Alamo Biscuit Company & Panaderia

Stopped in for breakfast and I'm glad I used the YELP app to make a reservation as the line was long when I arrived. After being seated, I looked over the menu and decided to go with the lemon berry hotcakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. When the order came out, I added butter and syrup and dug in. The pancakes were light and fluffy and with the mix of berries and syrup, this made for a good bite. The scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked, but the bacon was nice and crispy. Overall, this made for a good breakfast, and I will come back to try more of the menu.

We originally ate here years ago & at the time we were not impressed. Recently after seeing this establishment on the news, wanted to revisit. Glad we decided to retry. Noticed right away the restaurant layout changed. One of my favorite dishes is eggs Benedict along with Chicken Fried Steak! Imagine both of your favorites in a meal! Just the right size of chicken fried steak! Everything was made to perfection specifically the eggs! I love a runny hot egg! You can't come here without trying the French Toast! Yes, the toast does not come any better! Spouse had the breakfast plate, eggs cooked as ordered, cooked & not runny! Variety of sausage, potatoes & of course biscuit gravy. No complaints here!I'd say the breakfast here is better than the breakfast establishment up the same road. Waitress attentive & provided suggestions. Casual restaurant, with a glass case of Mexican breads.

Ride the concha bike! This is a fun restaurant! The mural out front is an epic place for some SA photos! I love the artwork. I am a little concerned about the chicken that's made to look like Willie. What are they saying about Willie?! The concha bike is a one of a kind photo op in front of a huge painting of the Alamo! Say "Queso!" The menu is mostly known for their biscuits-- huge fluffy, flaky layered. Nom! They have them with all kinds of toppings, sides, egg dishes, hollandaise, sandwiches, you name it. The biscuits are the star of the show. They're huge, and some of the best in town. The dishes don't come with any sides. Anything and everything is extra. Want some salsa? That's extra. This place is supposed to be a panaderia, but when we arrived on a Sunday morning, the bakery shelf was empty. I was unimpressed with the service. It's slow. Our drinks went largely empty through most of the meal. When the staff had to move some chairs to accommodate a larger table, they dragged the chairs across the concrete floor making a huge racket that nobody could talk over. One by one they dragged them across the restaurant. It would have been a lot more pleasant if they had picked them up and carried them silently to the tables. The coffee here is pretty lame. It's watery. Tastes like some Cisco special that they buy by the giant bag, and brew by the gallon. They don't offer any specialty coffee drinks to go with your brunch. There's a coffee shop next door, if only they could find a way to serve good coffee to go with their biscuits. I wish they'd up their coffee game. It's free certain hours of the week, so maybe that's why it's such watery java.

First time here and we ordered online. First bite of my French toast there was a damn hair!! Embedded in there lk wtf, it was white or blonde white so pist and disgusted,Threw the shyt out didn't call bc I dnt plan on ever trying them again. Food was mid at best as it was.

Grateful great location and great vibe. Went for breakfast and my other half had the mail you see picture below, but I can't remember the name of it. Everywhere we go he gets biscuit and gravy and said this was good.!!

I can't say enough good things about Alamo Biscuit Co. It had been a while since I had been there, but it did not disappoint. The restaurant was clean and bright even on a gloomy, rainy morning. My server Bri was friendly and very helpful. My breakfast of shrimp Benedict with a side of potato hash was spicy and delicious. Coming from a morning appointment, this was the perfect place to stop before getting on with the rest of my day. If you haven't visited Alamo Biscuit Co then go today, you won't be dissapointed!

Food is great. Usually be prepared to wait for your table and your food, unless you get there super early. They do have a two hour maximum time limit for seating. They only have regular black coffee and will redirect you to Archie's next door for specialty coffee. The brisket, potatoes and bacon here are my favorite.

Alamo Biscuit & Panaderia is a client/friend of Samantha Najera's of Bean and Chisme, who I worked with and is a friend of mine. She LOVES this place, so I stopped in this morning to check it out. Stop, drop, and roll! This place is fire! The coffee was good but the Chicken Fried Steak Benedicts, get out of here! So delicious!! I've never had a brunch item this good! Brie, my fabulous hostess earlier today, made the recommendation and she was spot on! This place is worth making a trip to.

Came here for the first time around 10am, place was pretty busy but we got seated right away in the outdoor patio. Found this place on TikTok and the food looks awesome, had to see for ourselves. The patio was a cute area, had fake grass bench tables next to the bar and it connects to the coffee shop next door. Bartender was awesome, he was really busy but still managed to keep track of our food, refills and bussing. The food was good highly recommended the Brisket Mac Fries. Glad we have this place a go. Next time we'll actually order something with biscuits in it.
