Sammy's Burger

I've never eaten anything from this place that wasn't anything less that delicious. The Belgium waffle is delicious and the burgers will definitely fill you up. The staff are kind of a hit or miss though. There was one bald man with beard who seemed like he genuinely wanted to be anywhere else. There was a group of girls though who were super polite and patient while we ordered. The booths aren't very comfortable, but other than those two things I think the place is a little hidden gem.

RECOMMENDED for Vacation Rental Guests and locals! The service is great, and can be very personable. They do get busy-so get there early. IT is a small staff, but that does keep the prices down. We have eaten there SEVERAL times, and can vouch for breakfasts and lunches. (We try to eat dinner at home! = P. ) Breakfasts are the best-deal if you like to eat out. Nothing has been bad and we go with different people who have come out happily surprised. (Including our Vacation Renters who we recommend Sammys are returning patrons.) The reviewer who complain about a $25.00 for a combo, must be referring to a COUPLE-of-combo's. If you are use to McDonalds, this isn't the place for you-they cook to order if you ask, and they don't complain if you change the menu up. (The Hawaiian burger is to die for! ) YES, it IS true they are generous with condiments-and for the past 5 years, we have not once dealt with any one item that's been spoiled, or bad. IT IS A Momma & Pappa restaurant, the food is not cookie-cutter. Onion rings? Great with ranch dressing- if you want THE BEST onion rings, try Dylan's restaurant at Wild Life Zoo!

I order a steak sandwich the meat was so dry ! and so tough! the kétchup was bad maybe they keep it outside too long.. The pastrami was OK but not good . the food was so good before...: 30 dollars fir just a few bites of my sandwich so disappointed.

I was craving a burger but didn't want the usual fast food, and didn't have time for a sit-down restaurant. I remembered hearing about Sammy's Burger from someone, so I checked it out.It's counter service, plenty of seating, and they bring your food to your table. Fountain drinks, free refills. My burger was excellent. It's located on Estrella Parkway in Goodyear, only a couple minutes south of I-10 in a little strip mall with a Senor Taco (also very good, BTW).I recommend Sammy's Burger, I know I'll be going back soon.

We ordered via phone and all of the prices online were incorrect. We ended up paying 30% more than we expected and the burgers were average - didn't even have that homely feel you'd expect from a burger spot.

Great service and great food. This place reminds me of an old styled mom and pop shop from the 90's when I was a kid getting a good old fashioned char broiled burger. Nothing flashy or special about this place just plain old good burgers and fries the way they were intended to be. The chili cheese fries were great as well. My wife and I will definitely be coming back.

Not impressed. Burger was very thinPiled Hugh with brown lettuce and pickels. The tomato looked like it was cut from a roma. 1 standard burger 1 California burger combos all for a walping 25.00. The bathrooms could use a cleaning, very dirty. The two ladies working the counter could use training in customer service. Overall not a great experience. 3 stars are for the fries.

Good Staff, Good Service, Good Good Food ! Take it easy on the condiments and it would have been perfect. Nice, quiet eating place for families and small groups.. Thanks

The burger here was just ok - the patty itself doesn't really seem fresh. What really sold us was the service. The guy at the counter was so friendly and helpful. It's a nice place to just get a local burger, and there is a lot of food that comes with the meal.

The customer service there sucks. They made a mistake with my order and refused to fix the problem. So I told her she has the worst customer service and that I would make a report on her, than she refused me service period. After drive 20 miles back and forth! So mad. I will never go there again!
