I'll be honest, I went to Brasão for the first time ever last week, and this is my review:LOCATION:It's good. I live on the Northside of SA so it's perfect for me. The building itself is large, elegant, and makes you feel like you're walking into a castle to be served by Gordon Ramsey, which is cool. Everything inside reminds me of a luxury hotel.FOOD:The main attraction: meat. My buddies have been here a lot and they advised skipping the salad bar and saving room for the meats, so that's what I did. The sides they gave us, grilled plantain, mashed potatoes, and a cheese-bread-thing were all ok. Mid-tier, but not what you go back for. The meat really kicked it up a notch. Picahna was absolutely heavenly. My favorite by far and one of the most classic Brazilian flavors. Other favorites were the Alcatra with Mozzarella cheese and the Leg of Lamb. Seasoned perfectly, but not too heavily where any of the meat flavor and juice was not enjoyed. I would personally skip the Garlic Picahna, not because it's bad necessarily, but because the regular and Spicy Picahna are so much better.FINALLY, the exquisite Grilled Pineapple. This was the money maker for me. I could go back and ONLY eat the Grilled Pineapple and Picahna and be happy forever. This was the turning point where I questioned why I had never been here before.SERVICE:The way it works is the servers come around with the cuts and offer you them if your card is flipped to green (red means no more). They cut the slices right off and you grab them with tongues and slap the meat on your plate. It's satisfying, and almost everyone we came into contact with were super respectful and accommodating. Felt like a cruise ship, where it almost feels like you're being pampered. Brazilian steakhouses will definitely be on my radar now.OVERALL:Fantastic place with mostly very professional people and an excellent atmosphere. The meat is the star of the show, and the sides and other stuff fall, well, at the wayside. Next time, I may try a drink and update the review. But overall, I would absolutely recommend this place. For about $35 for lunch, it's personally not an everyday type of place, but such an awesome experience every once in a while.

Brasão is hands down our favorite Brazilian steakhouse! Every meat selection we've had is delicious, tender, and fresh, with an excellent variety that keeps us coming back for more. Their sides and salad bar are always on point, offering a great mix of fresh, flavorful options that perfectly complement the meats. The service here is truly top-notch. Michael #2 was especially attentive throughout our meal, ensuring our cups were never empty and always providing us with fresh plates for the meat. It made the whole experience even better, and we felt well taken care of from start to finish. We highly recommend Brasão to anyone looking for an amazing Brazilian steakhouse experience. You won't be disappointed!

This was my second visit, and frankly, it will be my last. The food was great as always; however, some of the meats were a bit charred, which affected their flavor. Unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations. The gauchos seemed to barely pass by with different options, and our server, Lauren, was underwhelming. While she was attentive, she lacked enthusiasm. She approached our table without a smile and kept interactions brief. I don't usually mind whether a server smiles or not, but when we're the only table not receiving a friendly demeanor, it becomes an issue especially when others are being treated noticeably better. At one point, Laura asked to take away my partner's plate and asked if I was finished. I replied, "I'm not finished yet." However, she took away everything else except my plate, leaving me unable to eat anything further or get additional items from the gauchos, as she also took my tongs.Unfortunately, her poor service didn't end there. After my plate was taken, we waited 20 minutes to receive our bill, and an additional 10 minutes to get my card back. A good server would have noticed our wait and brought the check promptly. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I asked for my check again, to which Lauren replied, "The checks all go through one girl, and we are trying to get those out as fast as we can." This either indicated a lack of communication or an inefficient check processing system. Interestingly, the table behind us, who asked for their check, received it within 30 seconds. I can only assume they caught up on all their checks at that time. While I don't want to focus solely on the negative aspects of the service, I will mention that she did keep our drinks filled most of the time. Still, I believe Brazilian steakhouses should prioritize providing a great experience, and that was not the case here. You live and you learn. I'll be sticking with Chama Gaucha from now on.

A worthy effort... a four star rating because 3 1/2 is not available. We are Chama Gaucha aficionados. We've gone there since they opened and have always been impressed. The last time we went there it was a bit lacking and so when it came time for a celebration, we decided to try the newer place in town on IH 10, Brasao.Beautiful restaurant and great front desk staff. We receded right away and introduced to the restaurant. The salad bar was very good, but nothing really surprising or different from other experiences. I had a really good salad before the meat courses started coming, which was good. The meat courses were good. The beef rib and particular was very tender and had a good rub on it, which I appreciate it. The rest of the me courses were good, but if I'm honest, not anything really special. They offer a spicy version of the piquaña which was tasty but not too tender. Frankly, I felt like all of the meat was a little bit overdone.Very interesting sirloin that they serve that has mozzarella cheese in it. It is kind of poked in throughout so it looks, frankly, a little bit gross when they bring it to your table and cut it. If we come back, I will spend the extra money for some of the Wagyu beef that they cook on a hot salt slab, which looked particularly good. This time around, we really just wanted to try the usual fair. The best thing for me, without question, was the skewered pineapple that they walk around like one of the meats. They sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on it before they fire it, and it is! A revelation! They also have shrimp that they grill and bring on a skewer. I am not a big shrimp fan, but the people that I was with said that it was very good.Sides were good but again, nothing unexpected or spectacular. All in all it was a good dinner. I felt like they could have done just a bit better to make sure that "medium" is a medium and not medium well or well done. And finally, a couple of complaints that are really just based on observation. The restroom is small. This is a very large restaurant and the fact that there's only two urinals and two sit down rooms seems under serving to me. I noticed people having to wait. Furthermore, when we sat down, I mentioned that I just wanted plain old ice water, and the waiter told me that that was not an option. That we had to buy bottled water. I am no expert, but I wonder if that is even legal... Don't you have to offer people water?

Very nice steak house experience. We came for a birthday dinner and it was very special. I didn't get many pictures it's a fast paced experience. There was a good selection of meats and they come around quickly.I really enjoyed about half of them. You can even request the cut your looking for.The salad bar had many choices. My favorites were the green beans and wedge salad. Three sides come to the table the plantain and mash potatoes were the highlights. You can try a number of sauces to go with your meat. A couple things to keep in mind. They do charge for water and of course 20 % gratuity for parties over 5.

Another amazing experience during 2024 holiday season! Brasão is my favorite Brazilian steakhouse because their service is immaculate. The servers are warm and friendly. And I don't feel like you are searching around with long periods in between servings. And the grilled pineapple Yum! That's a dessert all by itself. The ambiance is buzzy and great when you want a very interactive experience. Lots of tables and they are always very busy. Probably not the best for a quiet romantic dinner due to the crowd, so keep that in mind. Also, I couldn't find the current prices on the menu so you may want to check in advance. I think lunch is around $45-50 + drinks, tip/tax. And dinner may be closer to $70. But if you're celebrating, it makes for a fun time. Enjoy!

The food was so good and the service was great! I liked the salad bar and the grilled shrimp that came around. Some of the meats were a bit too salty but I forgot which ones. They were all cooked very well and were very tender. It was very busy when I went and going to the salad bar felt kind of crowded but sitting down was fine since we were in one of the side rooms.Me and my boyfriend went for our anniversary and we got a dessert. The flaming cheese cake was really good and the crust was crispy and added a nice bitter touch.
