I ventured to this market in search of what San Antonio claims is the best Italian sandwich. The place radiates old-school charm with a side of modern-day foodie ambition. Parking? A nightmare. The kind of place where signs threaten to tow your car if you even think about parking improperly. But I wasn't leaving without that sandwich--rules (and potential towing fees) be damned.When I asked if the sandwich came with mayo (a personal no-go), the server reassured me it only had their homemade spicy relish. Music to my ears--I'm a sucker for spice and relish. Fast forward to unwrapping my prize at home, and... surprise! Mayo. A small betrayal. I wiped it off because this sandwich deserved a fair chance.And wow, what a sandwich. Huge, loaded, and absolutely packed with flavor. It's easily a two-meal situation. If not for the mayo mishap, this would've been a solid five-star experience. Mayo fans, rejoice--this one's for you. As for me, I'll definitely be back... armed with a firm "hold the mayo" next time.

This place is a gem! I got lunch with a friend who suggested this place. I wasn't really hungry, but got a pastrami sandwich with the intention of just politely having a few bites and saving the rest for later. Nope. I nearly ate it all, bite after bite past bursting full. The pastrami on rye is a generous but not overwhelming amount of pastrami where you have to unhinge your jaw to take a bite. The spicy mustard helped cut through the richness of the meat and cheese and the marbles rye bread was beautiful. Will be coming back!Also, service was super friendly. Gotta love a cute mom&pop shop. Parking is just street parking, so neighborhood side streets are available and the walk is pleasant

I'm Thankful for Beacon Hill Deli and The Thanksgiving Melt Down.This sandwich just does it all. It's comfort food wrapped up like a little present for your enjoyment. It truly is an experience. The flavor is savory with the perfect amount of tart from the cranberry sauce. Just an explosion of flavor and a feeling of nostalgia. Idk how they did it but it's so well balanced and an absolute must have. The sandwich consists of house turkey, ham, Swiss, cranberry sauce, herbed stuffing aioli, on marble rye.

This place is down the street from me but I have been sleeping on it. I got a classic Italian sub, it was perfect. my girl got the grilled cheese and tomato soup it was beyond perfect. Glad I can walk to this place anytime I need a proper sandwich.

Swung by on a late afternoon on Saturday finally! I have been looking for the perfect occasion to go and realized I didn't need one! I LOVE the fact that they offer a vegan and vegetarian option. It is amazing to see a vegetarian cheesesteak on the menu! We got that and the vegan hummas wrap. Also saw a slice of pumpkin pie in the display case and got that too. We picked up and brought the food back home. The service was prompt and friendly. The inside was cozy and there were some tables outside to sit and eat at on a nice day. Food was delicious!!!!! Both were amazingly delicious and we will absolutely be back.

I absolutely love this place. The Italian is what dreams are made of!!! It's small inside (no tables) and only a few tables outside so plan on picking it up to go or eating outdoors if the weather is nice. 10/10 recommend

FINALLY!! A great Italian sandwich exists in this city!!! Holy cannoli I'm so sad I didn't know about this for the two years it's been open, I just gave up looking a while ago. Omg... Its absolutely delicious. Perfect bread texture that's thick and supports the massive sandwich with the sauce but doesn't get soggy. Great quality veggies, meat, and cheese and the Italian dressing is so flavorful. I can't wait to come back and try the pastrami. The woman who helped us was very friendly, and the inside was super cute. Don't let the outside scare you away. This is absolutely an SA gem.

Best sandwiches I've had in all of SATX! I grew up outside NYC and have missed having an authentic deli nearby. This place cured my craving! We got the Italian, curried chicken salad and cheesesteak. They were all delicious and we WILL be back.
