Brenner's on the River Walk

Brenner's on the River Walk is a beautiful spot with great views and a relaxing atmosphere. The greenery and riverfront location make it perfect for a special night out or a nice meal with friends or family. It feels upscale but not overwhelming, just the right balance of classy and comfortable.The food is excellent. Their steaks are cooked perfectly, and the sides and appetizers complement the meal well. I opted in for their miso gazed sea bass. Everything is high quality, and you can tell they take pride in their dishes. Be sure to save room for dessert--it's worth it.The service adds to the experience. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure you have everything you need. Whether for a celebration or just a nice dinner, Brenner's is a great choice on the River Walk.

Went there for Valentines evening with my wife. We were met with indifference by a waitress wearing a very short dress and an even shorter span of attention.We ordered a $70.00 steak a small appetizer and au gratin potatoes with a couple of glasses of wine only to receive a steak that was extremely over done, potatoes that were nearly charred black. The bill was over $200.00 and the waitress never asked if we were happy even once.I am not inclined to ever go back to such an uncaring place that only wants your money.

Arrived from the street access. Check in hostess down the stairs. Bar and piano river level. SERVICE variety of bread if wanted with two types of butter AMBIANCE one tv no audio did show the game big plus.horseshoe full bar. PIANO MUSICIAN singing and playing river levelAPPETIZER shrimp bang bang MAIN COURSE ny strip 8oz cooked to perfection and as asked. Salmon with tzatziki's dressing. Au gratin potatoes family style side. Mac and cheese twist noodles al dente family style. BEVERAGES - water sparkling still or spring or filterHATSOFF TO THE CHEF!Celeste is an amazing art her job!Manager Jonathan came over to check in on us. Very attentive.

Solid steak house choice on the riverwalk. Can't say its spectacular. Can't say it sucks. Streaks were a bit cold but not enough to send it back. Good selection of sides. Drinks are the good as well. You won't be dissapointed, but you won't be thrilled either.9

I checked this place out online and loved the photos. Very upscale relaxed vibe. Casual seems okay here from what I saw. The food was amazing and delicious and the only thing that went right. Service here was terrible. Waited for five minutes before the waiter showed up. When we finally got water it was warm no ice, gross. Ordered a bottle of wine. The waiter brought it out and then left with it. When he returned I assumed it had been opened. I soon realized he didn't even open the bottle of wine. Why am I opening my own bottle of wine at a high-end steakhouse?? Ordered the steak medium well, you can see how pink it is in the photo. The most annoying part was the waiter didn't even ask if the steak was cooked properly. I understand it can't always be perfect but at least pretend you care like it was cooked right. Waited for another 10 minutes just to get my check. Do not go here, save your money and go somewhere else. I spent $200 and could've gotten better service at Longhorn for half the cost.

This is a great restaurant nestled alongside the San Antonio River-walk. They have a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating; some right on the banks of the canal. We dined here last week (Dec 2024) and enjoyed the gorgeous views of the canal which was lit up with tons of colorful lights and holiday decor. We found the service to be decent and on par with other riverwalk restaurants: friendly and semi-attentive. The food was amazing. My wife and I decided to try their bisque, then split the Chilean Sea Bass and Filet Mignon and choose sides we both enjoy. Excellent dinner and no leftovers to take with us. Perfect serving size (for us). There are a few fine dining options in the area. We found this one to be perfect for our trip!

We loved this place. Been meaning to go back for brunch. We went for dinner during the week which was a slow night but still was very pleasant and they had live music. Service and food was fantastic.

Brenner's Steakhouse has a beautiful location on the Riverwalk, which adds a nice touch to the dining experience. The service was good, and the staff were attentive, which I appreciated. However, the food didn't live up to the expectations or the price point. The steak, in particular, was very disappointing given the cost--it lacked the flavor and quality you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse. While the ambiance is lovely, there are definitely better options in San Antonio for a great steak.

Perfect and amazing! The location, the food, the ambience, the people, everything came together for a very special meal for a very special lady.Could not have been happier with the food and the quality. It was a very peaceful and celebrated evening. Thank you so very much.

The service and staff were amazing! Food was cooked to perfection! The only complaint is that it was chilly outside and inside the restaurant the AC was blowing so cold that it was a bit uncomfortable. We (6 of us at table - all freezing) asked for the air to be adjusted but was told once it's set they can't change it. Not sure if it's because it's set from HQ, but be prepared. Other than that it was delicious and a great go to when on the River Walk.
