also allow dogs into the establishment. We observed many people bring in their pets (leashed and unleashed) without issue. This place is a bit expensive if you're dining in for two, but the food and experience sort of balances it out. Would recommend!

Paesanos is a local favorite with classic Italian american dishes that are consistent no matter which location you visit.Last week I decided to check out their Lincoln Heights location which is a little smaller compared to others. Their menu is absolutely the same, but I came during lunch hour and they had some pretty amazing specials. For my visit I ordered their chicken parmesan with fettuccine alfredo since it was recommended by our server. Frankly, I don't think it was anything out of this world, but it was a solid meal at a very decent price. However, the reason why I would come back it is not the food but the staff working there. Service is definitely five stars and everyone working there is very attentive and you can tell they care about your experience. Overall, if you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, this is not it. But if you are looking for just a good time and a hearty meal, then definitely check them out.

It's been a while since we've been to @costapacificasa. Thought we'd visit during all day happy hour Mondays.Dad had the Fresh Lemonade, my husband had the Mango Margarita with tajin, and I had the regular Mango Margarita. I got Dad Nana's Soup, but he didn't care for it much. We had the Rib Eye Carpaccio and Mango Ceviche to share. I forgot to ask Alejandra to skip the serrano peppers on the carpaccio. Dad loved the ceviche! Dad and I shared the Coconut Shrimp. My husband had the Tampiqueno Costa. Alejandra lit up the complimentary cake for Dad's early birthday! Very full tummy! If you haven't been to @costapacificasa, stop by soon!

"My friend and I were craving crawfish and decided to eat them before the harvest season is over. It was a bit of long drive for us, but we were satisfied with crawfish and glad to come here. I chose the original sauce. It was perfect. My friend ordered "unique", but it was too salty for her, but the waitress helped her nicely and she got new sauce, which was "garlic and butter ". She liked her second sauce a lot. Especially she enjoyed her additional noodles in the sauce. My friend was saying that this is the best place to eat crawfish in town, and I agreed. We also enjoyed happy hour menu; calamari and beer. There are lots of tables and it seems like they can easily serve a large family. Our waitress was very attentive and caring. Next time I'd like to try crab, shrimp and scallops. And of course I'll be back for crawfish when it's season!"
"A staple of San Antonio for nearly a half century, Pico De Gallo is a great spot to entertain family and friends. I went there yesterday to celebrate my birthday and Pico De Gallo didn't disappoint. Our waitress was fantastic. Our food was great and there were no complaints all around."
"Been here a few times. It never disappoints. The Matzo Ball soup is the best I've ever had. Staff is super cool. Food is good. Atmosphere is chill. Half price burger night on Tuesdays. Plus they quote Seinfeld on the menu. This place is legit. Give them a try...great neighborhood gem."
"Top three best burgers in town and great local atmosphere. One of my happy places in SA."
"I was scouting out a restaurant for a business event, so my husband and I dropped in for a bite. The wine and food were good and the service was on point. We did have our event at the restaurant a few weeks later. Everyone enjoyed the food and had a wonderful time. The menu was prefixe by our choice the kitchen was very flexible and helpful in working with our budget. The staff took really good care of us. We would definitely come again!"
"After driving by Obrien's for three years, I finally decided to eat here and it has Hill Country charm and southern menu. I had the Haddock fish plate with sautéed spinach, a glass of Chardonnay with wonderful company from a life-long friend. She's been suggesting we meet here for lunch or dinner as it's a mid-location between Boerne and Bulverde, in Bergheim, Tx.A local said that we had to try the Chicken fried steak, so I guess I'll be stopping in again."
"Very good atmosphere, the bartenders are all super friendly, attentive, and fun! They have special events often if you follow their social media. They do offer food as well :)"
"After checking into the hotel, we stopped for dinner in the hotel restaurant. We were one of two parties there when we arrived, and we opted to sit at a table rather than the bar. Maybe mistake 1. We weren't sure if we were even supposed to be in the table after a while because no one greeted us or brought us menus for an uncomfortably long time. When she did arrive, our server was friendly... when she was around. She would disappear for really long chunks of time, to the point we weren't sure that she went on break. We ordered our drinks, but unfortunately before the bartender got a chance to make them, some friends of hers came in and sat down at the bar. She immediately started to help them, and then eventually, after they had chatted, caught up, discussed which cocktails they wanted, she made them and they had a chance to sip them for a bit did she decide to finally make ours - which we had ordered before they sat down. Our food came and it was wrong, but my friend didn't even bother to speak up about it because the server took so long to do anything that it didn't seem worth it.In fairness, the food and drinks were actually good. I had the Yellow Rose Martini (since we were in the Emily Morgan, after all), and it was very good, even better than I had expected. I also had the Caesar salad, which had a unique ancho Caesar dressing that was really good, as well as sun dried tomatoes on the salad. It was one of the better Caesars I've had in my time. My friend had a chicken BLT, which came on a really thick brioche roll instead of toast, but other than having the wrong side, she seemed to enjoy it. We both agreed the food was good, but the service made us not ever want to come back."
"One of my fave Tex-mex spots and I've been visiting since around 2007! The best chicken flautas you could ask for and they're HUGE. They have great breakfast and lunch specials, too keeping their menu super affordable all these years. Cozy but clean, friendly staff, super speedy service. I'll call to order lunch to go every note and then and it's always ready within like ten minutes."
"Great foodGreat drinksGreat atmosphere!!!!The inside and the patio are so tastefully done!We will certainly be back!!"
"What can I say---Awesome hamburgers, good people and an out side area where you can bring your dog!"
"(more 3.5 stars, but I prefer to round up)Situated in a shopping center off of Bulverde Green & TPC Parkway is one of the very few bars in the area. That alone deserves kudos because it really is a missed opportunity for this part of town. The drink pricing is really good and the staff is quite friendly here. Definitely more of a whole in the wall, laid back vibe. They have a few games like darts, giant jenga, and pool to name a few.You can definitely tell this bar has a loyal crowd but if it it's your first time they are more than welcoming.Overall if you're in the area for a drink swing by but it's not necessary a drive across town for.Bonus- They're right next door to Los Balitos Taco Shop which is open 24 hours. #winning"
"Nice hotel and the scent as you enter is intoxicating. I went early afternoon on a Sunday and no wait time for the bar area. I sat inside next to the bar. It was too hot to be outside even with fans on. Their happy hour drink menu is quite good. Their la villita margarita was superb. I had their burrata and it was fantastic and original with their red chili glaze. I would definitely come back for it. Their grilled chicken club was ok. Bacon was thick and tough and their chicken was chewy. It was overcooked. I would try other menu items next time I'm back."
"We had a great time at this bar! We had a $100 credit to use at the resort and we used it here! Jasper was our bartender and he was amazing! He made an amazing old fashioned and a French 75 (with cognac)! It was so good, this bar was laid back but still fancy at the same time- no dress code, and a good amount of seating, but we sat at the bar and had a great time! The bar opened at 5pm I think and closed around 10pm (or maybe midnight lol) not sure"
"I went here by default, everything else was packed. It was a Monday night and I was also drawn to the NFL games being shown on the monitors. On the plus side, the AC is strong, so this is a great place to go on any hot day, or night. The chips and salsa were also REALLY good. I had the steak fajita, which was good, but the meat was a little stringy. The service was just OK, sorry to say Leceit, but you seemed a bit overwhelmed. This place is good for a quick drink as you stroll along the river walk."
"Fantastic! Must try. I would fly here from NYC just for this pizza. I'm not a writer. Go to VIA313. Thank you"
"An authentic reggae bar that's San Antonio's Little Jamaica! This place is legit. They blast the reggae, and it has a real reggae vibe to it. Irie! Beer prices start at $4, and they serve authentic Red Stripe. Hooray Beer! When I went, I showed up on a full moon, and didn't feel exactly welcome inside. But hanging out back, there was a kicking band, and a covered area to stay out of the sun, or chill on the patio. There was plenty of parking behind the other buildings next to the place. If you're into reggae, this is probably the best place on this side of town. They're across the street from Jamaica Jamaica, an incredible restaurant. It's great that there's a little piece of Kingston right here in San Antonio!"
"This place is pretty cool!! Small and may get crowded easily on weekends. The bill can rack up fast with the pizza toppings, so BE READY FOR THAT! But drinks are very flavorful and the beers on tap are diverse! Happy Hour is worth a mention!! Don't forget to visit the speakeasy......"
"I'd been searching for this restaurant for a while. It was one of those we stumbled upon while staying on the Riverwalk years back, and I just couldn't remember the name. I'm so glad I found it after a recent stay in the city. I wanted to seafood enchiladas. They are so hard to find and I remember this place having really good ones, so you already know what I ordered. They are filled with both shrimp and crab, and they didn't disappoint this go around either. I was told the sauce is house made, and it's perfect on top of these enchiladas. Rice and Beans were good as well. I don't know how I missed getting a photo... blame my hunger (and greed)! My only gripe is you have to pay for chips and salsa (Huge BOO), but they were good. Overall prices are good compared to other restaurants in the area and yeah, I'll be back."
"My friend and I visited here for her birthday, and we had a really great experience. We had great, attentive service with a friendly server who made tableside guac to perfection. And there was so much of it! We were able to make a meal out of queso, guac, and chips between the two of us. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. The Mexican martini was really really excellent - highly recommended. We had a lovely table right on the sidewalk with a lovely view of the Riverwalk. It was a pleasant lunch experience all around."
"Wow did we have a good time at Mash D. Top notch service from everyone in the place. We sat at the end of the bar so we interacted with almost everyone. The food was good, we had fried pepperoni (tasted fantastic) and a "Detroit style Pizza". Now I am from Detroit and once worked at one of the three founding places for Detroit style pizza and was a personal friend of the founder of the next generation Detroit style pizzas (Jets). The pizza was good, the dough was somewhat fluffier than the originals but very tasty. The restaurant itself was very nice, clean, well laid out with inflator and outdoor seating. Well done Mashed D, well done indeed."
"Okay, so my return here was a better experience than my visit 2+ years ago. I popped in for a quick bite as I was in the area--just got appetizers and drinks. I usually may never have space in my tummy for dessert but this time I did. This was the best cheesecake I've had in a really long time--I typically do not care cheesecake . The snapper throats name is deceiving as it's actually the snapper cheeks/side of its face but I guess haha. The fish was tender and deep-fried without being greasy. They let the natural taste of snapper shine through as there wasn't heavy seasoning or salt which is great. The calamari dipping sauce was a nice curry which is the usual sauce pairing you would think of but it works! The ambiance was lowlight moody and rustic vibes."
