We were staying nearby for a weekend on the Guadalupe, and stopped in for Saturday lunch. Bridget's Basket is a perfect locale if the weather is nice and you're looking for an outdoor bite with a view. Service was laid back but prompt enough to keep our drinks filled and food coming on time. They were very personable, sharing personal stories, asking where we were from, and overall made sure we had a nice visit. Pricing was about what you'd expect for eating at a pretty vineyard in the Hill Country. The lunch menu ranges from Appetizers around $7-$10, Salads $12-$16, and entrees $15-$20. Everything came out promptly and was delicious. I really enjoyed my smoked salmon croissant sandwich, and tried the Axis burger a friend ordered and was equally impressed. Beyond the restaurant, they provide a seasonal garden, a coffee house/gift shop, and it's all set inside a vineyard so there must be wine being made somewhere....if you're in the Hill Country and looking for a fun excursion, make sure to add Bridget's basket to the list.

We happened upon Brigette's by mistake. My husband wanted to see if it was a winery and it happened to be a delightful restaurant. (TIP-add signage for restaurant where drivers can see it). Brigette's is off the road in Hunt, and we were hiking at Lost Maples and as I said were curious and checked it out. It is lovely! We sat outside on the porch and there is a large deck area with lots of tables for a party or more diners. We both had a grain bowl with salmon and it was filling and delicious. Our wait staff were helpful and pleasant. There are gardens and flowers, and it is so relaxing and cheerful. They also have a coffee shop, but they don't have skim milk so we didn't get a drink. Their coffee shop website has pictures of scones and that was another reason we stopped, but it seems like scones are not usually served. Please remove them from the website. They look so delicious and I have been dreaming of those scones, lol. If I am ever in the area, I will return for a meal.

The grain bowl topped with salmon is possibly the best thing I've ever eaten! Staff is all super friendly. I just might have to come back and try out their coffee shop or catch them at happy hour before I leave town. Do yourself a favor and check out this place. Outdoor dining overlooks their farm. Pretty amazing ambiance on this beautiful afternoon.

Still great food and service! I had the Ham and Swiss cheese croissant with homemade chips. It was delicious. My husband had the Quiche and Potato Soup. He said it was so good and full of flavor. These people know how to do it right. My only Negative is the flies like the last reviewer mentioned. It's probably better to eat inside and then walk around and enjoy the grounds after your meal.

An absolute must! And worth the drive out to Ingram-HuntMy second visit wasn't as wonderful. We battled flies and gnats the entire meal. Just my opinion, but I think for the price, a little more service ought to be included. As it is, almost all table service is completely self serve. If you need or want something, you get up and get it. This includes ice, water, a refill on the ice tea, silverware, napkins, a to go box.....if you want it, you get up and go get it. So in order not to be continually disruptive to our conversation, I just did without. My omlette was only meh... not very flavorful. I told my Mom, for these prices, a little service ought to be included...at least a better system for dealing with flies and gnats. She said, this is what we pay at the club, about $25 per person. I said, but that comes with wait staff who refill water and ice tea, among other things. I was disappointed.

Just had lunch there with my husband. Was fantastic! The food, service and atmosphere were great! We sat outside and had a wonderful view. The marketplace has a variety of items with an awesome bakery. We will definitely be back. The young ladies waiting out table were very kind.

I enjoyed this charming place so much - though I am local, this was my first visit and the service and food was terrific. My server was anxious to please and I appreciated that. I ordered the Turkey Croissant and it was very good - the chipotle mayo really made it delicious Sweet potato fries were good too. There is a variety on the menu including healthy options like seared salmon and salads. I like that a carafe of ice water is placed on the table. There are many offerings I have yet to try and look forward to exploring the place more in future. I also visited the coffee/gift shop and bought some wonderful peanut brittle, and a lovely peach -jalapeno-balsamic jam that will be nice cooked on chicken or served on side, or maybe on top of cream cheese. The setting is so pretty and I felt like I was back at camp. (That is the best feeling as any girl knows who went to Summer camp!) This place also reminded me somewhat of the early days of the Peach Basket in Fredericksburg - not a huge menu, but all delicious, personal attention, and a friendly local feel. I will be back and If you have not been, get on out there - enjoy the pretty drive. It is only about 4.9 miles from Ingram so not a long way and it is a lovely way to go out for lunch. The trees were beautiful and I loved seeing the trees in their Fall colors, and my beloved Cypress trees - sticking their toes in the river. Check the website before you go, or call ahead, because they do close for private events and they take a Winter hiatus coming up very soon. I hear the coffee shop will be open Thurs, Fri and Sat from around 8 am - 3 pm. I plan to be there when I can for a Saturday morning respite - I already picked out a spot to sit outside with my coffee on mild days. We all get so busy with work and chores that we forget to go out and have some fun - have an adventure, enjoy our Earth in sunshine and rain, look around and be blessed by all that God has given.
