Armadillos Texas Style Burgers

Hole in the wall burger spot anyone? This is the spot !!! Hungry for a challenge? They have that too with a 1lb burger. Fries are separate so order one for two people as the burgers are huge. Small place great service !

It was good, very peaceful and the waitress was very attentive. The avacado burger was good... kinda basic. The tator tots were a bit too fried. They have big red, yum! All in all my experience went well & I'm not sure if I will return but you should give it a try if you're in the area & want a homemade burger.

Not sure why I expected quality food walking up to a run down building. Once inside it's a typical run down dive. I believe my mistake is coming to a burger joint for a salad. Either way there is no energy everyone is acting like they hate their life. I'm not coming back and don't recommend this place.

We've been coming here for years, back when it was Little Hipps and it's still an amazing burger joint. Their menu is just the right size, their service is friendly and we love the atmosphere.

I. Love. Local. Nice outdoor seating. Accommodated my request to be seating outside. Soon as a table opened they placed us. Thankful. We weren't that hungry, but wanted to get out a bit, so shared a 1/3 lb cheeseburger and sweet potato fry. Burger was nice, bun hot and soft, and came out pretty quickly. Left satisfied. If I was nearby, I'd come again for a burger and the relaxed outdoor seating atmosphere.

Even though I live near this place and have been driving by it for long time now, it was only recently that I finally stopped in when I was craving a burger. I must say it's a real good deal for the price, for the most part. However, the only complaint I have comes today. I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich, great crunch and flavor. They pound the chicken breast pretty thin so it looks HUGE (see my pictures of it) . I would say maybe leave a little bit of the thickness to it. My other complaint is that I decided to add bacon and cheese to it. A couple of strips of bacon came to $2.25 and cheese was $1.45 The food comes out of the kitchen super fast and the waitresses are almost always super attentive!

Service was quick and courteous. The onion runs. These are the perfect onion rings. Crunchy, not greasy, not salty and when you bite them you don't pull out the whole onion I would come back just for that. I got thr 1/2 burger and probably could have done three . It was the epitome of a good burger. Not overdone, not messy, a straight up classic burger. Great flavor. Jalapeños added the perfect spice. Very happy I decided to try

I've been coming to Armadillos for YEARS! I drive there from the heart of the Med center...I pass ALLOT of burger joints to come here...HINT! Service is fantastic, rustic atmosphere, great ambiance and the delicious SMELL OF BURGERS! Best in SA if you ask me!
