Berni Vietnamese Restaurant

I was traveling through San Antonio yesterday and happened upon this Vietnamese restaurant. There was only one man working the restaurant, but there were quite a few customers.I worried that I wouldn't be able to get good service because there was only the one man. However, I was greeted quickly and received my food promptly, steaming hot and delicious. I never had a want for anything. This man seemed to handle the entire restaurant all by himself, and everyone around me seemed very happy and content. The food was very delicious. I even got a little dessert, which I have no idea what it was. It was fairly decent. It was a blessed surprise, as he didn't even charge me for it. They have a rather large menu so I would've been a bit overwhelmed, had I not gone in there specifically for pho. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was there on a cold day towards the end of the lunch time rush and these guys were BUSY! Still, service was friendly and as quick as possible, considering. They seemed understaffed, maybe somebody called in sick that day. The food was absolutely delicious, exactly what we needed on a cold and rainy day. The Pho was great, the vermicelli bowl was great, just a wonderful soul warming meal. Excited to try more items on their menu.

Fast and really good service! Really good price for a lot of food! I got the tofu bahn mi and it was huge!

The noodles and chicken had fantastic flavor. The chicken and broccoli were cooked perfectly. I did struggle eating the noodles with chop sticks or even a fork as they were so slippery. I ended up having to use a spoon. It likely didn't help that the noodles seemed to be cut short. The owners seem to be a mom and pop, so it could be a little slow ordering and obtaining your food, but it's so worth it. Cute decorations that make you feel cozy. I had no idea that each dish came with a toro pudding, but it was warm and delightful.

This place by far has the one of the tastiest Pho in town. It is more savory than sweet and it is extremely tasty and full of flavor. I got the Berni Pho and it has enough ingredients to fill the entire bowl. I really appreciate that they pack a pho spoon on their to-go orders, making the to go experience even better!

The taste is exceptional. Had the lemon grass beef salad and loved it. In general the food taste remarkably good. The restaurant is filthy. I don't think the restaurant seating area caddy trays, windows, floors have ever been cleaned. Amazing that the kitchen gets a score of 99 but the actual seating area is so filthy. Just don't look to hard. The man who greets and seats has as much personality as one of the table tops but the lady doing the cooking is sweet and charming. So would I recommend, yes. I would strongly recommend the food. At least, the dish I had. But, if you're looking for ambiance or cleanliness you're not going to find it here. I give it 4 stars for food taste alone

Brought the whole family and there were 20 of us, yet the food came out pretty quickly!Super friendly staff and plenty of seatingOrdered a variety of things from chicken and beef Pho to fried rice, and a few appetizers. Impressed how good it was! The pho dat biet is a personal favorite and it was good for the area considering I'm from OC in SoCal. Nice decor to show a taste of the beautiful culture of Vietnam. Will definitely be back.

My second visit. I got the medium size pho and a roast pork Bahn Mi. Delicious. The food is delicious and you get free extras like dessert. The staff is really nice. The inside is very clean and open feeling.

I ordered an extra egg with my to go meal. When I returned to work, it was not in my order and I paid for it. I called and just wanted an "we are sorry" we'll get it right next time. But he argued with me and told me that I ordered something else! Will not order from them again. Beware! Check your order!
