Angelica’s Mexican Restaurant

After traveling from Houston, we got to the restaurant with about 20 minutes until closing. They quickly sat us down and we ordered the Special. The food came out in about 5 minutes. The enchiladas were good and the carne guisada was tasty. The tortillas were good. The waitress and staff were friendly. It was a quaint little restaurant.. If we are ever in La Vernia again, we will definitely stop by !!

The food was absolutely disgusting it was cold and hard like it had been sitting out for hours The service was seriously lacking And the restaurant itself was dirty and gross no tables where clean all the walls and very and a thick layer or dirt caked on them

First time to visit and the service and food were great, solid Tex-Mex. I had cheese enchiladas - portions were big and prices were right. And the chips are fresh!

Excellent Food! Great service! I have eaten here several times, too many to count. Several friends and family have joined me and we all have nothing but great things to say. Their salsa is perfect! The enchiladas and guisada special is on Fridays. You've got to check them out. They have lunch specials Mon THRU Friday.

I know I know it's La Vernia but hey getting Mexican food shouldn't be too hard, this new restaurant just isn't ready to help nor cares about providing good customer service. I will say they have the best server in town by the name of Patti, if you do decided to waste some money here but want to have the best helping you out ask for Patti. Our issues started with completely dried out chicken flautas that where inedible due to be over fried and completely hard. Our server did her best but they told me to see the cashier for the solution. The solution you might ask? Was to bad to sad, that's what happens when you fry things I was told by an unprofessional young lady who could careless about helping us out. I am sad to see that customer service and providing a simple meal is not possible for this establishment. When they fail as they will inevitably will, no one will ever remember nor miss this so called Mexican restaurant. Please do not waste your time or money. My bill was one chili relleno, bean and cheese taco, on chicken fajita taco and the flauta plate for $46 dollars wish I would have never gone and saved my money and gone to the convenience store and would have had a much better experience, not joking. Oh well, you live and learn.
