Food is always served hot and fresh! One of the best places to get a great sandwich and baked potato in the hill country!Pies are always spot on and it's my favorite places to grab a bite when I'm in town! Service is great and my order is always accurate! Their soup is always spot on too!

Got a roast beef sandwich a take out. The dressing was overdone and the roast beef was so overshadowed. It was not enjoyable. For cost and quality not rated as I need to go back. Better sandwich places in town for price and quality

The brainstorm is huge and sooooo tasty. I also really enjoy their salads, they have good homemade ranch! Also highly recommend the broccoli cheese soup. Service is very polite and quick.

Great freshly made sandwiches and pies. Love their selection and portions. Try early in the day foe say old pie discount. Well worth it and do good. This is our new stop shop for bakery goida

I used to looove their sandwiches until I had to be gluten free. Then I asked if they had any gluten free bread and the girl said "um we have a potato"Very disappointed. I would literally do anything to have their sandwiches again... Hopefully they'll get with the times and add gluten free bread. Even if they don't make it themselves.

Awesome food and friendly atmosphere. Really good pies and desserts. Very quick kitchen.

I am genuinely surprised I have not reviewed this establishment before. I eat here routinely every time I want a great sandwich paired with an excellent soup and a slice of homemade pie. Have you ever been to a McAllister's? This place is a small town, improved, cousin of that model. You order, then find your seat. The bread is fresh baked and the soups rotate daily, but I have had yet to eat one I did not genuinely enjoy. Additionally, the price point is better than a chain which is wonderful. Just about as soon as you filled your drink and found your seat, soup is up. The potato is particularly good and having done it, you can get a quart at a time which tends to go fast. It's delicious. I routinely am still eating my soup when my sandwich is ready, it's that quick of a turn around. Even with speedy service, this place fills up fast. All sandwich options come with house chips - think ruffles. And the pies are a must for desert. Also you can buy a whole one to go if you're so inclined, and you should be. I take my soup loving dad here for lunch when he's in town and even paying for upwards of four people, have never broken 50 bucks. It's a delicious, affordable, staple of Kerville. Funny name, crazy good sandwich.

This is a great sandwich place with a very cool staff. The place feels like a country cafe where one has to order at the front, but they bring the food to the table. We sampled many sandwiches. They claim to have overstuffed sandwiches, which is true unless you get the Yankee, which has just enough pastrami to taste it. While it tasted good, if you like a lot of pastrami in your sandwich, don't get this one. The better choices are Bumdoodler's Brainstorm and the Godfather. My wife had the half chicken salad sandwich and a cup of split pea soup. The sandwich was tasty, but again, not overstuffed with chicken. The split pea soup was great. We will definitely come here again.

Service was average. Female counter person clearly was bored & could not have cared. Food was good. They ran out of potatoes. I had soup & potato (half).

The food was so so so good! I got a sandwich that was super fresh, made very quickly, and I could just tell the quality of everything from the meat to the bread was so fresh and tasty. The service was so amazing too, was helped by the sweetest most beautiful young woman who just lit up!
