Complimentary chips and salsa
a plate of food and a drink
This is what the restaurant looks like from the outside. It is not apparent to me that these are two different restaurants.

If you like Mexican food, check out Salsa Street. It has great Mexican food, great service, and overall great dining experience. While you wait for your food, the table got some warm chips and salsa. Warm chips. It's a nice touch. The guacamole ok taste, wish there was more seasoning, but the texture and overall dish was still good. I ordered the chicken fajitas. It came with ample amount of chicken, veggies, and tortillas. Our server was nice and our food came out pretty quickly. Overall, a good dining experience

We have been to the Dundee location a few times and my work has gotten take out from this location (the first time I ever had it) Still one of my favorite Mexican restaurants around. This was the first time we have been to the Palatine location. it doesn't look like much on the outside or inside but the food is great. Service was quick and attentive, it was later on a week night and there was only a few other tables filled. I love their black beans, I think they are the best I have ever had and the cilantro rice is excellent as well. Since we have noit been in a long time I didn't deviate from things I had and love. The 3 taco platter with One Wild Mushroom, Queso Fresco and Relleno Taco. All were just so good, the Queso Fresco with the carnalized cheese alvacado and elote is just a stunning taco. I really love this place and this location is as good as the Dundee location. Dont pass on it

It can be a challenge to find interesting vegetarian options at Mexican restaurants that go above and beyond grilled fajita veggies and a tortilla, but Salsa Street rises to the occasion. Their black bean and mushroom tacos are so flavorful and the rice and beans on the side are a nice touch. The service is always fast and friendly. A hidden gem of the NW suburbs.

Not in the same league as Salsa 17. I would just have to call it unremarkable. Not very good

100% must try! A true Hidden gem in the treasure chest of inadequate Mexican restaurants. Great attention paid to detail. Black beans tenderly cooked to perfection, the Crab cake taco is to die for ! I've never had a better taco! The perfect combination of texture and flavor! Cold Crispy cold slaw with a hot, tender, crispy crab cake this is heaven. This is a must for any foodie.

Excellent customer service at reasonable prices. Their tortilla soup is the best around - especially if you add fresh avocado and a dab of sour cream. The street taco recipes give you many options to choose from so you can't go wrong. AND you should enjoy dining out of their patio - either under the sun - if you are so inclined - or under their tent. Salsa Street's patio is the largest patio around as well as the most quiet and relaxing- not like some other Mexican restaurants that have blocked off the parking lot so that you enjoy exhaust fumes with you food. This place is a legit dining experience.

I had a group meeting here this afternoon and I have to mention that our sever was great. She was attentive, polite, patient with us. She was able to split checks, and make to go orders quickly (great food). I must mention that the Togo order was packed perfectly! I have been if the food service and this was done nicely to keep it warm and not over wrapped. I have been here before and it is always great food and service!! My check had the server name of Brenda H. She was very classy, polite and attentive. Thank you!!!!Cheers!

Do not come to this establishment. First of all, it is not clear that there are two Mexican restaurants side-by-side. I was in between business appointments, and I was eating by myself. Usually, I would use the restroom prior to going to my table so that I don't have to leave my purse and coat unattended. I went into the restroom and the owner followed me into the restroom to tersely announce that it was not a public restroom. I informed her that I intended to eat in the restaurant. FYI, the restaurants are connected. It is obvious that one is a walk up window, and the other one is sit down. I went to sit down in a booth and placed my order. The same woman/owner came to take my order but before she would take my order, she wanted to scold me on the difference between the two restaurants and that I should not have used the restroom that I used when I walked in the door. When I asked her to not talk to me, in that tone of voice, she asked me to leave. I was happy to leave!
