So, now for my cigar smokers, this place does have an outdoor patio, but you have to smoke outside the patio rails, no seats and no tables. Probably can't have a drink out there with you either. You can see the TVs thru the windows, but probably not hear the tv. The playscape is outside as well, so you'll probably hear the screams and laughter of the kids playing out there.

Anchor Bar is an awesome spot! Denise was an incredible server--attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The pickle hot wings were absolutely delicious, with just the right kick of flavor. They're a must-try! The atmosphere is perfect for watching sports, with plenty of screens and a lively vibe. Whether you're there for the food, the drinks, or to catch a game, Anchor Bar delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend it!

That white pizza!! Good golly miss Molly!! It was sooo so so yummy. The bread was so soft and .. I have no words lol I loved it. The wings were mid- a little dry and lacked flavor. I've had better. The wedges were also very yummy. I would've liked more jalapeños, it was a little skimpy.The service at the bar was good! The ladies were nice, and didn't try to force conversation but entertained convo when we struck one up.Everyone that came in knew each other, so it gives "good neighborhood bar" vibes which was really nice. Everyone smiled when you made eye contact and was super friendly. I would definitely come again for that pizza.

My husband and I usually go to the Anchor Bar off 1604 but we were in the Schertz area and decided to stop in. It was a night and day contrast from the other location. Bartender/waitstaff seemed frazzled, unfriendly, and uninterested. They do have a great happy hour special Monday through Wednesday 3-6pm. Buy 10 bone in wings and get 10 free. The wings were good, no complaints there. Drink prices were more than reasonable. Again no complaints on the food or drinks but didn't feel welcome and got out of there soon after eating. The last reason for the two stars was there was no AC on and working. It was so hot in there. It's Texas in late June the AC should be working and pumping out cold air. I asked the waitress what was going on with the AC. She shrugged gave me a dirty look and walked away. No worries we won't be back.

So I'll be blunt.... I'm only leaving 5 stars based upon previous experiences at this (NEW) location. All previous visits occurred during colder or cooler months of the year or at the location before the business moved just down the road. South Texas is starting to get a lot warmer now, and the heat inside this place from the westward sun is to the point of unbearable. I spend most of my discretionary time here, but have decided I will find another place until something is done to fix the problem.I choose to go to establishments for a good time, not to sweat. They have great food, and great service (who are all sweating), but I can't in good conscience go back until this issue is remedied.

Checked out the new location in Schertz and it was packed. So packed it took 30 minutes before we had someone check on us after we sat down but once Tum Tum took our order, the service was phenomenal. Very pleasant and personable. Highly recommend asking for her. Big screen TVs everywhere to catch any game you want so be prepared for it to be a little noisy. Very clean establishment. Can't go wrong with their wings. Tried their Cranberry Kick flavor. Starts off sweet and then you will feel the kick. Not even a gradual heat. It's just a kick.

We have been going to Anchor Bar since they opened a few years ago. They recently moved down the street where Pizza Hut was and Pizza Hut moved where Anchor Bar was. I like the new location better. They were very crowded yesterday and not well organized. Everyone at our table had the wrong order. We had to ask each other what we ordered. Other than that the food tasted what we expected. I recommend that they get organized ,and implement a system if they don't already have it in place , to remember who ordered what.

I always enjoy stopping in at Anchor Bar to watch a big game. The atmosphere is always fun with different crowds of supporters each time I go in. The bar area is always packed and the general seating area has more tVs than I can count. All the food is excellent with an ever-evolving menu! Better wings are difficult to find! And don't sleep on the buffalo chicken pizza!

This is our first time at this restaurant. We were seated immediately on a weekday early dinner. The menu had a nice selection of wings, pizza, burgers, etc. We love wings and we're impressed by the variety of sauces and rubs. The snack size is 5 wings and a perfect amount for me. I prefer a saucy Parmesan garlic then a dry rub. I'm glad I tried the Honey Sriracha and it was delicious. The kid's menu is a great deal at $6.99 that includes a soft drink. The kids got a 4 piece chicken wings. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. It is a bar so expect a loud atmosphere with many people drinking. The service was okay. We had to repeat our order a few times and our waitress seemed frazzled. Overall, we will return since we love a good wing restaurant. I look forward to trying other sauces and rubs.

Food was solid! Not the best but better than average! The drinks are fantastic and super affordable! Lots of TVs so you won't miss the action and enough space that you're not elbow to elbow with others! The service was amazing! Our food was like 3 mins later than what they said (we didn't even notice) so they made sure to come apologize and brought a free dessert! Will definitely be going back!
