My favorite ramen spot so far in Seattle! I like the tampopo shoyu. Since I don't eat pork I get it with just the veggies, I and add a little soy sauce and their garlic chili paste and it gets me right every time. You can taste the quality, time and effort in their noodles and broth! I always forget to take a photo because I dive in and by that time it's too late The ambience can use a little work but with noodles that fulfilling the ambience obviously doesn't matter. I have had some issues with online orders (grub hub) with just specifying my order since I don't eat meat. But I've learned it's just best to come in and enjoy it in house where I can tell the server just how I like it. The owner Ryo and the chef are always nice and accommodating!

Came here during lunch time. The ramen was so delicious. We got the mushroom ramen and I definitely recommend it. Make sure to come here next time you are in Seattle!

I used to come here often in freshman year (I'm a senior now), but Samurai has lost its appeal now that I'm willing to walk further for some good food. The soup here is consistently too salty and has almost a powdery tendency to it -- maybe because the base is a little thick. I frequently end up having to down a bunch of water and though the portions do keep me full, there's way more better noodle places on the Ave now!The pieces of meat in the Shoyu Ramen are decent enough, but the toppings are pretty boring all around -- corn, bean sprouts, edamame -- I'm personally a big fan of nori and other slightly more interesting bits.Service is simple and you pay at the register, so not much to say on that front. I'll still visit once in a while, but it's mediocre in my palate.

I'm not sure what happened to this place. Walked in, and there were flies swarming in the restaurant. The doors were open, so I thought nothing of it.The fried chicken was not good well. The potatoes crochet were under done. When I got my order, it was completely wrong. I just left the restaurant.

Spotted this place while walking and have liked the food. Good food and great price definitely. We ordered the Garlicky chicken bowl which came with jasmine rice and Pork Ramen which was so good. Will come back to try more dishes!

First time at Samurai. Ordered the miso ramen. The broth was nicely thick and flavorful but pretty salty. The vegetables went well with the broth. The noodles were a little plain in my opinion and I wish the cuts of meat were thicker. The ambiance inside was a little sketchy and the seating wasn't amazing but this is a decent spot to grab some quick, cheap ramen.

I tried Samurai Noodle the 1st time forever ago when I first moved to Seattle and did not particularly remember if I liked the ramen or not. I've been avoiding coming based on the reviews but I just happened to be in the area and decided to give their ramen another try and got the tonkatsu ramen. I set my expectations low and just as I had expected, it was overall disappointing. The ramen's presentation was nice but the broth was lacking depth and flavor. It tasted very watered down. I just slurped it down because I was hungry but it was not worth the price for the quality. On the positive side, service was fast. I was seated when I arrived. The bowl arrived within 10 minutes after I ordered. It's a quick dine-in experience similar to how it is in Japan. I don't think I will come back unless they make any improvements to the broth. I've tried practically every ramen restaurant in the greater Seattle area so my standards are very high. The taste of the broth is everything to me when it comes down to enjoying a good bowl of ramen.

Happen to be in U.District so stopped into Samurai Noodle for the first time. Service was good. I decided on the the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. It was good but not as spicy as I expected and have had elsewhere. I did not ask for hot sauce. Also I would recommend the extra meat add-on as it was a bit light there.

I'm surprised to see this place has less than a 4 star. I have never had a bad experience here. The mushroom ramen is great and we love the gyoza as an app!
