259 Brantley's Bistro

This bistro has great food and drinks. We ordered the axis burger with fries & the cheese curds with hatch chile ranch. The cheese curds were delicious and so was the ranch. The axis burger was flavorful and juicy. The fries were seasoned well. The Summer Green Tea is a drink with Jameson, peach liquor, sweet and sour, and soda water. It is sweet and strong, which is the best kind of drink!

The good: a beautiful bistro with charm and a great small town feel. The food was decent, although nothing to write home about.The bad: a severe inability to accept criticism and poor behavior lending to the very negative reviews posted in the past.All in all if the customer service was better, we would consider returning, however that is not currently the case.

The service here was great, they were friendly and accommodating. The food was good but the menu was very limited. The homemade chips, fries, and homemade ketchup were all fan favorites at the table. The location is right in the heart of downtown Boerne and the outside looks like a great place to have a drink as like a little beer garden type place. Inside isn't large but it's got a cute farmhouse type decor.

Really only came here tonight to see if the vibe was good and try out a new spot, and I was not disappointed! Chill little bar outside where there's live music (Saturday @9pm) and a lot of space to drink and relax! Service was really good and our drinks were ready really fast! We didn't order any food, but when we saw some pass by it all looked great! The cover band that was playing was not the best, but really good, and gave the crowd a good time with classics to sing along to! Definitely recommend if you want to have a nice time out in Boerne!

So I have eaten brunch here a number of times with friends over several years at 259 Brantley's Bistro. I've tried a bunch of items off the brunch menu over the years and have enjoyed them all. This time I went big as it is quite a full plate and one I could not finish. But had the leftovers for lunch the following day. The wild boar schnitzel was nice and crisp with no grease taste to it. The bacon was delicious and the eggs were perfect...not too hard, not toò runny. The potatoes added a nice bite to the meal. The tiny green beans were nice but I didn't get an almondine flavor. But that might be me not the dish. As I have been on antibiotics. All in all well worth the cost of the meal. In fact I had plans to stop at another place for dessert but I was just too full. Now I ordered a frozen margarita for the first time there... I got a small. It was a very generous pour. In fact I drank little of it as I knew I was driving back to San Antono. Again unusual for me but you might want to take a driver when you try it the first time.We had a group of about 16 and the nook was set aside for us. We could not have had better service...two waitstaff, one for each side of the room. Our waitresses was very nice. Patient with people trying to decide what to eat. So many goodies to chose from, never rushing anyone, answering questions with a smile. My long table seemed very satisfied with their meals. Crab cakes, three sets of eggs benedict, salad with added shrimp, another wild boar plate and I missed one or two. The consensus of the bottom of the table was you had to try the pitcher of fresh berry lemonade and it did look wonderful! It is a bit of a drive from my part of San Antonio but when not rushing I used to take Babcock to Boerne Stage Rd with turns into Scenic loop rd and eventually crosses I10. Which was a nice drive...I'm afraid it might be built up with houses now.

Owner is ver rude! Horrible customer service . She needs learn how to talk to customers.

The Food is always delicious. Not the usual menu items. Eg. Texas Quail, Pomegranate pistachio salad! I love their house made potato chips.Live music in the evenings on the weekends on the back patio top it all off!

This restaurant is a MUST if you're in town. We always stop here when we are up in Boerne, they have the perfect portions for sharing if you wish.We are always seated quickly and service is on point every time.You truly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I would definitely double check their hours before heading out, they operate different hours than most places.

Went for lunch and the inflation of food cost has made my lunch bad My Cuban sandwich had only two very small thin slices of ham and some thick cut pickles To make it look like a nice sandwich, which was a shame, bread and pickles were very disappointing Can't blame the owners, blame FJB he cr

I had the Axis Burger, and it was literally the best burger I have ever eaten in my life. It tasted like it was cooked by smoking it, which gave it a barbecue flavor. The provolone cheese and bacon complemented the burger perfectly. The whole wheat sourdough bun was amazing. Super fresh vegetables to top it off with perfectly cooked fries.Highly recommended. I would gladly take the 2 hour drive from Austin to eat here again!The service was excellent and fast. Quaint, comfortable and clean restauran!
