I like to splurge on Salt & Straw every once in a while. My favorite flavor is the honey lavender--it's light and refreshing, perfect for a little treat. Salt & Straw has a wide selection of premium, thoughtfully curated flavors, and their unique seasonal selections are always exciting.Just a heads up--be prepared for some sticker shock. One scoop of ice cream is over $7. But honestly, it's worth it for the quality and experience!

Delicious ice cream with regular availability of one or two vegan options and at least a couple dairy and non-dairy gluten-free options. It is very exciting when one of the seasonal flavor rotations they cycle through is focused on even more vegan gluten-free options. The mainstay vegan options are unfortunately not as kid-friendly as I would like. I really appreciate that the staff are willing to get an "allergy" scoop with a new clean scoop in a yet-unopened container for customers with intolerances or allergies when the option is available. The outdoor pavilion with fireplaces or heaters near the seating is nice in winter and the shade welcome in summer. It is not their fault they are so popular but it is not great to stand out in a long line in the sun on really busy days and I've given up ice cream here more than once, which really seems to be a staffing issue, even though the ice cream is delicious.

The most amazing service I've ever witnessed! Friendly, prompt and super efficient. The ice cream is amazing! I had to go back the next day after trying it the night before! I never do that! Fell in love with the lemon curd and whey. Fluffy, light, and creamy! INCREDEvery flavor I tried is subtle and well done. The atmosphere of the village is incredible! I felt like I was somewhere else!

Overhyped ice cream. It was ok, nothing special..we tried the guava and the cookies and cream IPA. Our girls had the strawberry coconut. We were expecting to be blown away considering the hype and the price...a scoop on a waffle cone is hitting $10.

Small disclaimer: I'm not really a salt and straw fan . I'll go if the people with are going, but I'm not going to suggest it. I usually find that the flavors are either too sweet or just not that good. I was pretty pleasantly surprised this visit though. This location is in the middle of the totem lake village and has a little outdoor area to enjoy your scoops. The line was long but it moved pretty quickly. I got a split scoop of mom's mango pie and chocolate gooey brownie. It was surprisingly a good combo, but also pretty good separately. The mango scoop was light and had little bits of pie crust which made it interesting and a little buttery. The chocolate brownie was a pretty classic chocolate flavor, with large chunks of brownie. Together it felt like I was eating a mango chocolate brownie.

This is a really cool S&S that's at the center of the Totem Lake mall. The line is almost always out the door and often stretches beyond the pizza place in the summer. The fire pit at the center is a nice place to enjoy your ice cream, if you can squeeze in. Maybe I've just been to old S&S shops (or covid regulations) but I was delighted to know that I could try samples and it came on metal spoons, and there was a little deposit slot in the booth to return them. The staff were really nice and accommodating and I appreciated their recommendations.

It was my first time here and I got honey lavender and strawberry balsamic with black pepper. If you are a fan of lavender flavored things, try this ice cream!! I'd get this flavor again. The strawberry balsamic was also really interesting. I could definitely taste the balsamic but not so much the black pepper which is good. I recommend trying a sample of everything you like! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming too. Definitely busy inside on a weekend.

Love their Arbequena Olive Oil! It is tasty, not overly sweet, and it's not too creamy like any other ice cream.

Salt and Straw has completely changed my perspective on ice cream. Even though I'm not typically an ice cream person, I eagerly look forward to their monthly flavor rotations. The location and ambiance are fantastic, making it the perfect cozy spot for friends and family to hang out.The shop is conveniently located near a theater, so grabbing a quick ice cream after a movie is easy. Plus, there are plenty of good food options nearby. Just across from Salt and Straw, there are two seating areas with electric fires in the middle, making it an ideal spot for groups to hang out and have some personal space. The staff is incredibly friendly and patient, allowing you to sample as many flavors as you want. They also offer vegan options, which is a great bonus. My all-time favorite is the Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Recently, I tried their Flowers Series, and the Pistachio Rose and Jasmine Tea flavors are must-tries. I especially liked the Jasmine Tea as it wasn't too sweet, which allowed me to finish an entire scoop--a rare occurrence for me.Salt and Straw is more than just an ice cream shop; it's an experience worth having, whether you're a dessert enthusiast or not.
