Alright, brace yourselves, because Bamboo in San Antonio isn't just a takeout joint--it's a full-on passport to Asia. One bite, and you'll feel like you've just been teleported straight into the heart of a bustling street market in Shanghai, without the jet lag. Seriously, Bamboo's food has the magical power to make you forget you're sitting on your couch in sweatpants, and suddenly, you're sipping soup on a rooftop in Hong Kong. It's that next level.First, the soup--whether you go with hot and sour or egg drop, it's like a little bowl of Asia in your hands. It's so flavorful, it makes you wonder if the spoon you're using is actually some kind of ancient artifact that's been passed down through generations of soup masters. One sip, and you're no longer in San Antonio--you're somewhere far more exotic, like a noodle shop tucked away in the alleyways of Beijing. (Also, you're very happy to be there.)Then there's the egg roll. This little crispy bundle of joy will make you feel like you've just stumbled into the kind of hole-in-the-wall spot in Taiwan where the locals are like, "Yeah, we've been eating this for generations, but thanks for finding it." Bamboo's egg roll is so crispy it could double as a musical instrument. And that filling? It's a savory masterpiece. You'll bite into it and instantly think, "I didn't know life could be this good. Did I just time travel?"And those noodles? Let me tell you, Bamboo's noodles have been trained by the ancient noodle wizards of the East. They are the perfect mix of chewy, saucy, and so satisfying, it's like someone found the secret noodle recipe passed down from generation to generation and decided to share it with you. You're now officially living your best life, wrapped in a blanket of noodle-y bliss. So, yeah, when you order from Bamboo, you're not just getting takeout. You're getting an all-inclusive, passport-free, plane-ticket-free trip to Asia. One bite, and you're transported. And don't forget to add that combo, because you'll want to make sure you're fully immersed in your new culinary vacation. Trust me, you'll never want to leave.

Came here last night because I was craving chinese food and this choose this place because it's nearby and they have good prices, and open late I got the sesame chicken with lo mein and my boyfriend got the lemon chicken. We also both added on the cheese rangoons and those were probably my favorite part of the whole meal I could have eaten like 10 of those alone. All around we both enjoyed both of our meals.Service was great! The girls at the register both were very nice and helpful. I didn't know what kind of drink to get so they gave me a drink to try the lavender green tea and omg was so good. A little bit sweet but still great.Ambiance was nice, I didn't eat inside I ordered to go so I didn't get to see the whole inside but front was nice:)

Disclaimer: I cannot speak on the ambiance or service because I ordered via a delivery app.As for the food, I am sorry to say that I didn't enjoy it at all. /: Coming from a Southeast Asian background, I actually enjoy a little MSG in my food, but the sheer amount of MSG in the dishes made my $30 worth of food pretty inedible.

Excited to try. Was not so good though. Got the chicken friend rice. Which was basically greasy rice with crumbs of chicken. The egg roll was ok but can tell it was fried in dirty oil. Unfortunately was not good and you definitely need like those grease removing pads for your whole body afterwards.

My first time at bamboo will certainly not be my last! I joined some friends who frequent the restaurant and can see why. When you have that craving for some good old fashioned American Chinese food, this certainly scratches the itch. The lemon chicken was great from the thickness and flavor of the sauce to the crispiness of the chicken. The staff were super personable and felt like chatting with friends. The place itself is a little odd, not much in the way of decor which isn't awful but kind of feels like you're just eating in some random hallway next to a kitchen. Lastly, I can't put my finger on what sriracha they are using, definitely not Huy Fong but it was absolutely delicious!

We love Bamboo. We use a food delivery company, so I can't speak to ambience. The General Tso's chicken has just the right balance of sweet and spicy. The chicken is always moist. The Garlic Stir fry with pork is so flavorful. Choose a stir fried rice (we like pork); it is some on the best we've had. Every dish is consistent in quality. The servings are generous and well priced. I want to try different dishes, but I can't get away from my fav! Highly recommend.
