"Before I even landed in San Antonio, someone had highly recommended me to come here. Boy am I glad that I did ! We got their special that day, which was the brisket burger. It was divinely delicious! Even my friend who is picky with her bbq meat thought it tasted good !Even though on Yelp it says it closes at 4, but actually they will close when they run out of food.By the time we got there, around 1:30 ish, they ran out of sausages and the chicharrones that goes on top of the mac and cheese (which I was really sad about..). The guy on the counter was super nice and friendly. He gave us two sample turkey smoked meat for free since we said we wanted to try that!Although there was no chicharrones on top of the mac and cheese, it still tasted fabulous! If I ever visit San Antonio again,I will definitely come back here !!"
"We've had B-Daddy's before when their truck came to our neighborhood, but decided to visit their restaurant in Helotes. It was lunchtime on a Friday and they had a full house, but the line moved really quick. My husband and I both got the 3-Meat Plate. Between the two of us, we had ribs, brisket, sausage, chicken, Mac and cheese, cream corn, and potato salad. The meats were tender and the Mac and cheese was pretty good as well. My husband thought the chicken was too smoky but I kinda liked that about it.Overall, a pretty solid bbq spot if you're on the NW or W side of town. Can't say that rivals any other bbq place downtown or in Austin, but it's good bbq."

"The brisket was tender and flavorful and red beans are exceptional. The restaurant is always clean with a welcoming atmosphere with great service!"
"Texas BBQ is superior to all other Q. Not a single ketchup based item in sight! Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que does it right and the sides were equally superior. The staff was first rate. #rushieeats"
"It's pretty decent! We've driven by a lot and finally decided to go here versus our usual BBQ spot. I wasn't disappointed but I also wasn't thrilled. They just didn't have what I was looking for but every BBQ place is so different. Meats were good, not any sides I really like other than cole slaw which is a personal problem, not theirs.Overall it was good but I couldn't say I'd be dying to go back. It's a super cute spot though. Tons of space both indoor and outdoor! Staff are super friendly and they definitely understand great service. Again, just a preference in offerings that didn't hit the mark for me."
"I had an incredible experience at L&L Hawaiian BBQ! The service was amazing, and the food was truly phenomenal. Everything I tried was great but the shrimp really stood out, it was so flavorful!I loved it so much that I actually started cooking Hawaiian food at home because it's a bit of a drive for me. But if you're in the area, DO NOT MISS THIS SPOT!Literally, my only complaint is that it's too far from me. Otherwise, everything was a 10/10. The service, atmosphere, and food all combined to make me feel like I was actually in Hawaii!"
"Everything was so good but packed a spice that we weren't prepared for lol. I came in for pick up and the staff were welcoming. We'll definitely be back to try more. Not pictured is the curried corn."
"First time coming to this little spot after doctor appointment. We ordered dolsot bimbimbap and galbitang soup. First time trying galbitang soup. It was very delicious!! We'll be back.Update: second visit. The best bulgogi in town! Will be back for the Galbi next time."
"I don't usually eat Texas barbecue but when in Texas I have to and let me tell you Black's Barbecue did not disappoint! We got the fatty beef brisket, jalapeno-cheese sausage and pork spare ribs to share. Everything was soo tender, juicy and just so good! For sides we got the potato salad, mac and cheese and cream corn. The sides went perfectly with the meat. I also love how you can grab your own onions, pickles and bread because I'm an onion girlie and need a whole lot haha. The workers were very welcoming and friendly and it's a big place with a nice and chill vibe. I know there's many barbecue places here in Texas but I think Black's Barbeque is definitely worth a try!"
"Well damn where have I been !!Got the brisket bbq baked potato and WOW !Great taste Great polite service Cool rustic feel to the place Come and get it !!"
"We were in the area and decided to use Yelp to find some good food when we came across raving reviews of this BBQ place. We opted for takeout here, which honestly felt like the only choice. They have a drive-in setup like Sonic, but you still have to grab your food from inside to eat in the car. So, we took our meal home. The cashier was really nice and patient with us. We ordered two loaded potatoes topped with brisket and a side of ribs. The potatoes were delicious, but they were missing the sour cream and chives I'm used to--just a little something that would have made them perfect for me. The ribs were tasty and definitely fall-off-the-bone tender, though the rub felt dry and was a bit different from what I'm used to. Still good overall. As many reviews mentioned, the entrance is a bit dingy, which made me a bit wary walking in. Customers can't see past the cashier counter, but I checked the health ratings and inspections, and they were excellent past and recent. Maybe they're saving money on appearance. Regardless, I'm not worried about it based on inspection results and definitely plan to return to try more menu items--or especially when I get a craving for a loaded baked potato!"
"We've been gone for several years and moving back we kept seeing posts that Texas Pride was no longer good and had completely changed. Let me tell you this couldn't be further from the truth and the food was excellent, service was fast and the atmosphere screams Texas BBQ. Don't listen to the haters, this is the best BBQ in the area. Brisket is tender and moist, Turkey flavor is excellent, and the peach cobbler is to die for! If you want authentic Texas BBQ, this is it!!!!!"

OMG!!! We saw this place on a YouTube and had to try it out!!! I'm so glad we did!!! The brisket was to die for!! So juicy no need for BBQ sauce!!!!! And the sides!!!! Don't even get me started on their street corn!!!We ordered the medium family pack and it feeds form 5-6 ppl! They do not skim when packing your plate!! There was definitely leftovers!!!! When your order the medium family pack you get 5 sides, we got the beans, street corn, Mac and cheese, and sweet coleslaw.I normally don't eat coleslaw but the coleslaw here was just wow! It was sweet and had such great flavor I could eat it alone as a meal! Maybe I can ask for the recipe..?lolThey open at 11 on Sunday and they stay open till 4 or when they are out of BBQ.We arrived at 10:20 and got in line. Definitely recommend to get there early because the line does get long. I will say you get your food super fast. They definitely have a rhythm going that makes the line keep moving. The staff was great and you can definitely see the owners. They have a small seating inside. Most seating is outside. 10/10 recommend! Can't wait to go back!!

Mixed feelings about this one. The customer service was 10 out of 10. I received a clear breakdown of how everything worked and the staff was so friendly. I had the brisket, green beans and Mac and cheese. The brisket was so tender! I really enjoyed it. The reason for my 3 stars was everything else. The sides were extremely salty, to the point I couldn't finish them at all. The barbecue sauce tasted primarily of vinegar and had a very watery consistency. I'm not sure if the sides were just salty that day as a result of who made them or if it's the norm. I'd be willing to try again when I'm back in the area.

PLEASE NOTE: If I had the option of giving unlimited infinity stars, I would!! I literally have ZERO complaints. This is my Granddaughter's favorite place to eat (play). We decided we would have her birthday party here. She was turning 4. At first we opted for the party room inside. That was booked at the time we needed so we decided on the back patio by the play area. I called and spoke to Brittney in the catering department. She was very professional over the phone and via email. She assured us there would be heaters on outside. I placed my order, paid for the food, ordered the cake (not from BBBQ) and sent the invites. The closer it got to the event my other twin granddaughters, 8 mos. caught colds the week leading up to the party and my daughter suggested they just stay home, but this was not an option as they were starting to feel better, plus my daughter would miss her nieces party and I couldn't have that. I called Brittney the day before the party and asked if there was any way we could just have some tables inside the restaurant due to the weather. She didn't even hesitate. She said she would call the store and see if they would be able to accommodate. I told her I would be happy with 2-3 tables as they were larger tables, even tho I knew it may not be enough space we would manage, as I wasn't trying to be difficult and I know they don't normally do parties inside the dining area. Of course the manager said yes and we were all set. Fast forward to Friday the 21st, evening of the party. It was to start at 7pm but I decided to arrive 30 minutes early and to my relief, they had us a small cake table, and 5 large tables!!!! All my stress just melted away as I walked in and saw that... not only did we have plenty of space for the food and presents, but everyone was able to sit and hang out comfortably. And of course you always have those few stragglers that don't RSVP and we ended up with about 10 extra guests, so it worked out perfectly. The gentleman who usually comes and sings al the George Strait songs was there so that was a plus. The food came out exactly on time and we didn't have to lift a finger... Josh made sure he set everything up for us. The food was delicious and freshly made. They even made sure we had all of the sides. It's was just amazing! They really outdid themselves on the service end. The cashier was so sweet and so friendly when we went to get extras like the buckets of beer and drinks, water, etc. my granddaughter had an amazing time and I couldn't have been more thrilled. They never rushed us and everyone was able to have a wonderful timI will definitely be booking more parties here for sure.

So my sister and I decided to give L&L a shot. We called in our order and they were very friendly and welcoming on the phone. In the matter of 15 minutes our food was ready to go, so they were VERY quick and efficient. I would recommend this place if you're wanting to eat a quick bite on your break.I ordered the Loco Moco Plate and I would have to say the presentation of the food did not disappoint! Also, being this is the first time having Hawaiian food. As far as the taste, number one I would recommend that they would ease on the salt. I would say less salt is better than too much salt because we could always add if need be. So for those who may have health concerns with sodium intake may need to take caution. So overall, I'd have to say the service is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming, other than the salt it was pretty tasty, I highly recommend the macaroni salad!

10/10 every time!!! If you're wanting a warm, hearty meal then this is your spot! Everything is sooo good but my favorite is probably the brisket smokeshow. The brisket was seasoned perfectly and so tender. It's a relaxed environment, just order and the counter and they will deliver to your table. Parking is limited as it is on St. Mary's Strip but you may get lucky with the two spots in front. Otherwise, street parking will be it. Definitely recommend visiting!

"Will always love this place. Delicious every time. Get there early because they do run out of meat!!"
"Best BBQ in New Braunfels area- A Must-Try!We moved to the area seven months ago, eager to experience authentic Texas BBQ. Unfortunately, our experiences have mostly been disappointing, with places often serving BBQ that's too salty, dry, overpriced, or lacking in seasoning. We tried the 5 top-rated BBQ joints in New Braunfels area, but none compared to Bare Bull BBQ.Bare Bull BBQ is a true smokehouse! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of wood fire sets the tone for an amazing meal. The atmosphere is family-friendly and welcoming. We ordered the three-meat sampler, which included brisket, burnt ends, and chicken, while my husband opted for the brisket sandwich. Every bite was delicious--the meat was juicy with perfect bark marks. The sides were equally impressive, and the meal was perfectly finished with their banana pudding. What's more, the prices are incredibly reasonable--half the cost of Black's BBQ. Bare Bull BBQ has definitely earned our business, and we will be back!Photos doesn't do any justice, just go try it!"
"LOVE this bbq. The brisket, the ribs, and most of the sides are on point. Pro tip: Jalapeño/cheddar sausage isn't on the menu but they serve it until they run out. Try the sweet potato side and the mac n cheese. while the mac is a little peppery it's delicious."
"Solid BBQ, food 4-4.5, cool little place - outdoor seating with and without fans where you can sit and enjoy the breeze blowing in the trees and the iglesia next door; pretty interesting sides one of our kiddos was sad about the lack of mac BUT we tasted the mustard potato salad (super tart to wake up those tastebuds), rice (so gooood), tater tot casserole (yes please), borracho beans (delicious) and one child got the green bean tomato fancy salad which disappeared too quickly for me to get a bite! The BBQ was decent, flavorful - ribs only on wknds so missed out on those, brisket taco was yummy, the chicken was tender and well-seasoned, the sausage was decent. Bathrooms are in the bldg and you need to ask just FYI.What made this place a 5 for us was the service - super friendly, super helpful. We had some car troubles and they let us sit on the patio while we waited for a tow and helped us stay hydrated. Solid option."
"Don't be fooled by the building's exterior. Walk in,stand in line, place your order and then Dine on the best BBQ in SATX.The 2 meat platter is your best deal. The chopped brisket sandwich is stuffed between 2 slices of Texas toast. The sides were just as good but my stomach was full by the time I got to them.I suggest to arrive early or after the lunch crowd. The seating area is limited but I'm not here for a good seat. This BBQ "makes you want to slap yo momma"."
"This "Hole in the wall" place is frightfully close to our residence hence it was deemed to check it out. They are open only on Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 12:30 only.I tried their barbacoa and was pleasantly surprised! It it tasty and delightfully gooey, just like barbacoa suppose to be. This takeout joint is very spartan, but do not be disappointed withe the decor, which does not exist. The barbacoa is spectacular, although the condiments could use some improvements. Give them a try, you shall be satisfied!"
"After hearing about this place, I decided to take a shot...First of all, I dove right into the "All You Can Eat" deal - just to try a little of everything. The two stars of this show were: the ribs and the turkey! For the AYCE, don't expect Original Blacks-level, but if you're a BIG EATER it is a steal at just under $30!Next, the sides. My favorite has to be their green beans and pinto beans. So, delicious, so full of taste and just perfectly seasoned! Don't get me wrong, the other sides were good as well, but these two are my top pick and easily two of the best beans I've ever had! Service was excellent and staff were very friendly! I would offer the establishment a recommendation of perhaps a bit more seasoning on the brisket (although moisture and tenderness were on point!) and possibly two more varieties of bbq sauces to offer (maybe a mustard-based and a spicy??).Otherwise, a great place, great staff and a great deal overall! Next time, I'm trying the dino ribs...stay tuned!"
"Smoke Sky Bar offers a fantastic outdoor dining experience that perfectly blends delicious BBQ with a vibrant atmosphere. The spacious seating area provides a great backdrop for family outings or casual get-togethers with friends. The BBQ is the star of the menu, featuring tender meats that are expertly smoked to perfection. Each dish bursts with flavor, and the variety ensures there's something for everyone. The sides complement the mains beautifully, adding to the overall experience. The outdoor setting is lively and inviting, making it an ideal spot to unwind with drinks while enjoying good company. Whether you're there for a relaxed family meal or a fun night out with friends, Smoke Sky Bar delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great food in a welcoming atmosphere!"
"The food was excellent and the dill slaw some of the best I have had in a super long time! The drive up window makes it convenient to get something for supper after a long day and you don't feel like going in!"
"Food was fabulous easy ordering and it's seat yourself the person at the counter was very helpful and all the items I picked were tasty"
"Good I mean very good bbq chicken and great service Mesquite Smoked BBQ Plate - 2 Meats"
"Having been to all the great spots in Texas (Franklin's, Snows, Louis Mueller's, Micklethwait, Kreuz, Smitty's, etc.) I'll say that this is the only BBQ I've ever had in San Antonio that I feel could easily hold its own. I've waited a really really long time to say that. Before I talk about the food: Nelson's is a food truck. At least today, he was a one-man show so please adjust your mindset accordingly. It's not going to be fast. It might be a little disorganized. There's not an official place to wait or tables to sit at. All that being said, Nate was really friendly, made it a fun experience, and the food more than made up for any of the inconvenience. Now on to the food. My brisket today was incredible. The smoke and seasoning were subtle without overpowering the flavor of the meat. Unlike most San Antonio brisket, the fat was neatly trimmed and allowed us to enjoy the bark without chewing gobs of fat. The meat itself was tender and melted in my mouth. Really Franklins is the only comparison that comes to mind. Pulled pork was also good and I really enjoyed the sausage, which I believe was home made. We also tried the Mac and cheese and cornbread, which were both great. Everything I had today I would order again. I'm looking at my unopened cup of sauce and really feel that sums up how I feel about the BBQ. I think the saying comes from one of the Lockhart smoke houses: if you need sauce, they didn't do it right. I definitely didn't even think about sauce so Nelson did it right!Highly recommended!!"
"Came to Smokey Mo's for the first time last week.. I was very surprised at how great the food is.. came again the following week. Moist brisket, juicy chicken, tasty sausage and generous servings. My new go to place for BBQ."
"Well when in TX its OK to go to the Texas Roadhouse as it is one of my favorite restaurants!! I was on a girls trip in San Antonio with 3 of my Travcon friends & Ashley had a friend who we had plans to meet up here & have dinner with her. First, I must say our waitress was the BOMB!! Haley was her name & she was AWESOME & fun!! Super friendly with a great personality. She definitely loves working here & enjoys her job. We came in on 05/20/2024 around 8pm. I usually get the filet when I'm @ a Texas Roadhouse but went with the chicken critter dinner instead. It was very tasty. The chicken was nice & moist and not dried out which can happen @ restaurants. I got a loaded baked potato (a favorite) along with a soda water & tito's and vodka. The service was on point & the food was tasty. We all enjoyed our time here & had fun!!Thank you Haley for your outstanding service. Keep up the great work!!"
"We tried this place for the first time today and it was 10/10! From the atmosphere to the food, everything was spot on! The service was quick and the food was plentiful.Definitely recommend for an authentic pollo asada experience!"
"Visited this place for the first time on a Saturday. I guess the first red flag we should've seen was that the service was going to be really delayed was how long it took them to sit us. We were probably standing by the front door for a good 5 to 7 minutes, just waiting to be seated. Overall, it only appeared that they had two servers and a manager that was walking around helping.Once they finally sat down, it took a good 10 minutes before anyone even approached our table just to give us menus. Finally a couple of minutes later the server came and took our drink order. We ordered two waters and a sweet tea. The waters were given to us immediately. However, the tea took a good 15-20 minutes. Since we saw them were really behind, we decided to order food from the kitchen and I think that in general was a mistake. We waited for our food for a good 45 minutes. Mind you we also had a toddler so this was not the best place to be at with such a long waiting time. Finally leave the server came and told us that the kitchen was really behind, so it was gonna take a little bit longer, but no one ever came to give us an explanation as to why they were taking so long until way later. When the food finally came, it was very delicious. However, the only thing I didn't like about my plate was that some of the meat had a lot of fat. We ordered other food as well, but I honestly did not think about taking pictures because we were already really hungry. I think we got there around 6:15 and did not leave until around 8:45 or so. It's nice how they have the cook your own food style there. However, the smoke can get bothersome so if you have any issues with smoke, I would not recommend this place because there's so much of it. The space is decent however everything is just so tight, but it's very hard to feel comfortable. I think if you do want to give this restaurant a shot I would go during the week when it may not be so busy and hopefully the service is a little bit better."
"We arrived around 7 PM on a Friday evening and were told there would be a 45-minute wait, but surprisingly, we were seated in just 15 minutes--quick service! The restaurant started to get busy around 7:15, so it's definitely popular during peak hours. Our waitress, Lily, was amazing. She took the time to explain the menu, the different options, and how everything worked, making sure we felt comfortable. She was prompt, attentive, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We opted for the hot pot and BBQ combination for $32.99, with an extra $5 for both options (so, $37.99 dinner/weekend price). The food was incredible. We had the Kalbi and Bulgogi, and we cooked both to perfection. We also had the filet mignon, and it was just okay for me (I didn't care for the butter that came with it). The tonkatsu hot pot was flavorful, and the BBQ had a great variety of meats and seafood that were fresh and tasty.A little tip: don't forget to grab one of the vanilla ice cream cups from the fridge with mango mousse and mix it--absolute game changer!Overall, the experience was fantastic, from the food to the service. We'll definitely be back!"
"I love love love this place but I spend way too much money here. How do I do that when the prices are so very low you ask? Ummm because I order WAY too much because the prices are so low!!!! The food is absolutely fantastic. The naan is huge. The service is top notch and they'll explain everything to you. For sure give this place a try and you won't be disappointed! Just order a few things at a time though. The portions are large!"
"We passed this smokehouse and came back to try it as it was happy hour. We got the turkey legs and Ribs Okra and green beans, the turkey legs were so good and very big and tender. The green beans was not what I was expecting they tasted like can beans with good flavor broth. The Okra was hot and very good. The worst were the ribs they were hard and some areas were very tender but mostly tough. I was really hope that they were a wow but maybe next time or not. The lady at the register was so sweet and so was the other lady. The restroom was clean, but no running warm water. The restaurant was really busy so maybe we just got a very bad batch of Ribs. Well till next time hopefully"
"Now offering Bubble tea!Super nice service, always clean restaurant And meals are good portionIf you're looking for a taste of Hawaiian right in the hill country, this is a good option in New Braunfels. Parking can be a little tight but easy access and visible from the street. Hop on and off from the southbound side of the highway."
"MUNCHIES 10/10Everything I had was fresh and amazing! I couldn't even get pictures.I stopped by bcs I remembered hearing this place had 4 burgers and fries for 20$ but they no longer have that deal, but they still do offer 20$ family meals, we got the fish and it was amazing, crispy, juicy, not dry at all, the tartar is really good, and overall I enjoyed the fish allot. I ordered a burger for me and my dad to share just to try and I asked if they could half it and bring it out earlier than the fish and they did w no problem, comfortable local restaurant and great food and service, check them out if you're looking for a quick good bite."
"Super friendly and welcoming! The katsu chicken is moist and the batter they fry in is soo tasty and crispy! The plate was packed and plentiful. White rice, as simple as it is was great. Then finally that macaroni salad... yum! Don't take my words for it, you gotta try for yourself."
"Do not let the looks deceive you. Unpaved parking lot, small dining area, small condiment station, no clientele. As this place may be considered a "hole-in-the-wall,"it serves great BBQ at a reasonable price! Menu is kept simple and easy to understand. Food is delicious and flavorful. Service is awesome. I do recommend this place for a quick BBQ stop."
