I had heard about @bluefin_sanantonio opening but hadn't seen any reviews yet on the San Antonio Restaurant Facebook page. We thought to check it out for Sunday lunch. The reviews that I read spoke highly of the great service and quality. They opened about 6 months ago and have locations in different parts of Austin. This location is at The Rim right next to Tiago's.Dad had Pink Lemonade, I had the non-alcoholic Pina Colada, and Hubby had the UCC Iced Green Tea. Dad and Hubby shared the Eby Fry with the mayo and masago on the side and the Agedashi Tofu. The Wagyu Hot Rock was tasty and awesome value at $18. We shared the Bluefin Special Roll but did the non-spicy version without the jalapenos and habanero masago on the side. Hubby and I each had a Mixed Green Salad then we shared the Fatty Yellowtail and Fatty Salmon. This place definitely has a great variety of food and drinks and is top notch. True to the reviews, multiple servers stopped by to check on us. We didn't even try their ramen yet. Next time might have to be during happy hour as well. Looking forward to going back!

Bluefin Sushi has quickly become one of our favorite spots for affordable and delicious lunch specials. You really can't beat their deals--three sushi rolls for just $20 or a bento box packed with a variety of tasty options for only $15. Most of the sushi here is fresh and flavorful, though I did have one piece of white fish in my Nigiri that wasn't as fresh as I would have liked, so I ended up skipping it. That being said, the overall quality is great, and we've always left satisfied. On our most recent visit, we tried the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen, and it was a pleasant surprise--it was flavorful, hearty, and definitely something I'll be coming back for. The vegetable tempura is also a standout, especially for just $5.The service at Bluefin is always on point. The staff is attentive and friendly, consistently checking in to make sure our drinks are refilled and that we're enjoying our meal. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, with plenty of seating, so you never feel cramped. I'm usually hesitant to try food around The Rim, but I'm so glad we gave Bluefin a chance. If you're looking for good sushi, great value, and solid service, this place is definitely worth a visit!

My friend recommended this place because there is a location in Austin she goes to and she was right to come here again in San Antonio. The ramen was great, nice and creamy broth with chashu pork, I did want it a little spicier but was still good overall. The 620 roll which they light on fire with some alcohol was HEAVENLY. I don't remember everything on the roll but it all went perfectly together. I would eat 2 of them if i could. My friend got the waygu roll which was also very good however I do prefer raw fish in sushi than meat but it had nice flavors overall. The service was nice our waitresses were pretty attentive, and checked on us frequently. There wasn't many people in the restaurant when we went so it was nice and quiet for us. One negative, I did not like their thai tea, it was not sweet at all and after sending it back to put more sweetener, it still wasn't sweet. My friend got the banana smoothie which was ok as well, you can taste the syrup they use. Food is 10/10 though!

The food was hearty and flavorful. The miso hot was solid. The katsu was excellent but the sauce tasted like a regular Texas barbecue sauce. The ambiance is cozy and casual. We were constantly checked on and never needed to call over anyone for anything.

Loved the appetizers here. The staff was very nice and fast. They even have live music as you walk in that is chill and welcoming.

I had a girls date with my daughter and this restaurant was recommended by our nail tech. I didn't see many reviews so was kind of hesitant but let me tell you....YOU GOTTA COME TRY THIS RESTAURANT RIGHT HEREFirst, it's super cute with wall mural Japanese paintings. The bar area is super cool with sight to see the sushi being prepared. The server her name I think was Stefany Diaz was the real MVP!! She too car of us by explaining the menu and telling us about the most requested rolls. We tried the TX Waygu hot plate was soooooo good ! I think this needs to be a plate in itself but with more meat and a side of rice. It comes as an appetizer and I ended up ordering this plate twice!! It comes with the hot plate , meat, three different sauces and butter. I ordered white rice on the side - thus my suggestion to make it a plate Then we ordered the 620 roll and it was sooooo good! Definitely my favorite one but a close competitor is the TX Waygu RollAgain these two were our most favorite. We also ordered the hamachi and it was okay, too sweet for me I like it more citrusy / ponzu than sweet but that's just my preference. Of course I got a nice tall Sapporo beer...it was a delicious meal...I'm actually going there again tonight....because my Daughter keeps asking me to take her with her best friend There are many menus we actually missed the yellow ones until I overheard a couple ordering a Lobster roll and a Texas Roll. Make sure you check all the menus. Also, the happy hour menu is pretty lengthy with many options so if it's your first time I recommend you come during happy hour to try small plates of the appetizers and rolls I GOTCHU

The cocktails were absolutely great tasting and good portions for the price. The sushi rolls were also good and tasted fresh. They had a lot of ramen options, more options than other ramen restaurants in the area. Will definitely go back some time to try the ramen. Definitely take a look at the menu before going if you can, because it's overwhelming and tiny writing to fit everything on one paper. After we sat down someone seriously came by every 1 minute to ask if we were ready to order, and continued to do so until we got our food. It was too much but I guess that's better than too little. But we needed some time to look at the menu. It was overwhelming.

We went to San Antonio for Xmas Trip. It was great they opened on Xmas day. I am so surprised the food is so good. We ordered Ramen, chicken katsu bento box and nigiri deluxe. The ramen was surprisingly good. The egg in the soup is cooked in authentic way. The soup itself is made by real broths. Not like some sushi place use artificial soup powder. It's very hard for sushi place also made ramen good. The tempura and chicken katsu in the bento box was fried just right with authentic flavor coating. My nigiri were all high quality meat. I would definitely go back again.

Maybe I just hit it on an off day, but some of the fish in the bento box had an extremely fishy taste. Two pieces I threw out. The salad was just greens nothing else. The crunchy roll also had a not so fresh flavor. Not sure if I would go out of my way for this one.
