Stopped by while visiting Bainbridge and we are glad we did! We were immediately greeted and felt so welcomed. The quality of the products sold here is top-notch. She made recommendations and definitely helped with our purchases. Finley the chihuahua was an added bonus! Check this place out!

We wondered in this store while visiting Bainbridge on a nice fall afternoon. When you walk in you're greeted by the smells of many amazing things. They have lots of candles, and bath treats, food, and baby toys, but the coolest thig they carry is the salt. So many flavors with a unique story. Definitely stop in here if you can. We left with so many goodies.

My husband and I previously went to Salt House and loved it. I bought amazing handmade soaps while he bought a fantastic steak rub. We were looking forward to getting both again since we'd run out of the rub and my husband wanted to buy from the shop instead of amazon. Yesterday, I popped into the store twice. Once with my six year old son who was doing the Where's Waldo search and excited to get another location. Upon us entering, the guy working was sitting in a chair talking on the phone. He promptly got up and continued his call in the back room while we waited for five minutes just to get a Waldo stamp. After he kept talking and never came back out we left. I was annoyed but let it be. These things happen. The second time I entered the store yesterday, I had my husband with me and when he couldn't find the steak rub he asked the guy if they were out (same guy who was on the phone in the back earlier). The guy looked at where he thought it was and said they 'probably were' and then continued to mill about. So my husband asked if more was coming in and could he call when it did (we live in Bothell but were more than willing to come back and support local shops) and my mom chimes in and said the store could call her since she lives closer and would grab it for us. The guy responded by saying "I really don't want to work today." And took off to the back of the store again. Needless to say we weren't happy with this at all and walked out. We will not be returning to Salt House to support them anymore. They were rude and clearly acted as if they didn't need our business.

This is a very inviting and soothing shop to visit for a few minutes on any pass through Winslow. You'll find paper goods, treats, linens, amazing candles and more all thoughtfully curated. I ended up "accidentally" finding several local food and stationary items that I couldn't pass up! The owner helped me gather a few things to give as a hostess basket for an upcoming trip we're taking, and then even offered to package everything (including my hand written note) and ship it to our destination for a very small fee. Great service and very special products make this a must on your Bainbridge list!

Beautiful store and kind welcoming staff. So many wonderful smelling products. My sister got a great shopping bag there she will get a lot of use from, totally reminds me of Rose Apothecary.

Cool spot! Since my last review didn't stick! Here we go! Oh my!! I found this place walking to my meeting. So exciting because I have been to the store but in Bainbridge island! And turns out, they just opened 3 weeks ago. Excitement continues!! The good ~ beautiful white decor with monochrome products. Everything is in its place with beautiful hues. The best ~ organic handmade things!! They have stunning little hand sewed organic toys. No two members of the fox family is alike since they are handmade but they are beautiful! Start from $80 so it isn't cheap. But I'd buy it if I have a kid. They also have stunning leather goods. Major envy of their beautiful hand stitched leather bag. If it wasn't so big, I would've bought it today! And it's not treated so the color will change. To top it all off, their staff is great. Madison was friendly and great in getting me things! I love their honey pots! Pottery anyone? So many beautiful things in here, it can be detrimental to my wallet! But then again, that's not the worst problem to have.

The Salt House Mercantile is an amazing store. Their service is outstanding. We were welcomed upon entering the beautiful brick and mortar store. The staff had to dogs in the store who were very friendly, but also were away from any of the main shopping. The staff was very helpful offering to drive product over to Seattle for us. The is a wide variety of wool products. Blankets in multiple sizes and colors. The cocktail section was personally my favorite. Multiple bitters and aromatics.

Driving through town there are dozens of little shops but this was one I really wanted to stop in at! We thought they had closed but the super friendly gal at the counter very warmly invited us in. The shop is definitely minimalist compared to some in the area, but everything is so tastefully unique! They have a table with soaps and lotions that smell amazing, especially the Bourbon & Vanilla! There are specialty culinary items like smoked salt, syrups, knives, cutting boards, and kitchen linens. There are also blankets, pillows, and candles for the home. They don't have an online store, but we were told that they do have a website and are happy to ship! Will definitely be back next time we are in town!

I had to take a moment to write a review after having such a wonderful experience at Salt House Mercantile today. My daughter and I popped in for a moment just to browse and wound up finding some wonderful gifts for a Father's Day. The owner was so warm & welcoming & she went out of her way to (gorgeously!) gift wrap the present and let us pick out a complimentary greeting card. Right now shopping with all the covid precautions & masks is challenging and strange...but she made it as welcoming & enjoyable of a shopping experience possible which we really appreciated. The products she carries are all pretty luxurious and irresistible- she is clearly an incredibly talented curator of her store. I really had to control myself to not buy up a lot of the decadently scented lotions & handwashes. Can't wait to go back the next time I need a thoughtful & creative gift for someone (or maybe just for myself)!
