The food was just okay. My chicken fried steak was so salty! The mashed potatoes were good though.

Love our little neighborhood cafe. Food is good and consistent. Wait staff always friendly. Pretty nice menu selection. Recommend the chicken fried chicken and you can't beat the hamburgers. Nothing fancy. Just good.

Meh. Not a bad experience, but not what wi was expecting. Wanted to get the chicken friend steak, got flaked out of it by two of the server's to get the chicken friend chicken instead. It, and the gravy, were a little bland for my liking. My husband enjoyed his burger, though!

Blakes is a always pretty good, comfort food, good service nice staff. Definitely will be back.

I love this restaurant - food is simple, prepared well, and served with TX hospitality. Today, I enjoyed the hot Nashville chicken - spicy and crispy. Most entrees include 2 sides and they have a long list to choose from, including my favorite, fried okra. My goal is come on a Friday for their prime rib. Very busy during lunch and dinner so try to come in between.

Great at home feel with good comfort food. Definitely worth the money. Nothing that was fried was overly greasy and seasoned perfectly.

I have been eating at Blake's for many years and have had many good meals here. Sandy, I had the worst pork chops I've ever eaten. They were paper, thin and well overcooked. They were very large in diameter and consisted mostly of overcooked breading. I prefer quality over perceived quantity. I would like to have one large thick, well prepared pork chop rather than two oversize pieces of fried dough.Unfortunately, their chicken fried steak is the same, an illusion of of quantity, which is all fried dough.

We are from Houston and were going back home and found this place. This place is a hidden GEM! The best food you can get! I got a stake I promise you it's the best stake in the world!! My brother got a burger and said it was the best as well!! Everything was so juicy so fresh. Definitely was made homemade and with love!Everyone was so nice and a good price too! I love it we will be coming back (ignore the pickles I stole them from my brother)

If you are in the area you need to try this place. The portions are huge! I got the small catfish and got about 6 or 7 pieces. My daughter got the chicken strips and they gave her 6 strips. They have home style food, chicken fried steak, fried catfish, burgers. They even have frog legs. They also had a good selection of salads and appetizers.
