In town for a quick visit from Cali. Bumped into this gem by accident. We were in the south end to visit Woodys L St Tavern. (This bar was featured in the movie Good Will Hunting.)Upon arrival to Sal's tiny restaurant we were greeted warmly. My husband ordered the pizza and myself and my son ordered a pasta dish that was to die for. . Unfortunately I waited so long to finish this review I don't recall the name. But trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Can't even begin to tell you how sals turned my night around. My friends and I were starving, we had given up hope and decided we drink our sorrows at L street. Just as we sit down we see a light twinkle across the street. It's sals. We order a meatball sub, chicken Caesar wrap, crispy chicken wrap, and fries. We inhaled everything while enjoying a nice drink at l street tavern. This place is the definition of hidden gem.

Love their Steak & Cheese Subs! Have not tried anything else but I'm sure everything is awesome they are always busy

Quick and good service. Food was delicious and the chicken was packed into the sun I had ordered.

My favorite place in southie!!!! Owners are the BEST! Recommend the buffalo chicken arinchini 11/10000 and the vodka pasta

Sals never disappoints.........Pizza is the best !!! The sauce is key and it's goodIt is a take out...but you have the option to eat in and the seating is fine.The riceballs (the best) It's just real good......

The food here is authentic and superb. Big shout out to their soups which are home made by Luisa whom I believe must have learned from my Sicilian grandmother. The very best

Best Pizza in My opinion. Everytime I am in south Boston I have to get a few slices of buffalo chicken pizza from sals that's the first thing that comes to mind haha . The service is always top notch As Well. Thanks Sals

Sal's is a hidden gem and exactly what I need after a long Saturday at L street with my friends. The friendly staff and scrumptious (fairly priced) food has kept me coming back. Not to mention the large menu with ample variety!!! Last night I dug into my usual chicken Caesar wrap and side of fries. My friend tried the meatball sub and absolutely loved it. Compliments to the chef on the meat to bread ratio! Can't wait to stumble in again next weekend!!
