We came for brunch on a Saturday and it was packed! Thankfully seating at the bar is walk in so we were able to get a seat quickly. The service was friendly and prompt. We started with a mimosa and an Earl Grey based cocktail (I can't find the name of it on the menu). The Earl Grey was pretty interesting as it had the taste of the tea, and also the lemonade but also the taste of the alcohol - we were not so sure it all came together into one unified drink but are happy that we tried it. The waffle with the heated syrup was a nice touch. The waffle was also different than the kind we were originally picturing but we liked it, the only thing is that it would be nice to get more than just one thin waffle in an order. We particularly enjoyed the fluffiness of the omelette. The bacon, avocado, tomato, and sour cream along with the sweet salsa tied so nicely together. The hash browns could have been crispier and we would have liked if the toast that came with the omelette was served on a separate plate and toasted more (it wasn't very crisp when we got it).

LONG WAIT ON SHORTEST DAY IN THIS SEMI-SWANKY SIT-DOWN JOINTActually, closer to 3 1/2 stars. An old friend and his wife invited me to come to dinner with them on December 21, 2023. They took me to the Sammamish Café in Sammamish WA. This was on a Thursday night. Nevertheless, we did have to wait about 20 minutes before we could be seated. But that was fine as we just simply took a little walk around the shopping center for about 10 minutes before returning to the restaurant. About 10 minutes or so later, the name of our group was called. If we had to wait 20 minutes on a Thursday night, I can only imagine the wait on a Friday or Saturday night would've been longer. DECEPTIVELY QUIET ATMOSPHERE BELIED THE CROWD? OR WAS I DISTRACTED BY ROSES?But the generous portion of their delicious grilled chicken salad was worth it, as well as the camaraderie I had with my friends. The atmosphere was also suitable for me. But it did take a while for us to get waited upon and an even longer while before our order arrived. But the waiter said the place was fairly crowded, even though it did not seem crowded enough to justify that long a wait. It just did not seem that noisy. You be the judge as I took a photo inside the restaurant. But because I enjoyed being with my friends, it was not too big a deal. (this was a rare occasion in which I actually stopped to smell the roses). But once the food came, I considered the whole experience worth it. My friend treated me, so therefore I did not pay close attention to the prices, but they seemed to be moderately priced. GREAT FOOD! GIVE'EM A PASS WITH THE WAIT, BUT WE WERE A LITTLE WINCY RE: NO APPLEPAYWe were kind of disappointed that they do not accept Apple Pay. The Digitally dexterous millennials and generation Z crowd (who can tap out a text message with one hand) may not care, but us fumble-fingered baby boomers, consider having to dig our credit cards out of our wallets a "pay cut." In my book, If they did have mobile pay (Apple Pay and Google pay) and the wait were not so long, that would have bumped them up to an overall 5 stars. But they do get five stars in the food quality department. (so THAT'S explains the long wait!) Bon appétit!

Solid 4 stars. I was skeptical since Yelp rated it 3.5 stars, but I had to try it considering the wait is always an hour on a weekend.Parking is easy. What you need to get is get on the online waitlist. I loved that I can sign up at home and then I get a text confirming I'm on the list. I can also see how far along the list I am. They will send you a text when your table is almost ready, then give you a 10 min notification they're holding your table before moving to the next person on the waitlist.Servers were friendly, attentive, and efficient. I never really had to look for my server. She was always around, buzzing table to table.Food is very good. Generous portions. I got the prime rib dip and it was absolutely delicious. They have a kids menu with tons of choices. My toddler got the breakfast sandwich and gobbled it up. Came with fruit and milk.We also ordered a slice of chocolate pie. We were all super full so one slice shared among 5 people was perfect.Cozy ambiance. Very full restaurant. Absolutely loved the vibe. I would definitely come back.

It's a great breakfast diner on the Eastside. Place is family friendly and very welcoming atmosphere in Sammamish plateau. Staffs are friendly and very attentive to your table. We've all ordered half breakfast items and all came with side dishes that were ample to fill you up. Omelette and breakfast Benedict sandwiches were all freshly made. Bacon and ham were cooked to perfection. There is ample parking in the mall. If you're in the area and looking for a relaxing PNW vibe diner, check out Sammamish Cafe. Bon appetite!

Having a table near the kitchen is very loud. Not the best way to have a dinner conversation with 2 other people. The service was just okay. The volume between the kitchen and the restaurant is annoying. Not sure ll be back.

I waited about 5 visits before writing this because I know some businesses have bad/off days and I really like these kinds of diners. The food is variable in quality from very good to great. The portions vary depending on what day you come in. Will not return and tell all my friends that say, "it looks good" that the food is good but it's not worth it for the bad service. Place is clean though.

I love diner food, but not my recent lunch here, and i don't understand why the long queue when other places also have good food and similar ambiance. To the Cafe's credit, their reservation system works well. Your entire party just gotta be there when they call and start your 30-minute countdown.Post-pandemic though, prices have gone way up, and the portions of fish in my fish-and-chips had gone down. What was once one fillet about 8 ounces came as three 2-3 ounce pieces, over-breaded and over-fried, but billed on the register tape as "4 Fish & Chips"--which i noticed only after leaving. I did see immediately, the ordinary food-service-quality coffee billed at $3.95 each. The relaxing casual ambiance ought be even nicer and the queue shorter when they can seat on their outdoor deck. Don't go until then.

Hands down the best breakfast for dinner place in the area. This place is a local chain with a couple locations around the Seattle area, all with different names, but the same menu. I love this place because they serve breakfast for dinner which is one of my favorite meals that's hard to come across. I honestly don't think the food is exceptional or anything, but really good quality for a place serving a wide selection of dishes. I've been to this location and many of their other ones many times and I can say it's pretty hit or miss knowing you can either get really hot and fresh food with quick service, or be waiting an hour to receive cold food. That being said I give this place 5 stars just due to their ability to serve breakfast for dinner and would recommend it for a breakfast dinner, and less of a brunch place knowing there's better breakfast in the area.
