Bentley's Bar

Chef Marcel of @eatwityoeyez reached out last week to invite us to visit. We visited at their @bentleysonbroadway location.Bentley's Bar has a covered outdoor area with picnic tables, heaters, bar, and swings! On Wednesdays, it's happy hour all night with $5 Crown, $7 Patron, and $3 well drinks. Dad had pineapple juice, hubby had the $3 Coors Light, and I had the well drink and Crown with peach and apple. Josh was serving at the bar and took good care of us.@eatwityoeyez opened at 7pm and we ordered our food to give them a try.They also have a resident cat, Bentley, a mixed Siamese cat! So friendly and cuddly!

The crawfish was good but I catch COVID every time I go there .. I heard Bentleys is not shut down, not sure how true that is

Good wings at the food truck on the side called The Dojo!. Good price ($1 on Wednesday). Didn't know it was going to be at a bar until I arrived. Had to walk in to see the food truck. Just fyiGreat flavor, quick, hot and fresh. I ordered 12 wings and fries. Took less than 15 mins. Service was great, cool guy. Only thing is I wished they allowed you to choose if you want all flats or drums. I'm an all flat kinda guy, but they said couldn't be split up like that. I would've paid an extra fee for it. Oh well

Upon looking for some black nightlife in San Antonio we found Bentleys. We are definitely excited that we did. The vibe was amazing. The drinks were good. The live music was absolutely phenomenal and was by far one of the best moments of my trip if ever in Texas again, I will definitely be going back to bed

F. This. Place. Avoid at all costs. Third time is NOT the charm. This place has no charm. The clientele is judgmental as well as the staff. You're in San Antonio. At Bentley's. No reason to be pretentious. No reason to be a complete bish. I guess they don't like when 2 dudes are grinding on each other OH but it's ok when 2 chicks or a chick and a dude do it. GTFOH. I'll dance around the ashes of this place if it were to burn to the ground. And I'm out.

Not sure what this place is supposed to be a bar? Lounge? Restaurant? Hookah? Who knows. I thought we were going to a bar last Sat night but when we arrived the line was down the street as if it's a club? When we got to the front of the line they had armed security which I haven't seen in quite a while. Usually if a place has armed security at the door it's not a chill spot. They had a dress code which we didn't know about and again usually a chill spot wouldn't have a dress code so idk what this place really is but we ended up leaving because we didn't meet the dress code and going to the bar next door. We couldn't be more happy with that decision because at the end of the night we saw a lot of police at this place apparently people were fighting. Not the kind of place I'd like to go to so glad we couldn't get in.

Ok this might be a short review. I really like this spot. But I will be honest and say it might not be for everyone. Now what I have noticed and I love, EVERYONE is welcomed. Not only welcomed but treated kindly and friendly. I have been about 4 times and it's always been that way. You have music that is hip hop and R&B. So if that's not your cup of tea then this isn't the place for you. But this reminds me so much of places at home (Cali). Really chill spot where people play cards and dominoes. Laugh, dance and have a few drinks. This is a place that i will be back many many more times. I mean this place had great energy and a wonderful vibe. Like that they had the games on the big screen. Oh what I think is kind of funny but cool is that at the bar outside the seats are swings. Yes that's right swings. That is awesome. So if you like hip hop and R&B with a nice vibe. And you grown and sexy...this is the place for you. I might see you there if so says what's up.

Great wings at the food truck on the side called TheDojo!. You have to walk in to see the food truck.Great flavor options, Quick, hot, and honestly some of the best wings I've ever had. Five Stars isn't enough for the truck! Deserves your business and a nice tip!!

This place had a little of everything and everybody. Not my type of crowd but I was there for moral support after the boxing match. Someone even brought their service dog inside.

Ambiance was great. Different areas and music. Drinks were good and food im guessing was good.. no vegan options
