Salty Blue

We went here unintentionally, as the place we originally were going was unexpectedly closed. I'm sure glad we did. The food was delicious. Within our party the fish and chips, a salad, and a kids cheeseburger were ordered. Everyone loved what they ate. The adults enjoyed a draft beer. The owner was working front of house and was super friendly. We were craving something sweet at the end of our meal, and while they don't have a dessert menu, he suggested sweet potato fries with a dusting of sugar, and it was perfection. We cannot wait to go back. This is a casual and friendly place with exceptional food. Happy to support this local gem.

This is the only place that I swear by for fried fish. I've tried other places before for fish n chips but Salty Blue is the best in my opinion. The batter is so light and crispy, cod is super flaky and generous portions. My favorite items are also the battered fish tacos and the fish burger. Everything just tastes really fresh and the service is always nice.

This place is so cute! Happened to see it when I had to stop by my bank just down from it and decided to give it a try. I will for sure be back here. We had: Chowder. 3/5 this isn't a regular menu item and while it wasn't bad, in fact the flavor was actually quite good. When I think of chowder I think thick like clam chowder. The flavor was good, but was pretty runny. Make this thick and I'll be back for you. (It was also a seafood chowder which I quite liked. Different than the usual clam chowder you get a fish places) Fish and chips 10/5. I think I can say hands down this might be the best fish and chips I've ever had!! The batter was super crispy while also being so light on the fish. The chips were hand cut, cooked well and also crispy. I'm already planning my next stop for this! Calamari 5/5 these were also super yummy. They were lightly breaded rings. Way more calamari to breading the ratio was perfect. Flavor was great. Tartar 5/5. Let's face it sometimes the tartar makes the meal when it comes to a fish and chips place. Theirs is very good. Dill heavy and creamy. If you want the best fish and chips you'll ever have stop there today!

We stopped here for lunch. My husband got the Hoki fish and chips and he said it was WONDERFUL! He is quite the fish & chips connoisseur so that is high praise for him. Since I am very sensitive to garlic and onion I got the shrimp tacos-the cook grilled them for me and they were very tasty! Next time I would get their special sauce on the side.

The fried fish is amazing. Low key, quick, good food. Fast and casual. I'd skip the chowder on the next visit, it's close to awesome but meh.... Staff were friendly. this day and age prices are not outlandish but maybe I'm wrong for thinking spending around $50 on lunch is normal. I had two beers, fish plate and chowder. Added bonus, they don't take tips! I dislike when they ask for tip at "fast casual" places. Kudos to the owner.

Came a few months ago, but wanted to leave a review - we had the fish & chips and the potato cakes and they were all good. My friend from the east coast said it was the best fish & chips so far after her move here so that says something. I would return.

There's a reason this place is so highly rated. We tried the barramundi both ways (battered and grilled). The fish tacos were delicious-- fried to perfection with a crisp and light crust. You get your money's worth with big portions of fish that are larger than the tortillas and it feels light even though it's fried. The grilled barramundi was also tasty and a great option if you're trying to feel a little healthy. They make good tartar sauce and the fries were done well. We called in our order as we were heading up to Vancouver right after work and were trying to make it before they closed at 7pm. They were gracious to let us stay a little past closing while they cleaned up the kitchen, so our friend who was driving us up was able to eat which was much appreciated. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm visiting Seattle!

Quick efficient service and most importantly excellent food. This was my first visit and I definitely will be returning or ordering a Salty Blue delivery.

This place for me I must say has the best burger and fish in town. The Barramundi fried fish filet will have you going back daily to have the crispy flakiness of this beautiful fish and be sure to squeeze lemon in the dill sauce and on the fish it's a perfect match. The burger you just can't go wrong with beef bacon that was crispy and the food travels well too no greasy mess this burger came from a good home with two parents it's amazing. The fries amazing. I've had the chicken strips which has panko beading so delicious. I can continue about this place. A MUST!!!!!!!! GO HERE!!!!Service is great and ambiance is chill and relaxed.

Consistent great customer service! Guys taking your order are always polite, respectful and patient. The food comes out fast and it's delicious! They added new items to their menu and now they also serve chicken burgers. My favorite is barramundi (Australian sea bass) but my kids love their chicken schnitzel burger. Will recommend this business in a heartbeat!
