Where do I start???My wife had worked with the Manager recently while researching catering options for her office. She is planning her High School reunion and decided to arrange for a tasting at Absolutely with a fellow classmate. Along the way I got dragged into the meal along with our friends.First, the venue is not too bad, I wouldn't expect more than 100 guests could fit without being cramped. The band was much too loud for the venue, no one wants rock concert volumes at a dinner. The service was awful, more than awful, it was terrible. The waitress was unable to name the available wine types (Red and White????). I asked for a Jack and Coke and received a Crown and Coke without being asked if the substitution was ok. She was slow, food arrived only after my wife asked the manager for assistance. Prices are much too high for a catering service. Toritlla chips were 'homemade' but were very stale. Avoid Absolutely until they figure out how to execute properly.

I usually come here for a business networking luncheon. The service is usually pretty good. The decor is basic and well charming I believe is the word. Nice big wood bar area. The place is hidden so unless you know exactly where to go. You can pass it by easily. Last Time i had thespinach and mushroom stuffed chicken breast with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes with a buttermilk crossant. The chicken was cooked right and was juicy. However that is the extent of praise for that fish. To me it was a bit under seasoned. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. The veggies were good too but again bland. The cheesecake desert was good but nothing to write home about .Overall a decent dining experience.

Mashed potatoes and chicken cordon blue are amazing. The caterers ran out of cordon blue and served some guests chicken piccata. Reasonable pricing and good choices for chargers, table cloth, runners. Great bartender. I used this group for my wedding in January 2011. I asked about the facility my reception was being held at 2 days before my wedding bcs the heater wasn't on at Scottish Rite (reception location) (these caterers are the only caterers used at Scottish Rite), I was told heaters worked and not to worry by staff at Absolutely everything. The morning of my wedding my family found out that the caterer was not honest with us and the heater would not only be off for my wedding but had been broken for 2 weeks. Things like broken heaters happen but being dishonest is the reason my guests remember my wedding as being the coldest they have ever been to. Although this did not ruin my special day, I think my family and I could have remedied the problem w space heaters had we known the problem.

Just ate lunch here for the first time for a "Learn and Lunch" to hear about the solar thermal heaters available commercially. This is a great little place to host meetings, in theory. It would have been better if we weren't sharing the dining space with two groups, albeit each group was pretty small; I had a hard time hearing the spokesperson of our meeting while the group behind the projector screen were laughing and carrying on. It was mildly amusing that you could hear everything that was being said in the kitchen... but again, was distracting to our meeting.I can't even remember the last time I tasted a less-than-$10 steak that tasted so good. It was pretty darn good quality, thin cut ribeye that hit the spot for a luncheon. The vegetables, I'll assume were meant to be blanched or steamed from the condensation and heat of them, were still pretty firm... the carrots were still very crunchy for a side item for a steak plate. The herb-mashed potatoes were pretty good; had a couple of lumps, which for me is always a good indication that they used real potatoes. For dessert, I had the option of the apple pie with or without icecream... A La Mode, si vou plait! (sp)Even though this was a business type lunch, I couldn't help but notice the impressive-sized bar to the side and middle of the dining area. I could totally see myself hosting a masquerade ball here among a group of 20 friends.I would rate the quality to be a step above a family steakhouse like Jim's. They intend to feed a large group of people as cheaply but impressively as possible (I think they cater weddings and such) and they hit that mark.

Bland terrible and overpriced. The menu was also extremely boring. The side of mixed vegetables was cooked to death as if it was part of a catered meal from the evening prior.

I wish I could leave NEGATIVE stars! This "caterer" was providing breakfast & lunch for my son's school. One day all the parents received an email from the school letting us know that breakfast was no longer going to be served because the caterer said it was not "cost efficient" for them. Ok? They could have at least given us prior notice instead of making such a drastic change from one day to the next. But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Priorities, I get it. You gotta look out for you. Feeding kids breakfast was not cost effective, so they scrapped it. That brings me to lunch. Oh lunch...I've never heard so many complaints in my life!! The food was pretty much always cold. The menu itself was a little bazaar (who serves carne guisada & picadillo to middle schoolers?). My son said most of the kids didn't even know what some of the food was (see the above mentioned appetite killers). There was an infamous meatloaf that was topped with ketchup. KETCHUP! Just like mom makes, right??? The cold hotdog, the soggy tacos. The list goes on & on. But the last straw was when the caterers didn't even show up. The Head of School had to serve lunch that day. There was ONE pan of lasagna for EVERYONE to share. No one knew where it even came from. Did the caterers drop it off then leave? Had the lasagna always been there? Maybe it was divine intervention. Who knows? Luckily everyone was fed with a sliver of said lasagna. Today they sent over corn dogs in a box. This catering company is a joke! Lousy food & lousy service. Personally, I'm glad to be rid of Chef Disgusting. Now we can begin our search for a good, reputable caterer. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Have passed by, and saw this place was open for lunch from 11-2. Stopped in, place well decorated but no one in the place. Menu seemed decent some sandwiches and he waitress told us about a fish dish that was on special. Opted for the club sandwich with homemade fries and just water. When our sandwiches arrived, no homemade fries, they were frozen fries, no real American cheese in sandwich, resembled Kraft singles. When asked about the homemade potato chips. The waitress stated she guessed the chef did not make them today.Needless to say, won't be eating here again and do not recommend it! SORRY!

Our organization contracted for our annual holiday event in Dec 2012. My previous experience with this establishment had been very good so I confidently scheduled our awards dinner. Boy, what a mistake that was. I arrived an hour before the event and found fully dressed salads already sitting on the tables. Dinner was a disaster, cold, flavorless food served to 76 diners by only two harried servers. Vegetarian option served with chicken pieces added and the person with all pepper allergies was served a side of grilled peppers. Stay clear of this place - the death of the mush respected owner a year ago has clearly had an impact on this once fine establishment.
