A-Tan Sushi and Asian Bistro

Modern and clean restaurant with excellent service! The food was delicious and the lunch special is unbeatable!

The hubs and I heard this restaurant was good. It sure was! And what a pretty restaurant!

I really like the Seguin location for ATan. They've turned an old house into a beautiful restaurant. I've only gone for lunch and the service moved pretty quickly. I can't say how dinner time is but it looks like a good place to go for a date.I ordered the 3 roll lunch special and there were about 10 rolls to choose from. There was a good amount of fish in each roll. The food was really good.Yum! This place had some of the best hot and sour soup that I've had in a long time!!! It's so good I also ordered a cup to go for my dinner.

We love this place! The owner really cares about his restaurant. It's a great spot for date night. We like sitting where you can watch them prepare the sushi.

Delicious food and great friendly service. The young lady that waited on us did an amazing job. Her name is Leila L. Thank you Leila for being so sweet and great at serving. The atmosphere and ambiance was nice as well. Welcoming and very feel at home kind of feeling. The walking path just outside the back is very inviting for a little stroll after a nice dinner. Unfortunately, we didn't get to walk the path this time. We will most certainly be returning for a second go at it. The nice little bar is nice while you wait for your table. The food and service are great. I would never have thought that Seguin would have a Japanese restaurant of it's caliber for years to come. The fact that it has been here for years makes it even more special. I would have drive to San Antonio and Austin to get quality sushi. I don't have to leave Seguin for great sushi??? That is the miracle that I never thought was possible and I have been living the dream now for years.

I have to admit it was in an odd part of town, driving up I felt like I was waking into someone's house. Once inside I was immediately greeted and sat. Menu is great and has many options to choose from. I ordered in of the large rolls and two others. I was in a food coma after leaving! Ate way too much, but the taste was spot on and excellent! Service was outstanding and my tea glass never emptied. They have a really nice patio, that would be a great spot on cooler days. Would highly recommend this gem!

This place is awesome . Been here a couple of times . Tried the fried squid legs which were sooooo good. Got the canyon roll which was delicious. My date got the general tsos chicken and it was honestly the best thing , I actually ate more of her plate than my own sushi roll. Not even gona lie, I judged her for ordering General Tsos at a sushi joint, but I'm glad she did lol. It was even good the next day when I ate it cold out of my fridge. Everything was great, super fresh, and the service was 5 stars for sure. They also have Sapporo beer which is my go to when I eat Japanese food. Recommended !

We went to eat at 7pm at this place and it was pretty busy and full but we were able to get a seating for 6 pretty quick. The place looks small from the outside but it's roomie inside. I noticed two bar areas and nice dinning area. We ordered appetizers: fried oysters, crab puffs and gyoza. I always appreciate and pay extra attention to the timing of appetizers and main coarse serving time so I was glad that appetizers came out first and main coarse came later instead of at the same time. The appetizers were great. Flavorful and fresh. For the main coarse we had chicken katsu that came with fried rice and soup. The egg drop soup and wonton soup was awesome. It was full of flavor. The main coarse was also just as good. Katsu plate was presented nicely, fresh and crispy. The husband had the pan fried noodle combo which was good. The noodles were fried crispy and hard but with added sauce with veggies and protein it soften noodles for fresher taste. All in all we will definitely be back and hopefully with out kids to sample the drinks and other options of food.

In my opinion, A-Tan wins both spots for best sushi place in Seguin, and best restaurant in Seguin. Serving quality sushi, bento boxes, rice and noodle dishes, it far exceeds the average culinary quality found in the small town. I've never had a bad dish and even the most common menu items, those found in all American Asian Fusion restaurants, are prepared well.The sushi bar is displayed prominently and the chefs greet everyone as they come or as they leave, thanking them for dining with them, which is sweet. The staff is courteous and expedient. We never had to wait too long to be served or for our food to come out, even during busy times.A-Tan is right next to a recently renovated park with a short but serene riverwalk, as well as the brand new and beautiful city library. A few blocks further there's the old square with its historical buildings and shops. It's a nice location.If I had to compare A-Tan to an upscale big city sushi restaurant, I would probably have to knock out at least one star from my rating. But for a small town restaurant, and compared to the average sushi place, even in busy cities, I think A-Tan deserves all its stars. I definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
