I come here pretty often, and I can say the shop has a very cute interior. Baked goods line half of the walls, with seating right across. They have a kiosk right when you walk for drink orders, but you can also order at the front. The shop is self-serve, so you grab the items you want and take it to the front to pay. The workers are always very nice!I usually get the strawberry cream square and a fudge nut brownie (I didn't get it this time), but I also love the spicy sausage roll and Hokkaido cheese tart. The strawberry cream square is always the perfect sweet treat! It's very delicious, light, and not overly sweet! I love the fresh strawberries on top and the cooked ones in the middle. I can never get tired of this dessert, and I literally always get it when I go.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but the customer service at 85°C Bakery has taken a noticeable downturn compared to the early days after opening. We really miss the warm and caring presence of the Filipina manager (possibly part of the opening team). During her time, every team member was extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making visits a real pleasure. The shift in service quality first stood out to me on December 24th, when I dropped by to pick up cakes and pastries. Then again on December 31st, the experience repeated itself. The young lady assisting at the cake counter wasn't warm or helpful--her responses were curt and quick, almost snobbish. I understand that staff can have off days, but this felt like part of a broader pattern. On the same day, I also noticed the men's restroom was messy. While it didn't smell bad, it was visibly unclean, especially around the sink area, which was disappointing. We visited again recently, and unfortunately, the high standard of customer service we once loved is still missing. It's hard to ignore how different the atmosphere feels now. Previously, the staff managed to stay attentive and kind even during busy times. Now, the kitchen seems disorganized, and the team doesn't carry the same warmth or energy. That said, we keep coming back because the baked goods remain consistently excellent. However, I truly hope the management can address the service issues and bring back the level of care and attention this location was once known for--perhaps starting with the return of the Filipina manager who clearly made a difference. Not really sure if it just me but this is one less star for these several visits including today.

Stopped by for a quick snack while running errands today. I had an iced pumpkin latte with an extra shot of espresso, along with a potato pastry and a premium milk pastry. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent! There was a great variety, and what I picked was spot on.

I've been to plenty of 85 degree bakeries and this one was just as great, if not better, than some of the ones I've visited before. This location is SPACIOUS. Coming in the afternoon on a weekend, there were still plenty of pastries and cakes available. The pastries can range from $1.80 to $8-10 depending on the type and quantity. Drink orders can be done at a kiosk or in person at the counter. Don't rig yourself, make sure you sign up for 85 degree rewards (they have an app!).

We went on a Friday during lunch and the parking lot was quite packed. It was hard to find parking which means this place must be good but it's worth the walk if you have to park far!Walking in, it's quite open, big screens and you can clearly see the bakery and drink bar as it's an open concept. Many of their yummy treats were already scavenged but there was someone there replenishing them. Every pastry looked amazing! I couldn't make up my mind! I wanted one of everything, but had to restrain myself! You can see the magic happen in the back as all their pastries are made fresh right there at the bakery! The prices, in my opinion, were very reasonable for the amount of craft, time and effort they put into each baked goods! They have a showcase of desserts, all their bread like pastries. They have all type of teas to your delight! You can spend hours here! What we ordered:- choco bun: soft, pillowy goodness with a great chocolate bread like texture and a yummyChocolate filling inside. It was perfectly filled and not overly sweet! It's similar to a steamed bun texture, a bit chewy but fabulous! - Ube Bread: if you love ube, you will love this! The outside of the bread has a touch of sweetness and the filling isn't overly sweet either. The bread was soft and luscious. - Mango custard bun: soft muffin like texture with a mango filling. I honestly didn't get too much mango flavoring but it was still very good. - mango delight: this is a simply beautiful dessert. A mango mousse covered with, I believe a mango gelatin. Unfortunately, my daughter did not like it because it wasn't sweet enough. It was a bit tart with a touch of sweetness and I loved it! - royal chocolate cup: hazelnut inspired, it has either a raspberry or strawberry purée with a very light chocolate mouse and a dark chocolate ganache on top with three Ferrero Rocher on top. Not overly sweet again and perfect IMO. - strawberry chiffon cake: (I think that's the name). This was super light, very much like an angel food cake, with a light cream in the middle and a strawberry on top. My daughter devoured these two! Pick certain flavors you absolutely love, then find one or two you wouldn't think you'd eat! Not many people may like the pastry because it's not overly sweet like traditional American sweets. It's very subtle. The majority of the treats I got were so fluffy, airy, moist, not overly sweet and just scrumptious! It did take some time to check out as there was only one person at the check out counter but well worth the wait! If I'm in the area, I will definitely stop again!!! So glad they have one of these here and introducing San Antonio to Asian inspired foods! Allowing everyone to immerse themselves in a diverse world will only bring us closer together! Keep exploring San Antonio!

I just love 85 degrees and you can't go wrong with any of their pastries and desserts! One of the most underrated items on their menu is their selection of boba teas and coffee. Everything I have tried has been delicious. This trip I had a hot sea salt coffee. No bitterness and not too sweet, perfect!I loaded up on a bunch of pastries. Here are some of my top picks: marble taro, ube, mango panna cotta, tiramisu cheesecake, and the mango bun.

There is no way you won't be able to find you something you like at this place. There are different kinds of pastry , cookies, bread, twists, specilty treats and cakes here to select. Grab yourself a tray and start loading it up with your goodies. Get there early for the best seection, although they do restock throughout the day, towards the end of the day there are way less selection to choose from. This is a good size place with half of it set for bakery and half of it for sitting. Get the app for discounts and promotions. Not only do they offer pasteries they offer cakes, teas, boba, coffee and an assortment of other drinks. My first visit to 85° C was in Dallas and although I'm glad we have one here, it is not the same at the one in Dallas, it is far bigger amd far busier

Finally had the chance to come and check this place out. It has been extremely busy since its opening. The place is not huge but does have a variety of baked goods. It was so hard not to pick up everything I saw. I chose a few selected items that I thought looked tasty. The tiramisu was amazing, so was the cheesecake. The garlic cheese bread was okay a little more on the garlic side. The melon gelatin was bland. I did enjoy my black tea and my husband ordered a smoothie which was the best smoothie I have ever had.The prices were more than reasonable but did get more expensive with specialized items. They also have a reward system with their app. You are given a complementary coffee when you sign up so definitely download the app and take advantage of that. They also have coupons and specials on the app. Costumer service was good. I can see me coming back and having a few things. I saw more that I wish to try. I will be back and would recommend to others.

Excellent outlet of an excellent bakery chain. Not much in the way of seating and it's pretty basic, but the service is efficient and parking is easy. There's a smaller selection at this location than the one in Austin but what they have is superb. Egg custard tarts with flaky and perfect crust. Their mocha-flavored cake has the sting of dark coffee and my favorite, the multi-layered opera cake, is a thing of beauty. Worth trying at any price! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below.5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here.4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary.3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad.2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here.1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.
