Visited during Yelp Taco week and boy, this truck has some award winning tacos! Asada tacos were super delicious and the AL Pastor definitely in the running. Cilantro and onions optional and I had a bacon wrapped Jalapeño which was great on taste and brought some heat. Their brisket mac n cheese is a favorite here. The red salsa was spicy and great flavor. Definitely adding to my favorite places

The mini taco plate was so good! I had the pastor with onions and cilantro, the green sauce was the perfect flavor of spice (not too hot). But the Star and hidden flavor bomb was the bacon wrapped jalapeño. It packed a hot punch at the end. My kiddo got a cheese quesadilla which was overflowing with cheese and the tortilla was buttery and crispy.

The food at this truck is UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE!!! It was sooo good we had to come two nights in a row...first night we had the asada quesadilla which was one of the best I've ever had...and then the next night we returned to try the brisket quesadilla which was equally delicious! The flavor of the meat, avocado, cheese, garlic aioli, and jalapeño crema was out of this world!!! I can't wait to come back to San Antonio to enjoy more of these delightful meals!

I am in love with Ay Que Rico brisket tacos! This food truck has been up and running for a few years now and I had seen their delicious food through social media. Last week, finally noticed they were going to be at an apartment complex near downtown and decided to check them out. They sell everything from quesadillas, tacos and grilled cheese sandwich. My rule of thumb when visiting a new place for the first time is to always ask "what's the best thing on the menu?"...because I wasn't super hungry they recommended the plate of 3 brisket tacos. OH. MY. GOD. Best decision ever! The meat was full of flavor and super juicy. The tacos came with two tortillas each and were not too oily. The cilantro and onions were fresh, and my favorite salsa was definitely the red.If you want to check them out, follow their Instagram or Facebook account for a weekly update of their location. I am definitely going to try to catch them next time for some brisket grilled cheese sandwich.

I stumbled upon Ay Que Rico posted up at the StreetFare SA food truck park on Austin Highway on a recent Saturday afternoon. I had the five mini al pastor street tacos and a grilled cheese sammich with shrimp (the total was $18.40 - ouch). Each item I ordered was PLENTY to fill you up and make you waddle back to your car, so no complaints on the quantity at all.The FIVE al pastor tacos were served with one small container of green chile, and one small container of red chile. At first glance, I was like "WTH? Where's the rest of the chile?" Since I didn't get a whole lot of sauce for five tacos, I used it sparingly, and I was glad I did! Each chile was very hot - but GOOD! It was hot enough to take care of all five tacos. I also sampled the pastor without any chile, or anything else on it and it was decent. The meat was tender, but it could have been seasoned a little bit more. Here comes the grilled cheese sammich with shrimp. I was like "WOW!" There was plenty of cheese, and it seemed as if every single bite had shrimp in it. They don't skimp on the shrimp at Ay Que Rico Y'all. Do some detective work and find out where this food truck is posted up next. You REALLY need to check them out!

Was excited to hear this food truck was going to be at my apartment complex. I waited in line later in the evening. It went pretty fast. They definitely had team work going. They had a special for $10 that included the mini tacos, their famous brisket grilled cheese and charro beans. I was so exited to try it, however, they ran out of the grilled cheese right when it was my turn to order. I ended up ordering the asada mini tacos with grilled onions. I was a little disappointed paying $2 less for tacos compared to the special they were having. But lesson learned. Next time I'll arrive earlier. The tacos were great and fully stuffed with the meat, cilantro and grilled onion. Also came with a lime and hot sauce.

One of the best taco and BBQ food trucks around. They have brisket grilled cheese but it's in the $10 range so I normally don't get that.My to-go meal is usually 5 mini tacos with asada meat or pastor. They are delicious with flavorful Smokey tender meat. They always give you plenty of onions and cilantro and huge portions. Tacos are stuffed to the rim. They are all over town but you can find them pretty regularly once a week at the street fair food truck Park on Austin highway. I love mini tacos..

So I finally visited this food truck after seeing so much hype about it on Instagram. Well I can say there is one item that was worth the hype and that was the Brisket Grilled Cheese! Man oh man was it so yummy! It was toasted just right and the brisket was perfectly melted with the cheese. It was served on Texas Toast so it was a huge, fulfilling one of a kind sandwich that's for sure! It was a little pricey but totally ok since you can't get this hot item anywhere else. They are a few different items on the menu to choose from but if you want to get your money worth I recommend the sandwich. Now the ehh part. So we also purchased a order of street tacos and I can honestly say I've had way better from other taco trucks. The tacos are pricey and portions were average. Nothing special about the tacos so I recommend sticking to the brisket grilled cheese! The beans were just ok....The guys that run the truck are very friendly! We didn't have to wait long for our food and the inside looked very clean. You should definitely search them on instagram to find their schedule, they usually post it weekly so you can know exactly where to buy the delicious, one of a kind brisket grilled cheese! Oh take a good amount of cash as this truck does charge taxes, it's not your regular flat rate food truck. Also they have merchandise for sale! The sale super cute shirts and jackets.Support small local businesses!
