Food and service were both amazing.I would love to come back here again. I tried carpaccio at so many restaurants and it was one of the best here in San Antonio.

The ambiance is beautiful and relaxing. The service is superb, Anna was excellent server. She was gracious and professional. We order the clam linguine and the chicken piccata both were good . The mushrooms were very tasty. Dessert was ice cream or more appropriate Spumoni. Pistachio, chocolate and strawberry! Nice evening for an anniversary or any special occasion.

It had been a while since I had been to Aldo's so went last night. Three of us sat at the bar. We had appetizers; meatballs, calamari, and caprese. All the appetizers were very good, meatballs were my favorite. I also ordered the minestrone soup. It's primarily vegetables, just so if you are expecting other items in the soup. It's very fresh and good. Fabulous service!

My favorite Italian restaurant in the city! I remember when it was in the medical center and then moved to a location minutes away from our neighborhood. Food and drinks are always excellent! We have been coming here for years and we are always treated like family with every visit. Aldo's is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or have a spontaneous fancy outing. Happy hour is a great option M-F and they're now open for lunch on Fridays! Highly recommend giving Aldo's a try!

We came here to celebrate husband's 35th birthday dinner. He loves a good lasagna and the kids like pasta, so it was a win win. Parking isn't bad since there are several open lot spots on multiple sides of the restaurant. We were seated rather quickly and our server arrived shortly thereafter. It wasn't super busy for a Sunday evening but it began to pick up pace around the time we were leaving. Our server didn't check in as much as I would have liked, but I don't have an issue flagging someone down. Drink wise, everyone was happy with their beverages. My blackberry mojito was refreshing! Appetizers: Calamari tasted good but I didn't find the marinara to be spicy as indicated on the menu. We loved the prosciutto & fig bruschetta! Ensalada: I LOVED the beet salad. Tho I love beets, goat cheese and arugula in general lol. I do wish they left larger chunks of pistachio for the texture balance but the flavors were well balanced. Husband enjoyed his cast iron lasagna - tho I think the portion was smaller than expected. The 12 y/o got carbonara for the first time and really really liked it. Really good flavor. My scampi colina had really large shrimp (yay!), jumbo lump crab, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and angel hair pasta with a lemon butter sauce. I wish I had more mushrooms and artichokes but that's a personal preference. The 7 y/o wanted ravioli. The only ravioli on the menu is a lobster ravioli with a vodka Rossini sauce. She was not a fan. So we ordered a pizza for her and took the pasta home with us. Our tab came to about $300ish for 2 adults & 2 kids with 4 entrees, 1 pizza, 2 appetizers, 2 lemonades & 3 alcoholic beverages.

The minestrone was underwhelming, no noodles or beans. Could have used more garlic and seasoning in general. Calamari was fine with a good marinara. The escargot had a slightly muddy taste , and were a tad greasy without the umami one expected. The scallops were melt-in-the-mouth delicious, however.

I find them to be Stodgy and self-important....the food is overpriced...and truthfully the food isn't very good. there are many other places that have excellent food and nice seating accommodation.

It's was a nice trendy restaurant with an amazing menu. But unfortunately for us the menu sounded better than it actually was. My wife had the ciopinno and that was pretty good. I had a roasted lamb on top of under seasoned risotto. I wasn't impressed with the food honestly. Service was just ok, had a waiter who was nice but didn't really talk that much, he just dropped off food and left. Not sure if we will return.

Essentially Aldo's is a beautiful restaurant with impeccable service. The food is well presented, but I did not find that the taste lived up to the cost.In the last two weeks I've tried the meatball appetizer at Paesano's, North Italia and Aldo's. Aldo's was better than Paesano's, but North Italia was better than Aldo's. I'll be visiting North Italia again soon.
