I've been coming here for years and it's still great under new management. Today's visit was good except for a rock in my bean and cheese taco. At least I know they use real beans! The papas a la Mexicana were perfect and love the fact the chop the ingredients into small pieces instead of big chunks. I love their $5 taco special - it's a great deal!

I really loved visiting Amanda's on the way to Trader's Village! We were welcomed immediately and given many suggestions and options. As a vegetarian and vegan, Ben and I were unsure if they had anything for us, but the staff was able to find a way to nourish us and care for our preferences!Quick service and THE BEST BIG GREAT GIANT taco ever.Amazing corn tortillas, AMAZINGGGG. Don't leave without one. Memorable papas too. Will definitely visit again when we're around that side of town (Kind of small inside for our comfort, so we'll order to-go!)Thanks Amanda's Cafe!

This is the first little café we've tried in our new neighborhood, and we struck gold! The corn tortillas were fresh handmade, soft, and light, but durable corn tortillas, and the taco special was very satisfying. At $.99, they are the type of tacos that make you proud to be from San Antonio. Make sure to try the papa and chorizo! My wife Gabi had the huevos rancheros plate. The salsa was the perfect consistency, the retried beans have good flavor, and he papas were just how we like them, a big cut freshly fried. We will be back for lunch next time!5 stars because anybody that finds themselves in the area before 2pm looking for good tacos on homemade tortillas should try it.

They employees are really nice here but this time we picked up tacos to go and omg my potato and egg tacos were horrible, the tortillas were super hard and cold, the food was cold, I was very unimpressed... I thought they were good, I probably won't come back here again, I was very disappointed with the tacos :(

We love Amanda's! This is our neighborhood taco shop! We've been doing our best to support them during this COVID-19 crisis. They have great fajita tacos! Their beans are always fried to perfection. They have probably the best papa a la Mexicana I've ever tasted! And their chilaquiles tacos are da bomb. The waitress, Juany, is so sweet and welcoming. We now only order to go, but we look forward to the day we can sit inside and relish Amanda's food fresh from the kitchen. They have excellent homemade corn and flour tortillas!

Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know if you're looking for good tacos good Mexican food this is the place their carne guisada is the best the breakfast tacos they're out of this world and they make everything fresh Super Fresh awesome also have the best flour tortillas and corn tortillas it's a small little place but it's got a lot of love and a lot of taste I'm proud to have these people in our neighborhood awesome people they respect you and treat you with love and treat you like family.

Every time I visit my sister here in San Antonio I have to come here. The food is authentic. Service is outstanding. Locally owned. A small place in the hole. Plus the owner's son is in the Navy. As a Navy retiree that makes it more enjoyable. And I am supporting a Navy family. I highly recommend this hole in the wall.

Amanda's food is always so good! We just recently moved back to the Southside and we had to go back to our favorite spot! The tortillas here make you wanna cry, they're so good and comforting like your Guelita used to make. I tried the gorditas and they were amazing. I'm so happy we are back in the Southside to be close to our favorite taco shop. And the staff is always warm and welcoming. Plus, they play some good cumbias! I was chair dancing as I ate my food! So delicious

Enjoyed the delicious flour tortillas breakfast tacos with some spicy and hot salsas! Service was great and friendly. Felt welcomed once I walked in. Will definitely visit this place again.
