The cocktails were fabulous. I got the Time Changes Everything, which had a wonderful thick egg white texture, a smokiness from the mezcal, and a subtle pear/pineapple flavoring. The drinks weren't particularly strong, but they were delicious. We ordered the chariot de fromages with the triple cream blue cheese, truffle brie, and goat cheese. It was paired with honeycomb, candied pecans, cranberries, and a raspberry jam. They were all excellent, I just wish there had been a bit more baguette paired with it. For the main course I had the pavé de saumon. The salmon was cooked medium and just melted in your mouth. The bearnaise sauce was subtle and really let the salmon shine. I was shocked at how great the French fries were! They were crispy, perfectly salted, and had a great flavor. You can tell they use a very good oil to fry them in! Definitely not fast food. Our amazing server Rob brought us a garlic aioli to dip the frites in, which did not disappoint. I got to try the branzino dish with the browned butter sauce-- equally as good as the salmon. So creamy and flavorful. The price point is quite high, so it was great for a special occasion. The interior was very on theme without being corny, beautiful light fixtures, and tiles, warm low lighting...service was top tier, and you get to enjoy the Pearl Brewery to walk off your full belly afterwards!

Food was amazing and the ambiance was great and the service was pleasant. Now that we checked the boxes lets get to details. The staple appetizer is the fromage raclette. Melted cheese spread onto a baguette at tableside. The cheese was a new flavor for us but it grew on us by the last bite. Recommend it. Also recommend their French onion soup. Deep rich flavors. The St Jacques with the lobster was soooo good. Definitely need to order that one!For main entree the steak was great. Perfectly cooked to medium as I enjoy it. The green sauce it comes with was so good, really added complex flavor. My wife wanted something light so ordered the Mediterranean Couscous dish but be warned it wasn't light! Heavy tomato based soup with root vegetables but really great dish. Leftovers were delicious the next day.For dessert l of course, had to get creme brulee which was as perfect as you'd expect. The service was great as well, very friendly, staff well informed about the menu and had great recommendations. Another big plus was that they make mocktails with actual zero proof liquor so they taste like actual drinks and not just overly sweet fruit juice mocktails like most places! Really appreciated it!

We visited Brasserie Mon Chou Chou the Friday after Thanksgiving for a light brunch, and it was an absolute delight! The restaurant had a calm, relaxed vibe, perfect for unwinding after the holiday bustle.Food ~The French onion soup was a standout--rich, hearty, and bursting with flavor. The Sandwich au Fromage Raclette with Bayonne ham was simply amazing, with the perfect balance of gooey cheese and savory ham. Every bite was indulgent and satisfying.Service ~The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. They made us feel welcome and ensured we had a wonderful experience from start to finish.Atmosphere & Accessibility ~The ambiance was cozy and inviting, adding to the charm of the meal. While the parking lot seemed spacious, we opted to Uber, which made the trip even more convenient.Final Thoughts ~This was a fantastic meal from beginning to end. Whether you're looking for a casual brunch or a comforting French-inspired dish, Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is a must-visit. We can't wait to return!

Not our first visit to Mon Cho Cho, so we knew we were in for a treat. We made it an afternoon of wine and appetizers. Lori took the best care of us and made our visit so special. We sat outside on in the sunshine watching passers by enjoying the weather as well. We truly enjoyed everything that came to the table, the Raclette is always a hit and you have to get it with the Jamon. The surprise hit for me was the scallops on the shell. The presentation is gorgeous and the flavor, phenomenal. I honestly can't say enough about this place!

I liked the ambiance of this place but it wasn't the best food I've ever had . I tried the radish salad roasted vegetables and couscous . It needed salt . This was in the pearl area which everyone raved about . I think if I would have ordered a meal with cheese I would have been more happy . The dishes I saw come out were beautifully plated as well as mine . They had doilies under everything and match sticks at the front . Paper coasters . My couscous came out in a pretty pot with a lid . My husband had eggs Benedict . He said it was good but had better . The server was friendly and did a good job . I wish they would have sat us away from other people . The whole restaurant was open and they sat everyone on top of each other , you were pretty much sharing a table. I felt uncomfortable talking .

Our pick for book club this month. We were able to make reservations which is always appreciated. Parking was $10 in the garage. Service was great, food was great. My entree was huge so you definitely get quantity for the price.

Attended restaurant week lunch on a Friday afternoon. Quickly sat outside with a very attentive waitress. The standout dishes were the bisque and the prickly pear tart. The sweets, as expected did not disappoint. Now for the main course it was good but I have tried so many fabulous restaurants in San Antonio at this point that this one was not up to par to those. Now with that being said it was still good but I expected it to rival other top locations. Would come again but probably for light bites or dessert.

I have been here twice now and both times i had a pleasant experience. I went for dinner the first time and had the duck confit- it was delicious ! and i also tried the steak, it was a little over seasoned but good. we ordered escargot im not a fan of it in general but the escargot fans at the table said it was yummy. i went again this week for restaurant week and had the lunch special. it was incredible. I had the greens with duck, and then the rainbow trout which was exquisite. i also tried the sausage plate it was yummy and the desserts were incredible, primarily the prickly pear dessert !!

I finally got to try Brasserie Mon Chou Chou and loved it!! It was decorated cute for the holidays, very warm and cozy environment. They also have a patio that's nicely arranged and allows you to people watch at The Pearl. Their wine menu is great and everything we ate was amazing! Extremely friendly service. Will definitely be returning again!

I came here a few years back when they first opened and had a wonderful experience, and was eager to come again. I came by on a Thursday evening and it was a busy night. The interior is adorable and makes you feel as you are in a French Cafe. The patio is lovely as well, my only gripe is it is next to a bustling tight corridor to the entrance to the Pearl so things can be quite noisy on a busy night. We started with drinks - I got the Lychee Martini and loved the mix of Lychee and Peach liquor. The drink had a fresh juice taste and a subtle hint of vodka (don't be fooled, the drink was still strong). For our appetizer we got the raclette sandwich - the tableside service is expected for a dish of this but still it never gets old. The baguette was fresh, and our waiter loaded our sandwich up with cheese. The paprika aioli and gherkin pickles wrapped this dish up in a nice bow. It was a good splitting appetizer with my partner. For my entree, I got the baked branzino (loup de mer au four) and my oh my...the brown butter caper sauce was to die for. The nuttiness from the brown butter, saltines from the capers and the branzino... I still dream of this dish. The fish was cooked appropriately and the green beans/potatoes helped make this a full plate. For dessert we went with a simple but classic choice - the cream brulee. Personally, nothing of it stood out differently from one you would get elsewhere but I can say it was done how it should be and was tasty. The berries on top were a nice add to the presentation. I appreciate that our waiter was prompt up front about allergens and was very helpful in ensuring we could get the dishes we want. Even with our large list (soy, sesame, peanuts, cashews) we still could get a lot of the food. The staff was friendly and prompt too. Overall, I had another wonderful experience here and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique, upscale dining experience in San Antonio.
