Saltgrass Steak House

Since I used to live in Texas I know this steakhouse very well. So, of course I'm going to go here while I'm in Nashville! I so missed these grass fed certified angus steaks! Nobody does it like this place.The ribeye was tender, juicy and buttery with that slightly smoked flavor. The Caesar salad is so yummy that I asked for the dressing recipe.. yeah, they wouldn't give it to me. It has just the right amount of salty, cheesiness. The bread is sweet and makes me think I'm being healthy eating wheat but once I slather that honey butter on it then it feels like a treat to myself.The service I received was exceptional and she deserved the extra tip!! I would go back to Saltgrass anytime.This is an upscale but casual vibe. The good upscale bit you can come in wearing shorts and a ball cap during the lunch hour.If you ever get the chance, definitely go to a Saltgrass Steakhouse.. there is one in Florida close to the Disney World Resort for those Disney fans, but I haven't found one in California yet.

Long review..but necessary. I REALLY wanted to like this place. I made reservation on their website for 6:15. When we got seated, we were told they "closed" at 6:00 so if we wanted a drink it now or never because the bar is closing. Why the heck do you take reservations AFTER you close. The service was fine BUT when you ask your server if your "fries" are "supposed to be cold, soggy and uncooked" and they try to justify it rather than ask how they can fix it, you know you are not going to have a good experience. DO NOT spend money on the "filet". It might be a center cut of "something but I GUARANTEE it is DEFINITELY NOT a filet mignon...texture was wrong. Now, to top it off, the MANAGER ON DUTY picked up our plates of largely UNEATEN food and never even bothered to ask WHY WE WASTED A 40.00 steak.. totally oblivious. Anyway, SKIP THIS PLACE

Excited to be in Nashville and attending concert at The Grand Opry!Saltgrass Steakhouse perfectly located near the Opry- walking distance.Enjoyed dinner before the concert!Our Server Amya was exceptional!She knew the menu well, made recommendations.She kept our water glasses filled without even asking.I usually get seltzer plain no lemon no ice!That's exactly what she brought me without having to ask!Amaya's recommendation for the Tropical Sangria was spot on!Fruity and freshening!Enjoyed my Salmon Oscar!We are Landry Members and Amya looked up our profile. Great place for an Opry pre meal. Prices are reasonable and food was excellent. Spend a few extra dollars but you get what you pay for

We ordered the Urban Cowboy ( strip steak w/ grilled shrimp) and 12oz Ribeye. Sides were good- green beans remained crispy even heated the day after, herb rice had a good flavor and the Cesar salad was fresh and crisp. The dressing was light and flavorful! Steaks were tender and full of flavor, shrimp was a little salty. Good service. Would go back again.

the service and the food at this Tennessee location was good. It's located inside a mall, but it doesn't feel like a mall type of restaurant. Plenty of options on the menu and the prices are comparable if not better than most places that serve this type of food.

The Texas tee is fantastic, the salmon is full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Be sure to look at your receipt as the server tried to incorrectly charge happy hour prices as full price until it was pointed out. Other the a server who tried to overcharge a great visit.

We had reservations so I am not sure how long of a wait it would have been without. But let me tell you - our waiter was amazing! He was attentive & prompt. I wish I could remember his name. He recommended the filet trio - I am not sure there could have been anything any more perfect on the menu! Flash fried green beans with the trio - 2 others in our party had the bone in ribeye, maybe a chopped steak & a smothered filet. No one had anything negative to say. It was all amazing!

Had another great meal at Saltgrass. They have a new manager and new person at the host station today and service was great. We have Landry's so we got priority seating. We started with the fried mushrooms, salads and soup. All were yummy. For entrees, we ordered the ribeye, filet, and bone-in ribeye. All steaks were cooked perfectly to order and were all very tender. Zooey was great and always made sure our drinks were refilled. Looking forward to coming back again

Short staffed led to a wait even though the place was half empty but we understand that aspect. The waitress we got was fantastic with making sure we had all we needed food and drinks wise. It's a higher end scaled restaurant price wise for all the wrong reasons. It's identically to like a Logan's or TGI Fridays but charges much more. The steak was great, but everything else felt like it was your run of the mill chain sit down restaurant food. The vibe is fine, but overly not in love with so much foot traffic and the noise from the mall.First and probably last time going, it's not bad but there are better options in the mall.
