"Great food! First time here. Tried a little of everything. The fried dumplings and honey cilantro wings were AMAZING. Spicy egg drop soup had some kick! Main meals: Szechuan beef and sesame chicken were the favs!"
"Food was amazing. The price is slightly higher then expected till you see you rolls. The rolls are bigger then other sushi restaurants. The flavor top notch. My son got the Orange chicken and the pieces were huge. It was my wife's birthday and she had a glass of the Sangria it was tasty. Our server took great care of us. The place was cozy. I can't wait to come back and try more sushi and maybe some ramen. This was a great birthday spot I can't wait to try more of the delicious food."

"I'm not sure how this restaurant isn't a 5 star or even close to it! We wanted to check out a new sushi place and stumbled upon this gem! The decor is quite amazing, elaborate, intricate and simply jaw dropping in my opinion. Their attention to detail on the design of this place and decor is astonishing. Modern Japanese aesthetic meets the Japanese empire. It always keeps you looking. Every time I come, I see something I hadn't seen before. The lady at the front always greets you and the servers are fantastic! They were quick, informative and precise. Our food came out so fast even though they were packed! Definitely a lunch spot if you are crunched for time! They provide you with complimentary salad with their house made ginger dressing and miso soup. The ginger dressing can be purchased if you really like it like we did!! The miso soup was great too and flavorful. We ordered the following:- Karai Ramen: yowza!! This soup is perfect on a cold, rainy day. Heck this soup is perfect for even the Texas summer heat! The broth is so flavorful, with just the right amount of spice that makes your throat burn but in a good spicy kind of way! You want to keep going back for more! It has ground pork, a hard boiled egg, ramen and bean sprouts. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked, not mushy but just the right texture. If your sick or if you just want a good spicy ramen soup, get this. You can't beat the price for the amount you get!! $10 and you can share between two people or keep it to yourself and take it home for left overs! With these high food prices, this definitely works on someone's budget! - Las Vegas Roll (deep fried): perfectly tempura'd, perfectly rolled, just the right amount of ingredients! You can get any sushi roll fried in tempura mix for $1.00! Again the price for the amount you get is right in point. - San Antonio Roll: of course you could get some at H-E-B, but these masters don't disappoint! They were rolled to perfection and the roll was quite hefty in terms of size! I get this every time I come here! Beautifully executed and plated with the right amount of sauces! - Texan roll (deep fried) : this was another hit! The wasabi tobiko cavier was very interesting but fun to eat! I've never had it before but it does have the wasabi flavor! Another dish we'd recommend! Again, I think the prices are reasonable with the amount you get! Definitely check this place out and their soups!!! Keep this one alive SA!!"
"Im so happy I found this place. It's small but cute, they have the freshest ingredients, varied and colorful toppings and dressings. Whatever combination your heart desires. The portions are generous and the prices are fair."
"Acceptable I feel is the best I can bestow upon Wok Inn. Having coworkers order this in for a training, it got the job done; that is I was not hungry afterwards but I also didn't feel overly full or gross. The flip side of it is, had I paid for this out of pocket, I would have been more so disappointed. Their website makes ordering a breeze (kudos them)! It's super streamlined and user friendly and delivery was quick. Our food arrived hot, ahead of the estimated wait time, and correct. I opted for the Cantonese Broccoli over whole grain rice with tofu and a side of egg drop soup. The portion was spot on for lunch, not too much but left me satiated. The tofu and broccoli were well coated in sauced and cooked nice but the sauce wasn't overly flavorful. The rice by itself bland but improved upon when mixed with the tofu and broccoli. The egg drop soup was a nuclear orange color, and mostly broth. There was a strand or two of egg floating in it but few and far between to be found. It not only was devoid of texture with no crispy noodles provided but also devoid of flavor. Suffice it to say I don't foresee me order from Wok Inn anytime soon especially if I am paying out of pocket rather than it being a work expense. It just didn't bring anything to the table other than I wasn't full afterwards and I can get that from almost any dining experience in the area."
"Super helpful and kind staff. I went in to just Pick up a menu and the lady up front was so nice! It smelled absolutely amazing; so much so; that I had to send my hubby back to pickup egg rolls for dinner. The eggrolls had a perfect ratio of meat to veggies, which is my fav! (I hate overly meaty eggrolls... these were perfectly balanced). The eggrolls were also cooked so well that they were still crispy when my hubby arrived home with them. I can't wait to try the Thai basil chicken when I have time to go in and enjoy a full meal there."
"I've had several deliveries from Quik Wok and it's always fast and efficient! They include everything you need: sauces, napkins, utensils, and fortune cookies. The food is good and a great value for the portion. All their entrees are DELISH and the egg rolls are very tasty with crunchy veggies inside. Keep up the GREAT work!! :)"
"Okay...don't be fooled by the fact that this place serves amazing tea and boba drinks...you must try the food! It is surprisingly flavorful, rich and bright with very large portions for the price. We had the Taiwanese rice middle bowl and Gua Bao and the Jasmine iced tea with lychee stars. Let me be clear when I say...every single thing was DELICIOUS! Go there now!"
"This nice hole in the wall makes the best noodle soups! My wife and I especially like the Braised Beef noodle soup with the handmade thin noodles. Amazing!!"
"What a delightfully whimsical spot for lunch or dinner! BQD has quickly become one of our favorite places to celebrate. We've eaten here for Valentine's Day, my birthday, and most recently New Year's Eve. Every time the food has been excellent and the service has been exceptional. Our go-to favorite dishes include their wok-fired green beans, cashew chicken, and fried rice. If the bougie egg rolls are on the menu, don't pass them up. Everything is served family style. That can be good and bad. My husband and I like to share meals but when we want to try several things it's just too expensive so we have to agree on a few things. The drinks are superb as well. They are fun concoctions that you might not think about. Every one that I've tried has been tasty and loaded. I love the whimsical decor inside an old house in the Pearl district. Be sure to check out the wallpaper in the bar area depicting different San Antonio sights and the bathroom wallpaper with naughty and cheeky Grecian poses. Generally the noise level is low and it's a great cozy spot for a date or romantic dinner or just an intimate meal with friends. When were be recently went for New Year's Eve, the music was a bit too loud for me. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating with lots of recommendations and knowledge of the restaurant and history. Don't miss this gem at the Pearl."
"The drink menu is excellent. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Gabriel our server was so helpful in directing us towards the food and drinks we'd most appreciate. The food is fresh and inventive and delicious every time. Wings, pork belly, and Susan fried rice are the best of their kind I've ever had. And every dish we've ever tried has been worthy of a return trip. The ambiance is next level. 50s Kitsch for days, yet also modern. It almost feels like a Quinton Tarantino movie set. The music is great and on theme. A bit loud for intimate conversation, but great for the casual party feel that the large community tables provide. (There are smaller tables and booths, as well)"
"Tokyo Cowboy is a delightful fusion of Southern and Japanese comfort food, offering a unique menu and an inviting atmosphere. We were looking for a place with delicious food and drinks, and this spot delivered. Located in a fantastic area, the restaurant combines upscale and classy vibes indoors with a tiki bar-inspired aesthetic outside. The drinks were designed with a tropical feelFrom the moment we walked in, the service was excellent. Although it wasn't very busy, we were promptly seated at the bar. The bartender was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging, making our experience even more enjoyable. I ordered the Yuzurita, a mix of tequila, yuzu, triple sec, and lime, and it was absolutely top-notch--perhaps the best drink I had during my trip through Texas. For our meal, my husband and I decided to sample three dishes. The brisket egg roll was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the tangy chili herb ranch dip with a slight kick. The crispy pork chop was well-cooked but a bit bland on its own; however, the apple-curry gravy elevated the dish with its rich, sweet flavor. The standout dish, though, was the Dashi Corn Waffle. The waffle had a perfect texture--crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Paired with shrimp, pork belly, and a flavorful Japanese BBQ sauce, it was an impeccable balance of sweet and savory.Although the menu is small, every dish we tried was well-crafted and delicious. The combination of amazing food, fantastic drinks, and a trendy yet welcoming atmosphere makes Tokyo Cowboy a must-visit in San Antonio. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique dining experience."

Came here last night because I was craving chinese food and this choose this place because it's nearby and they have good prices, and open late I got the sesame chicken with lo mein and my boyfriend got the lemon chicken. We also both added on the cheese rangoons and those were probably my favorite part of the whole meal I could have eaten like 10 of those alone. All around we both enjoyed both of our meals.Service was great! The girls at the register both were very nice and helpful. I didn't know what kind of drink to get so they gave me a drink to try the lavender green tea and omg was so good. A little bit sweet but still great.Ambiance was nice, I didn't eat inside I ordered to go so I didn't get to see the whole inside but front was nice:)

I met a friend for a small business lunch and she recommended Kai Sushi, she eats here fairly often. The first thing I noticed was that the tile entryway was filthy. I don't know if it always looks that way or if something happened earlier that day and that made it filthy. We sat at a booth and the upholstery was very worn, I think that may be why the lighting is so dim, you know to hide the worn furnishings. I had the lemon chicken and I have to say that it was pretty bland. Now I know that lemon chicken can be bland but the lemon sauce was equally bland. The fried rice was delicious, and the egg roll was pretty tasty. We were there at noon and only 3 or 4 tables were occupied. I'm guessing that says something. Our server was very polite, in fact everyone I met was polite. I always like to preface a poor review with "everyone has an off day and this may have been theirs" but I don't see myself returning here.

I'll start with the ambiance, very colorful and inviting, they start you off with a miso soup and salad, the salad is just romaine but the salad dressing is what makes it, miso dressing...the food was on point with great flavors and the staff is super friendly, great date night place

I had the chance to try Hula Poke today since I was craving Poke, and let me just say this quality of food does not disappoint! I ordered from DoorDash and this wouldn't be my first time trying this delicious place, I can say the food is well put together and super tasty!I usually get it delivered cause I'm a great distance away so I can't comment on the service but the food speaks for itself! You will not be disappointed to explore the exotic food here.I ordered a Poke Bowl which comes with customizable options that really make the ordering experience simple and easy! The flavors of the Crab Sticks & Salmon are so tasty and I would definitely recommend getting a variations of sauces to find your perfect preference! I also love the Takoyaki, it is a must try at this yummy restaurant. Only downside I would add is the hot cheetos I had in my bowl were a bit stale and my rice could've been a little more fresh but that's all I would have to say other than that you should really check out this lovely food.

What a great out-of-the-way Chinese restaurant to eat at. It's owners are Mexican that worked in Chinese restaurant so they give the Chinese food a bit of Mexican touch. Their portions are satisfying and their attention to detail is good. The restaurant has flatscreen's inside and is comfortable both at the booth and the tables. When we visited, there weren't many people in the restaurant as a matter fact we were the only ones and then our family came in later. This location is as I said out of the way, but the decoration and the attention given by the owners is excellent.

Literally my favorite Chinese spot ever. It's close by my work and they really pack in the food into your container. I always end up taking it home cause it's so much food! The rice is the best and the sweet and sour chicken is always crispy. And when I order delivery they're super fast.

Wow! I never would have guessed that Artea sold food! But boy do they! And it's great. Such a variety of dishes and stand out flavors. I would now consider them to be one of the best choices for Asian food. You order from the counter and they give you a buzzer for when your food is ready. Service is quick and friendly. The space is clean and comfortable. They had a 100 rating on the health department score . I had the bacon fried rice which was a bit bland at first but came alive with just a spot of soy sauce. Friends had the teriyaki chicken which was delish, potstickers , edamame and sushi which was all excellent! Now that I know that Artea is a full service restaurant and not just a boba tea spot, I'll be back for sure.

"This food truck came to our "food truck Friday" event at our neighborhood pool. WHOA. The flavors of each dish were incredible!! The guys working in the truck were very friendly and you could tell they were loving what they were doing! The egg rolls were better than any restaurant I've ever been too. The sweet chili sauce they served with it was delicious. We also had the kimchi fries which were pretty good. The steak on top was so tender and yummyOur favorite was the Korean chicken and southern fried rice which had bacon in it. I noticed the picture of the entree we received didn't look like the pictures they had on social media but it was so good. They told us we'd be receiving the last serving of it because they had run out.The sezchuan shrimp with udon noodles was loaded with flavor. We ordered it spicy. MMMMMMM. Would definitely order it again."
"Nice place in a strip mall. They have hot or cold dishes. They even have a low carb item for those watching their waistline. Friendly staff with a clean environment"
"even years later this is the only Thai restaurant I will ever go to around town. If you want authenticity, outstanding customer service, and amazing taste then you need to frequent Rice & Spicy. The Christmas season makes it more wonderful because they decorated inside and have Christmas music going. The family that owns this wonderfulrestaurant treats you like one of their own and even remembers their guest orders. I'm very pleased to see them gain popularity and new faces always dining in whenever u get a chance to visit."
"Located amongst several other eateries, this place is a must try. You order at then counter and pick a seat. Our order was prepared quickly. We started with the Spicy edamame which had good flavor. Drinks are prepared in a boba style cup, pretty small but I can't remember what "size" we ordered. They have drinks to go and some come in reusable bottles with screw on lids. We tried the ribeye fried rice and it was delicious. This is a $25 bowel but a large enough portion to take leftovers. Kids ate a California roll and a bowel ramen noodles, no complaints. High chairs and a changing table are available, restrooms were clean however there's only one per gender."
"I've been here a number of times and I can honestly say that this is not the typical Chinese food you find in most places. It's elevated and thoughtfully curated to be delicious. Normally, I don't like green beans, but it said on the menu that they were famous and after trying them, I can see why. I tried re-creating their green beans at home and just cannot do it. They are a must try for everybody. They offer family style portions as well so if you're going in a group, this will allow you to try multiple dishes, which is ideal because everything here is so good. Also, their cocktails are great so if you're looking for a nice cocktail alongside your meal, they have a nice selection."
"It was a bit of a challenge to find this spot, but glad we did! Located as part of the office building.Loved that there's outdoor seating too. I ordered the philly cheesesteak sandwich which was good portion and flavorful. My brother got the rib eye which he enjoyed too.We also enjoyed our Ube Latte and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It's near the airport so it would be a good quick stopover to grab a bite if you need to beat the SA traffic."
"I really like Gogi and will drive some way to come get it! I feel it has flavors of Korean and Mexican. Great portions and it's fast. Restaurant has seating, but it travels well. Highly recommend!"
"My first visit today. "J" was working and awesome at his job. I arrived after the lunch crowd and there were a few tables that needed bussed, but the place was clean and welcoming. "J" apologized for the dirty tables - truly there was no need for that because he was focusing on the to go orders and me and there were maybe 3 tables that needed cleaned. He was attentive and helpful my entire time there. I will go back when I'm in that area again."
"Great presentation, really good sushi considering that it's probably tough to get non-frozen seafood this far inland. The only reason I'm giving them a 4 is because of customer service. Server forgot to give me napkins and when I got up to grab them she just stared at me and didn't say anything. A little better service and this place could become one of my favorite spots in the area."
"Great, fun atmosphere, friendly staff. We sat inside since it was raining outside, but I think it worked out really great for us! Ceviche was definitely the highlight of our dinner and had a fresh flavor. All of the food was very unique"
"We stopped in to try the new place and highly saturated! Our waitresses were amazing, friendly and helpful! I got the Hakkasan Ramen with Cilantro and the hubby for the Texas Ramen (but I forgot a picture of his!). We had some Tempura shrimp, egg rolls, and lumpia along with a toffee coffee Boba. All delicious! We will definitely be back!"
"My food was absolutely fresh and delicious, it doesn't take long at all and was presented nicely! Highly recommend!"
"We're fairly new to the area. The girls asked for sushi and this place is literally up the street. We're temporarily housed at the Big Tex Flats, so it's about a 5-7min walk. I phoned in my order and they said it would take about 40min. Everything tasted good and fresh! All of the "hot foods" were still relatively warm by the time I got the food and made the mini trek back to the apartment. I appreciate that they kept the "spicy" sauce separate from the edamame, allowing me to control the spicy level and not get the edamame too soggy. We've had sushi up and down the east coast && I have to admit that we were VERY skeptical of sushi with goat cheese vice cream cheese (e.g., Philly roll). But it was surprisingly good and a much smoother& creamier bite. Both of my girls liked the Philly roll and liked that it had both avocado and cucumber. The same comment goes for their cheese wonton, which also used goat cheese. We really really enjoyed those. I was hoping for a chili vinaigrette based cucumber salad but this wasn't bad. In fact, I ate the entire container (in two sittings tho). Even the 6 y/o thought it was good. The edamame was okay - what you expect from edamame but could use a nice punch of salt. However, for those watching their sodium intake, this is a good way to serve it. So I added my own sea salt flakes. Everyone enjoyed the gyoza. Husband had the king crab roll. He didn't really voice any comments about it, but considering that he ate it all, I'll say it was a win win. I had the shrimp tempura roll. It was a pretty mild and basic roll but good. My eldest also had the volcano roll. I tried a piece and it was yum! Had a LOT going on lol but I guess that's the "volcano erupting." We spent about $100 on this meal. A bit pricier than back home (MD prices) but I'm also not complaining too much about it. It was a pretty solid meal. Sadly, we're moving up/over? to the northwest side. So I doubt that I'd go out of my way to come back here, but who knows? If I find myself back in Southtown and I'm craving sushi, I'd probably swing by here."
"Got delivery the other day. Smelled a little fishy at first, but I think that's only bc it sat outside for 10min or so I can't remember which drink I got, I think it was Taro something, but it was really really good!!!Got the 3 scoop protein, gave plenty of tuna Good portion, some ingredients were "heavier scoops" than others. I bet this would be best to go inside and order so you can tell them to add a shit ton of cucumbers Not a lot of great options for poke in NB, but luckily this spot is pretty fresh and will be my go to for poke!"
"We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! We always get the same thing. I personally can't get enough of the Shrimp Tepp!!!! My twin flame gets the Steak double fried rice. John is phenomenal. He's the funniest of the bunch. Thanks you HM!"
"If you like Asian meat pies be sure to give this food truck located in the parking lot of H‑E‑B Guilbeau a try! They are the sweetest people on the face of the earth and offer free samples if you ask. The purple rice drink was different than anything I've ever had and It was pretty good. Support a new local business and give this place a shot if you are in the area and in the mood for an Asian meat pie! Just look for the cute yellow truck."
"What a cool and cozy place! My wife and I had plans to visit for a while. The Jingu House was originally the residence of the Jingu family from Japan who created the amazing sunken gardens in Brackenridge Park. Its preservation and conversion to a restaurant had won awards and we were eager to see the results. They don't take reservations, but spur of the moment, we had time for a late lunch today and decided to go. The Japanese Gardens are incredible - but on a cold, drizzly afternoon, we ascended the winding ramp (my wife can't use steps) and went straight to the entry, turning our backs on tantalizing views of the gardens.. Turns out, this was the takeout door. Fortunately, I had seen photos of the dining room so I knew we we'd gone to the wrong entry. We ducked out and found the second door for the dining room. In spite of the confusion, the intimate space is wonderful, with views all around looking across the park. We sat at a comfortable table, well worth the climb up from the parking lot.Our waiter was personable - explaining the order & payment app while also taking our order. I've struggled with similar apps before, but this one was simple to use and made it easy to add to our order and eventually to pay and tip.I was a bit suspicious of the "Asian-Mexican fusion" food concept, but it worked! I really enjoyed my pork bao - with nopales. We had a nice plate of gyoza and my wife warmed up with yummy miso soup. I asked our waiter if the popularity of the gardens brought in big crowds. We were there with only a few others so small dining room never felt crowded. He said that was something they dealt with having outdoor seating in good weather, and there's also takeout. We did spend time admiring the gardens, but it's the food and atmosphere at the Jingu House that will bring us back."
"I had heard about this place and wanted to give it a try. When we pulled up to the parking lot it felt like Deja vu. Like I had been here before. And the truth is I had about 3 years ago but it was a completely different set up and vibe.I was pleasantly surprised to walk through the doors and see a complete refresh and new layout minus the bar. It was still in the same spot ;) The grand reopening was spot on.Super clean and fun inviting atmosphere and the first thing that caught my eye (along with my kiddos) was the space or subway cars delivering food on the tracks. We were quickly sat and our server was amazing. Constantly stopping by to check on us and the kids. Asking about any extra sauces or drink refills. The plates on the conveyor belt are color coded $2.95 for yellow $3.45 for pink and $4.25 for purple. My kids had a blast pulling rolls, fruit and desserts. To my surprise they tried a few new things out of the ordinary like the Mango stuffed Inari because it looked appetizing. The sushi chefs in the back are grinding because that belt always have new rolls and they were all fresh. We also ordered off the menu because my husband loves eel and the Eel Love roll was fantastic. After the meal depending on the number of plates you can receive a token to obtain a prize for every 10 plates. My kids got a free purple plate at our next visit and a cute golden wrapped sushi figurine. We'll be back again. The kids already asked if they can come back tomorrow"
"The rave reviews are accurate. We picked 4 items to share & all were delicious! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall. Ver unassuming. They do accept reservations via the Open Table app. We did not need them on a Thursday evening in January but we can definitely see how this place can get busy. From the hostess to the servers and chef, we had excellent service. The staff know the menu very well and can walk even the pickiest eater to a fabulous meal.Food is brought out as soon as it is ready in the kitchen. Our first dish was the sautéed green beans. Don't miss these. We ate the straight off the serving platter. Next came the salt & pepper shrimp along with a side of perfectly cooked rice. The shrimp were plump and flavorful. We also order the chicken spring rolls & shrimp/pork fried dumplings. Both came with a signature chili oil sauce. Our tip of the trip is to order some of their homemade garlic ginger soy sauce for dipping. It's delicious. We can't wait to come back and bring our tribe. We have so many more dishes to try."
"Wow I can't believe I've never been here. I don't live far either. I came across it online. Saw the menu and was blown away. Asian and Latin mix? What a beautiful combo. My husband is half Puerto Rican and when we saw Puerto Rican dishes on the menu we knew it was a must try. Threw me off that it was inside of a gas station but it's definitely a hidden gem. Everything was so tasty and the portions are hefty. We bought 2 orders of tostones thinking one wouldn't be enough but one order is definitely enough they are Huge. I make mine crispier but they were still good. The chicken and teriyaki with fried rice was so fulfilling. Again bigger than expected. The plantains were delightful and those Latin wontons...amazing. This place was a hit with the family. Will be a returning customer :)"
"The food and service was great, it is a new location so it's still not super busy but that's what made my first visit perfect! It is Japanese/Mexican so the menu isn't super traditional but that's what makes it amazing. I recommend the Marmol roll and they are very allergy friendly so no cross contamination and you can substitute the shellfish for fish 10/10 I will back!"
"1st time here came on a Saturday and it was dead. Food came out fast and food was really good. I love trying new teriyaki places and would definitely come back to try a different bowl"
"I am so impressed that the staff wanted us to take advantage of the Valentine's Day special. He had a Nepal beer and I had a Himalayan Shirley with Tito's. Get ready because it's a journey with a lot of food. Everything was lovely. The Nepal Achar reminded me of a better potato salad with no potato. Everything is very fragrant. The gulag Jamum was a cross between a donut hole and a hush puppy but way better. I couldn't even eat half it was so good. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow at work. The restaurant is clean and ready for large or small parties. You can watch sports on tv if you'd prefer. Great for date night!"
