I do not understand these reviews. Sammich (and I don't use this lightly) IS ICONIC. Porkstrami is the zombie sauce could win any sauce competition in America. The version of a burger is straight seriously. To those choosing to project your bad day in this place is just sad. THIS IS ONE OF THE EBST SANDWICH SHOPS YOULL EVER TRY PERIOD - FULL - STOP. K ... bye

Had the Cubano sandwich with fries. Project 9 Brewery was very busy today so there was a long lineup for food (20-30 minutes). They were pretty quick with getting orders in, but the wait for food was about an hour, so ate some there but ended up taking most home and reheating later (hence the toasty photo)Cubano sandwich - really great flavor depth and variety in each bite. Love the pickles in there, good meat, and nice seasoning. Bread was a little on the soggier side, but was much better after I re-toasted. Fries - not too salty, lightly seasoned. Crispy with that harder crunch/crisp to it. Medium thickness, straight fries - not quite as thick as a steak fry but thicker than most typical fries. The creamy mustard/mayo-y sauce on the side was just ok. Overall, really enjoyed the sandwich and the fries - flavor was 10/10z Reason for 4 vs 5 stars - for the price ($25 after tax/tip) would have expected slightly bigger portion size. Sandwich was a decent size but could have eaten more after, and the bread being on the soggier/greasy side. The long wait was also a bit unexpected for a food truck. However, definitely want to come back and try more of the menu.

My search for a decent beef outside Chicago that isn't Portillos continues. And even some hard-core chicagoans would tell me to shut up with that suburb portillos crap.Anyway about this beef. The bread.... the bread is so key. They toast the bread.. fine... but then they say its slightly wet and then to ask for it dipped if you want more. It came out pretty dry, but it did come with a side of juice. Dipping in was not fun. And the juice was meh.The beef, thicker slices than one would expect. This impacts the mouth feel and felt a little dry. The peppers...sweet and giardiniera? First time for everything I guess. I'm a sweet pep guy. Maybe it's my mind wanting a traditional execution but I did not get that. Overall I just can't justify $15 for something that doesn't represent the $6-8 original. I bring back beefs on nearly every trip home. Even with the Seattle mark up I can't stand by this. I'm willing to punish my wallet if it didn't hurt my brain. But my brain broke.

Got the tuna melt with avocado and a side of fries with zombie sauce. Total was $30 before tip. The avocado was almost non-existent and the fries were soggy. This place is normally solid but really disappointed today.

Pretty disappointing sandwich. Ordered the Italian beef to try their specialty, but it really fell flat. Not much flavor in any component of the sandwich. I added the provolone and asked for it dipped, but that didn't seem to do anything. Ordered a side of zombie slaw which seemed to be mayonnaise soaked arugula, not great either. Really wanted to like this place since it seemed highly anticipated, but will not be returning.

I love the original Sammich location in Portland. I am a sandwich guy and the couple times there I had some of the best sandwiches of my life. I was super excited to see this location open at Project 9 because I love their beer but the sandwiches have really disappointed. I have had 3 and each has been not good. The pastrami has been really tough and rubbery, almost feeling microwaved. I hate to give a bad review, but in this case the food quality is just not there. On the plus side, the fries are really good and pair very well with a pint of IPA.

I stopped by Project 9 Brewing a few weeks ago and saw this food truck perched outside of the front door. After a beer, or two, I figured I'd give it a try. Apparently, it's related to a slew of different food trucks/restaurants down in Oregon and - if the name didn't give it away already - based around sandwiches (surprise surprise).A buddy and I split the Porkstrami and the Pastrami Zombie, with some fries on the side. The sandwiches were a very healthy size and delicious. The buns were perfect - not stale like a few other unnamed food trucks out there. Now onto the sandwiches themselves (cause let's face it, fries are pretty much standard fare - though they were good):The Porkstrami - This thing was big. The pork loin was moist, had a great smoke flavor to it and generously piled on. The Zombie Slaw added a nice crunch to the mix and the Zombie sauce seemed nice enough). I would get this one again. The Pastrami Zombie - It was like a smokier version of a traditional reuben, if you really like meat. I think I prefer the porkstrami a bit more, but this thing was good. This one was on rye bread really making it very reubin-esque.They seem pretty new, but of the food truck fare I've had, this seemed the most restaurant-like. Highly recommend.

Had been wanting to try this place for a while, but every time we've been in Portland, we just never managed to make it happen. So we were super happy to see them open a location in Seattle! We got there on a Sunday, 10 mins before they were due to open. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, they had to delay opening by an hour - all were super apologetic, but at the the end of the day family comes first so regardless or whether they were apologetic or not, we would have understood! So we came back an hour later and got to order - I had the porkstrami and hubby had the pastrami zombie. Both sandwiches were great, however we did have similar comments to one another in that there was a lot of liquid in the slaw, so it did make it really messy and a bit difficult to eat.Overall though, it was really good - I loved the addition of the grilled jalapeno in mine - would have loved even more of those to be honest as they were sooo good! I think for the amount of food you get, the price point is fair and I'd be happy to pay it again to go back.We had the fires too and these were also really good - great flavor and cooked perfectly. What was really nice at the end, was the owner flagged my hubs down to ask what he thought. She was super friendly and open to feedback and just all-round pleasant. Will definitely be back!

Pro tip: Despite the name, go for the Cubano, it's one of my favorite sandwiches in Seattle. The adjacent brewery has ample indoor and outdoor seating plus free play arcade games!
