Amazing!!!! I stayed at the Loews Atlanta for my birthday. As an American Express platinum member I was given a food credit. I chose in-room dining. Tbh I have NEVER had dining in a hotel as delicious as this. I've stayed in the Waldorf & the fairmont hotels too. I chose the steak & frites, rose wine glass & a margarita pizza. Everything was mouth watering & amazing! I will definitely be back for my next celebration!

While a bit pricy (to be expected, it's in a Lowe's hotel) it's an incredible experience. Their service is amazing, especially at the bar from the bartenders. We celebrated my birthday here and they made it super special!

This review is for the salad bar only: 5 different kinds of mixed greens, dried fruits and nuts. Big variety of dressings, bread etc. Many of the items were unique and interesting. The chef toss your salad with your choice of protein which was large chunk of steak, chicken right in front of you. Chocolate chip cookies were also delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, calm and stylish. This quality for under $20 is great value for money and very satisfying. I will definitely be back again.

Saltwood is located inside the Lowes' Hotel. If you are unfamiliar with the area, you can easily miss the hotel entrance. The hotel sign is not easy to spot and Saltwood does not have a restaurant sign either. The hotel entrance is to the left side of Cafe Intermezzo, which sits on the corner of Peachtree Street NE and 11th Street. I believe there's a more prominent entrance if you're entering via 11th Street. Parking: No free parking that I know of... I walked here from work.Food: I came here for the salad bar which was GREAT. For a fixed price of $13.50, you can create your own salad! I came in extra hungry and forgot to take photos of the salad bar *facepalm* So from off the top of my head, here are some of the selections:Salad Base: Romaine, Spinach, and Cesar Toppings: Jalapenos, onions, bell peppers, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, cheddar cheese, corn, carrots, mushrooms, quinoa, sprouts, boiled eggs, various nuts, and dry fruits.Sauces/Dressing: 6 different dressings and various types of vinegar across the top of the salad bar (easy to miss if you don't look up)Sides: Cornbread and banana pudding. Cornbread was kind of dry for me, but not bad. Meats: Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp! You can ask for any combination too! The shrimp was very tasty. The steak varies - some slices were cooked well done, others were medium. Service: Good. The lady that mixed our salad was great! Otherwise, we didn't interact much with anyone else. If you're looking for a quick lunch spot, Saltwood is a great place to go!

Day 1, the hostess abandoned a line of 7 people. A seperate hostess returned to advise patrons waiting it would take 35-40 for our food. Why you ask...no clue. It was a terrible way to start the morning breakfast experience. Day 2 was much better. Pleasant, prompt service along with an enjoyable breakfast. Saltwood is located inside Loews Hotel, offers a full restaurant as well as bar area dining experience. For breakfast:Gluten free English muffin, fresh fruit, coffee, healthy cold pressed juice, sliced avocado. All a la carte per my request & I appreciated that. At the bar the service was stellar. Peter does an awesome job remembering guests, drinks and working the room efficiently if not for him this rating would definitely be a sokid 3. I tried fried avocado for the first time...interesting combination; decent but didn't knock my socks off. The side salad was satisfying. In-room dining offered a tomato soup that was pretty good. Signature cocktails & champagne did not disappoint. Oh, the bar nuts are roasted in-house upon requests; nice touch. ~Christy

On yesterday, I had an opportunity to dine with some coworkers and my boss for Admin Professional Day. Saltwood is located inside the Loews Hotel in Midtown Atlanta. Upon arrival, we were able to valet park at no additional charge. The restaurant is located in the rear of the hotel. There were about 20 of us. It was amazing to see how the staff and the managers there were able to accommodate us. Saltwood is famous for their Upscale salad bar. Any and everything you could imagine was on the bar and because I eat SALAD with My Dressing, LOL. Every piece of the salad was amazing and I had plenty leftovers for today. So how it works, you head over to the bar and get a huge bowl and add whatever toppings you want and when you reach the midpoint or close to the end of the line, there was bread pudding and cornbread! Both the BOMB! They had a huge variety of oils, seasonings, dressings, toppings. It was endless. So the highlight for me was the oils. I mixed the garlic oil and blue cheese dressing and could have slapped somebody after ALL that GOODNESS! At the END of the line were the PROTEIN options. Chicken, Steak and/or Shrimp to add to your salad as the staff retrieves your bowl and toss it for you. I opted for the chicken and shrimp tossed inside with my salad and asked for a few pieces of steak on the side. I will most definitely be back. Thanks to the AMAZING STAFF AND Hats off to this amazing concept. Picture to follow. SYOY! onelove

Came here because we stayed in the hotel and didn't feel like going out to eat. Excellent service and food was good. We got the American burger, French onion soup and the chicken piccata. Chicken was a little dry, but other than that good flavors.

We came for Sunday brunch. They offer the same brunch on Saturday as well. The brunch is $30 & is overpriced for what they offer IMO. I've eaten at various high end and moderate brunch places around Atlanta, and the country, and the selection here is not close for the offerings and the cost. The tapas items sat under a light and were not the freshest by the time we got there around 12:30. The tapas items were the only lunch items that I recall. The made to order omelette was good. The desserts are basically continental breakfast baked goods.i wasn't impressed at all.The server was friendly. They don't validate parking for the deck. They only validate for the valet parking. We paid $12 for parking in the deck.

Like many others, I just ate here because we were in the hotel and I didn't feel like going out by myself while my wife was in a meeting. The waitstaff was very friendly and efficient. The food (standard American breakfast) was just ok. The eggs were good, not terrific like some other hotel restaurants, and the chicken sausage tasted funny. I was concerned that the sausage might have been bad, but it was probably the flavor because no stomach problems so far. (Updating this review: it's been a few hours since breakfast and their sausage has caused light to moderate food poisoning so far.) The decaf coffee seemed like they did a pour over or some sort of instant brew. Consequently, avoid the chicken sausage and either get the regular brewed coffee or don't drink coffee here. Like most hotel restaurants it was way overpriced for what u get, but half the cost of getting the same thing via room service and good for saving a trip out. It is not worth the food poisoning to get the convenience and service. There are better and more economical places to eat near by, but service is hit and miss in the area and so is food quality--so check Yelp and make sure to compare recent and older reviews to see if quality dropped. Cheers!!

This place has a lot of mixed reviews, I think it is a great choice for a filling and healthy lunch. I only tried the salad bar, and I was very satisfied with both steak and shrimp. Veggies were very fresh, a wide choice of dressings, olive oil, fruits.. This place can beat up many choices around the area. It is usually very crowded weekdays during noon, hard to find a table. If you're there for salad bar, better to come early-ish. The only drawback is that salad bar is only open 12-2pm. They close it around 1:40ish.
