Service was quick. Surprised to see it empty when there's literally nothing else open this late. But a pizza 11 minutes before midnight? Let's do it!! Small place, but I was ordering to go so no issues for me. I'll write back after I taste it!!

Alfredo's was just around the corner from where we were staying and we were craving pizza, so it was an obvious choice. We just went with a simple Cheese and Pepperoni split and hot damn, this is some good pizza.Frankly, this pizza reminds me of just your favorite neighborhood pizza you grew up with. Not thin crust, not thick, but just right. Deliciously cheesy, some great crispy crust, and tasty sauce, all dished out in about 15 minutes. So if you are craving some pizza near downtown and you just need to pick-up, definitely recommend Alfredo's. We plan to order in the next time we stay downtown.

I stopped by a couple of times here on my recent trip to San Antonio. The first time was actually on my very first night in the Alamo City. It was getting pretty hot, and I wanted something to cool down. I was staying at a hotel just on the other side of College, and there happened to be this pizza and ice cream shop just steps away!Alfredo's is located at the base level of the Houston Street Garage, one of various parking garages in downtown San Antonio by the Riverwalk. The interior of the shop is pretty small, at least for the customer. It's just a few feet of walkway from entry to exit; the employees have way more space to walk around, so needless to say, don't expect to eat there unless you're lucky enough to snag one of the few tables they have just outside either door.On my first visit, I got one scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone. I want to say it was Cookies & Cream that I got, but I'm not 100% sure. I just remember it didn't really leave much of an impression other than cooling me down. Like the flavor didn't come out as strong as I hoped. Actually, I lied. I remember it melted pretty quickly, which I could have avoided, but I was approached by a homeless woman while I was waiting for the red light to turn green. Don't ask me how I dealt with that, but while I was trying to process that encounter in my head, next thing I knew, the ice cream had melted on my fingers. It didn't taste bad, but I wasn't keen on getting ice cream there again. On my second visit, I decided to try the Italian Ice. The prices weren't clear on the menu they had in the shop, so I had to ask Brandon, the employee who also served me on my first visit. I think he was a shift lead, but he was pretty cool. For the Italian Ice, I went with a two scoop cup, and the two scoops could have been different flavors.Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact names of the flavors, but I liked that Italian Ice better than the ice cream. The flavors were more prominent in each scoop, but still not enough in my opinion, especially with the size you get for the price point. As I mentioned before, Brandon was the employee who served me on both of my visits. Once I told him what I wanted, he'd get the sweet treat and hand it to me before I pay. I really hope unethical and immoral customers don't try to scurry away without paying if this practice is customary across all their employees, but I made sure to pay before enjoying my dessert. Keep in mind they don't give paper receipts; if you want one, you'll have to enter your email address on the order tablet, and then a receipt will be emailed to you.I was hoping to make a third visit to try a pizza. However, when I went, the line was pretty long, and I didn't know how long it'd take for them to prepare the pizza, so I decided to get some food back at my hotel instead. Bad timing there, unfortunately. On my first two visits, there was no other customer inside, but the one day I was interested in their pizza, several other customers suddenly decided to get something there.Overall, I didn't hate my sweet treats, but I didn't love them enough to give any more than an OK rating. If you want ice cream for a couple dollars less, I'd recommend going to CVS just a couple blocks south. Worth trying once though.

We were looking for something fast to take with us to eat while watching "The Saga" at San Fernando Cathedral and this was perfect. Pizza cooked fast and they hooked us up with plates and drinks. Small street side shop with a few tables out front. Offer pizza by the slice and pies. We got some ice cream in a dish for dessert. Was it the best pizza I ever had? No. But it was fast, fresh and friendly!

Stopped by after parking early for a show at the Majestic ad you can't beat the location. Alfredo's is itty bitty, just a couple two top tables inside and two standing and two more two top tables out in front. Got there just in time for a couple fresh pizzas to come out of the oven so tried a slice of the cheese and a slice of the pepperoni, it was the most cafeteria pizza tasting pizza I've ever had, lol. Really too me back to middle/high school, it wasn't bad, loved the chewy dough and the sweet sauce but it definitely harkens that nostalgic feel. Wouldn't be at the top of my list to frequent but super easy to swing in and out so long as the line doesn't build up too crazy. Might be tempted back in for the gelato but as far as the pizza, its just good enough to do in a pinch.

This was a small place with great service. It's perfect for something on the run. There are tables outside if you to stop to eat. I had the cannoli which was very good, made fresh when I ordered. I also tried the ice cream and the serving was generous. I never had the chance to try the pizza although it looked good and there seemed to be a lot of regulars picking up pizza. I would have tried it if I had more time.

What's not better than a local restaurant to support.I ordered a pepperoni pizza with a good ol fashion Dr. Pepper. Soon after with a strawberry waffle cone ice cream. Support and tip local restaurants. Definitely if you are a solo traveler, this is a place to visit. The service was quick and friendly. The environment was just perfect, but that was my luck with the cloudy weather in SA.
