B-Daddy's BBQ

Despite not having been here in awhile, this place still ranks high in the best BBQ on our list! Brisket was juicy, tender, and with a bit of fat and crackle on the outside for full flavor. We tried the spicy sausage this time- a mixture of beef and pork and with hatch green chile for a kick- deeeeelish! What makes a good BBQ is not only the smoked tasty meats like, but the sides. I have to say all that we have ordered, have shined. The green beans are fab with bits of bacon and fried onions, the Mac n' cheese are no doubt super cheesy, not runny, the potato salad was tasty, not bland, and the borracho beans were def drunk with beer : DPlenty of seating and friendly service to top it off. We'll be back.

We sampled every meat. The food was average barbecue. The pulled pork was good flavor, but they didn't remove the fatty parts. The brisket had good flavor but was dry. The ribs were beautiful, but had way too much pull. The turkey was good. The service was horrible. The lady making brisket tacos was extremely rude. Her abrasive demeanor and choppy answers to questions let us know she doesn't appreciate customers and feels bothered by our presence. I asked what she was making because it looked good, she sharply snapped "tacos". When I ordered their date night meal that has some of every meat, she rolled her eyes asked if I really wanted every meat wrapped separately. I explained that yes, I wanted to separate my turkey brisket and she rolled her eyes and said OK sarcastically. When my wife asked the cashier when they have love music (seeing the stage), she barked not any more, it's too expensive and kept walking. The sad part is we were the only customers ordering at the counter when we were taking to them so it wasn't a matter of being busy. Definitely recommend re-training to incorporate a little hospitality.

We've had B-Daddy's before when their truck came to our neighborhood, but decided to visit their restaurant in Helotes. It was lunchtime on a Friday and they had a full house, but the line moved really quick. My husband and I both got the 3-Meat Plate. Between the two of us, we had ribs, brisket, sausage, chicken, Mac and cheese, cream corn, and potato salad. The meats were tender and the Mac and cheese was pretty good as well. My husband thought the chicken was too smoky but I kinda liked that about it.Overall, a pretty solid bbq spot if you're on the NW or W side of town. Can't say that rivals any other bbq place downtown or in Austin, but it's good bbq.

The Ribs had a funny smell, the boracho beans were too spicy and the banana pudding tasted like whip cream had been added. The banana pudding did not taste like made-at-home with real milk, it to tasted funny. The potato salad tasted as if it was thrown together, the potatoes were quite chunky, maybe that's the normal way it is made. The marble beef brisket was superb as was the mac and cheese. The chopped brisket sandwich was very tasty but cold and the sweet Bar-B-Q sauce made the sandwich taste very good. I am a food connoisseur, I love great food and my reviews are precise. The restaurant was very nice and nostalgic, disable parking was available, there was also a ramp, alleviating climbing the stairs and I loved the beer tub inside of the testaurant! The staff was friendly and very helpful in assisting the choices of our menu items. Overall, my meal were ok.

In Helotes, this BBQ spot is a popular place to get some very good bbq. We love eating here and don't get there too late or they might sell out of your favorites. I definitely recommend.

Excellent brisket great mac&cheese. Sauces where decent but prefer sweet heat. Great atmosphere.

Great spot to stop at! Had the brisket and jalapeño and cheddar sausage! So good. Recommend getting half wet and half dry. Also the turkey was amazing!! Don't forget about the sides really good Mac and cheese and beans. My son got the burger which looked good. Our favorite though was the pulled pork. Man was it Smokey and delicious. I'll be back!Only bummer is they were out of pork ribs. Just gotta get there earlier!

I love how easy it is to find the food truck. We have yet to find a side dish that we love. But the meats are great.

wanted brisket and read the reviews so I thought I'd try it out. Brisket was very bland. Only thing that was really good. Was the potato salad and the mac & cheese. Other than that for 50 bucks, I'd go to Smoky Mo's instead way better brisket. sad but true. For the hassle it took to get over here.. coming from over in the dominion area.. for the price of my brisket plate and my husbands brisket sandwhich i would've made the trip down to Castroville BBQ for that amazing brisket had i known this place wasn't going to be what i was expecting. WELL i guess that's what for not sticking w Castroville BBQ

Food was ok service is basically just counter service and condiments are self service. The brisket nachos queso was very salty and served on top instead of on the side as I asked. Sausage was ok and the brisket tasted slightly bland The mac and cheese was very salty and the creamed corn was over cooked. The counter help for the most part were friendly. This place seemed a little off that day.
