This is what food made with love tastes like. Today was my first visit - I ordered the 3 meat plate(brisket, sausage and ribs) and ordered an extra side (potato salad, Mac n cheese, and beans). Every single thing was delicious: it all had flavor and seasoned right. I waited maybe 5 minutes for my order to be ready. Delicious. The service is incredible -happy attitude all around. I need to go back and try it all. I was taking to some other customers that traveled from the airport area just to get the food, they said they make the trip all the time because the food is that good. Just do you know there is no inside dining. They do have a few seats outside or you can eat in your car cause the parking is set up almost like Sonic's. Eat in your car if you can't wait but I suggest sitting down and truly enjoying this food -so so good.

Food is unbelievable Service is awesome I retract my past review it's way better .The place was very clean but the smell from the parking all the way in is sooo addicting

We were coming back from Pruski's Market in Adkins and looking for BBQ for lunch. I had heard good things about BBQLife by Chris so we gave it a try. It's really small and easy to miss on WW White close to 410. Look for an old drive in restaurant and you will find it. No indoor seating, but they do have a few seats outdoors. It looked like during the time we were there that most order to go. We ate at one of the tables outside because it was a nice cool, sunny day.We were greeted by an enthusiastic young man and asked a few questions about the menu. For this visit we got the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, potato salad, and green beans.- Brisket is lean, moist, and tender with a little smoke taste. Not much of a smoke ring here. I was left wanting for more bark. It's like I'm wondering if the pitmaster cut off the burnt ends for himself or thought the customers would not want them.- Pulled pork is tender and flavorful, but is also missing much bark. I learned to make Memphis style pulled pork from the pitmasters where they pull it from the large piece of meat and that helps preserve the bark and serve immediately to their customers. It seems most Texas restaurants pull it and put in in a steam table tray where it sits for hours losing that bark feature. - The sausage is from Yoakum, Texas and it was excellent. Flavorful and juicy.- I liked the potato salad, but the wife said it was too sweet. Potato salad is one of those sides that are made so many ways that you will never please everyone.- The BBQ sauce is good, a little sweet.- The green beans were just "okay." Canned green beans cooked with salt and pepper. I would challenge the chef to add bacon or some burnt ends from the brisket to give more flavor.My wife needed to use the restroom so they had to find the right key. She says it's only a restroom you use if you have to really go bad.I just realized after looking at photos from other reviewers that we did not get pickles and onions.In summary, BBQ LIfe is good, but not the best in San Antonio. With a little work they could be in the Top 5. I focus on the BBQ and don't deduct points if someone is a food truck or to go establishment.

We were in the area and decided to use Yelp to find some good food when we came across raving reviews of this BBQ place. We opted for takeout here, which honestly felt like the only choice. They have a drive-in setup like Sonic, but you still have to grab your food from inside to eat in the car. So, we took our meal home.The cashier was really nice and patient with us. We ordered two loaded potatoes topped with brisket and a side of ribs. The potatoes were delicious, but they were missing the sour cream and chives I'm used to--just a little something that would have made them perfect for me. The ribs were tasty and definitely fall-off-the-bone tender, though the rub felt dry and was a bit different from what I'm used to. Still good overall.As many reviews mentioned, the entrance is a bit dingy, which made me a bit wary walking in. Customers can't see past the cashier counter, but I checked the health ratings and inspections, and they were excellent past and recent. Maybe they're saving money on appearance. Regardless, I'm not worried about it based on inspection results and definitely plan to return to try more menu items--or especially when I get a craving for a loaded baked potato!

Found another east side gem! This place is amazing! The building outside looks like a Sonic with the drive up coverings. I ordered a one meat plate with ribs. My partner ordered a brisket sandwich. Both choices are delicious. The service was excellent. The attention used to make customers feel special and appreciated is top of the line. Will be coming back for my bbq fix.

The service was top tier. I forgot to check my order and I was worried when I made it all the way home but everything I ordered and asked for was in the bag once I sat down to devour my meal. This was the best smoked bbq I've had since moving from Michigan to Texas 2yrs ago. I loved the sauce and I'm very picky when it comes to bbq sauce. Will I go back? Absolutely, and if I didn't reside so far away I'd go often, considering I'm a big time lover of smoked meat. Thank you all for your hospitality and delicious food, stay kind and blessed.

We were craving some BBQ and found BBQLIFE here on Yelp. When we drove up, we knew this place was the real deal: you can smell the smoker going and you can tell they care more about the food and the service than the ambiance. Since I have no self control, I got a bunch of everything: chicken, ribs and brisket. Added sides of green beans and potato salad. Everything was perfect! The sauce is a great compliment, but none of the meat really needed it. We were helped by a very friendly young man who took our order and offered suggestions on the menu. We'll be back, especially to try their daily specials!!

I tried this place because it was the closest smokehouse open on a Tuesday when we had visitors. We called in the order for pickup. Friendly service and food was ready promptly. Portions were huge and at good prices. It was very good BBQ but not the best. It was very tender but was a bit dry , and had a bit too much char on it for my taste. But it was very flavorful. I'd definitely go there again when i need BBQ on days my favorite place is closed.

We flew in for our son's graduation from Airforce BMT from Florida looking Texas BBQ saw this and had to try. Hole in the wall in an old drive in and moment you open the door WOW the smell hits you, it's going to be good. Food was Excellent! Had the Monday special sausage links, 2 sides bread and sweet tea. Added extra sausages. Mac and cheese and Ranch beans great! So had brisket sandwich and wife had ribs and pulled pork No complaints! Try this place and forget chain bbq places.

Best brisket around ! Ordered three pounds for the homeless on new years eve and they enjoyed it emencily. Plan to visit again soon.
